It can be very difficult to heal from a broken heart. It is no accident that there are so many sad songs written about lost love, and so many stories in magazines and on talk shows about failed love relationships. Many self-help experts proclaim they have the true answer to how to heal a broken heart.
I know from personal experience that it can be one of the hardest things in life to understand and overcome. When I had my heart broken, I used music in healing process, because I could relate what the song was about. Is Your Partner Cheating?
In recent years I have been getting an increasing number of calls from married people wanting to know about another person they are interested in, or someone with whom they have been cheating on their spouse. In fact, I have several clients who are married, but are also dating and having sexual intimacy with people outside their marriage.
Interestingly, I get more calls from women than men who are cheating. Often times I see that the person they are having the affair with is much more compatible with them, compared to their current spouse. I never judge, my clients who call with such questions have always commented to me how they love how I don’t judge, or lecture them, or voice my personal opinion. Past Life Love Difficulties
Have you ever wondered why you feel so connected to a certain person, but don’t know why? It’s that ‘familiar’ feeling when your talking to someone for the first time. You may also experience déjà vu – that you have known or been with this person before, although you have never met them. You may even see flashes of yourself with that person in a different country, or distant place and time.
These experiences come from cell memory connected to past lives. In that moment you are tapping into a past life with that person.
When this happens it’s important to realize that there is still soul growth that needs to take place and that is why you both met up again in this life. Sometimes it’s not a positive experience, but you need to go through some potentially unpleasant experiences with that person. This may come in the form of romantic relationship challenges, or reaching that person on a deeper level by learning how to be true friends. The Gift Of Traumatic Life Experiences
It never ceases to amaze me how much I learn from clients every day. More and more clients also show me how they have found ‘the gift’ in their own personal challenges and heartbreak.
One of my clients had a very abusive childhood, and two subsequent abusive marriages. She told me recently how she wrote each of her ex-husbands a detailed letter. She thanked them for the gift they had given her; the growth she had experienced from the myriad of ‘not so happy experiences’ during her life journey with them. Was she playing the victim or merely expressing her anger to them? No, she absolutely meant it.
She also talked about more recent failed relationships and the many gifts derived from knowing deep rejection all the way through to sabotage. And now, finally, she has met a guy who appears to be her ideal mate – she is ready to surrender and enjoy the experience, wherever it takes her. Now she can enjoy the gift of shared love. Perfect Love Is For Better Or Worse
What is perfect love? Is there such a thing? How can two people make their love last? Do we belong together? If we argue, does that mean we are not soulmates? These are a few of the questions I get asked in relationship readings.
The answer is the best of marriages have had their ups and downs. Perfect love is loving your partner when things aren’t perfect. It’s seeing through the negative energy and working through it.
Working through can take many forms. It may be leaving the house and taking some time away, or spending some time away from one another in some way, shape or form. Space and time heals all, especially for those that are living together, or married. There is much truth in the popular Chicago ballad, Hard to Say I’m Sorry, because everybody does need “a little time away”. Continue reading
Just Let it Go
Can you imagine how wretched you would feel if you kept trying to wear a pair of shoes at age 30 that fit you when you were 6? The pain would be unimaginable, excruciating and intense. You would cripple yourself and in all likelihood be unable to walk, be unable to move.
But you wouldn’t do that, right? That doesn’t make any sense, you say. Well, of course it doesn’t make any sense. And of course you’d never try to do that, because they wouldn’t fit you anymore!
At certain times in our lives it becomes really important to acknowledge that something or someone just doesn’t fit us anymore.
Is a person any different from a pair of shoes in this context? Of course not. Yet so often we keep on trying to make a person fit into our lives. We bend ourselves out of shape, trying so hard to make this person fit, when in fact their time, just like the old pair of shoes, has by now long come and gone. Continue reading
