Why We Feel Drained
People who are ‘old souls’ or, if you prefer, ‘highly enlightened beings’, become drained very quickly when around others of lower energetic vibrations. Why does this happen, a dear client of mine asked me recently. I meditated on this and asked God, the Source of all Love and Light, and what came to me was the following.
We become drained, because when our heart is open and we are connected to the Divine we unfortunately encounter souls who have not progressed enough, so there is negative inside of them, which causes the sensitive or empathic person to become drained very quickly.
These negative souls are also known to us humans here on Earth as energy vampires. These people drain our energy, because they do not know how to silence the mind and recharge their own batteries without someone else’s help. So, with their negative emotions they can get to us. Continue reading
The Mysterious Music Box
Every year when autumn rolls around I go through my house and get rid of the clutter. I have a huge bag labeled “Second Hand Shop” and if the stuff has outworn its usefulness, in that bag it goes. So, recently, I once more set out to drop off these no longer wanted things at the shop it was intended for.
Whenever I go into antique shops or second hand shops, I immediately switch off. I have to, otherwise it would be like going into a funeral home and absorbing everyone’s sadness and grief, then taking it home with me. Psychic Connections
Some days, as a psychic reader, I want to just curl up in a ball and hide from the world. These are the days when nobody sees me and I stay in bed watching Charmed all day long. Sometimes for days on end. It helps me believe in magic again and helps me to recharge my psychic batteries. Other days I am on top of the world and psychically ready to take on anything!
It comes down to filters, really, and how much the professional psychic takes in every day. When I was a young reader, just starting out, I took everything to heart. So many times I would go outside, after a particularly difficult reading, and just cry my eyes out. One such time, an older reader came up to me and said, “you have to learn to let this all go through you, or you won’t last very long in.” And she had been reading at that time for 25 years, whereas I was just starting out. My Method Of Healing Balance
We all have the ability to help and to heal others, but for some of us it’s a calling we are drawn to in this lifetime.
I have studied and applied various healing techniques during my working career as a healer. I have always felt that no matter which technique we use, be it hands on healing, massage, or Reiki, healing actually comes ‘through’ us. When we open ourselves up as channels our spirit helpers can send healing energy through us that frequently creates powerful shifts within the patient. Often it is also to the disbelief of some medical practitioners.
I’ve created my own healing ‘blend’ from the various modalities I have studied, and I like to call this Healing Balance. Healing Balance works with particular access points into the body – the 7 major chakras and the minor chakras located mainly at the joints. Talking To A Brick Wall?
“Hello…hello..?” Ever feel like you’re talking to a brick wall in your relationships? It could be when you are communicating with your child, your spouse or even a parent. It can be so frustrating to have to repeat yourself over and over.
In today’s world we are inundated with technology that causes a lot of the disconnectedness we experience in society. People’s attentions get fixated on things that are not of any real value or meaningfulness. Some of the ridiculous shows they put on television at night just leaves me with my jaw hitting the floor! How can we be that fixated on all this negative stuff? It’s disheartening. I sometimes wonder what life would be like if we focused on things that were of love, peace and just simple happiness. You Need Some Pop-up Preparedness
Life happens, therefore pop-ups happen to. What is a ‘pop up’? Well, a pop-up is something unforeseen that occurs to put a snare or trip you up in a negative way. It is a term I have invented for lack of a better one. I feel it’s a gentler way of describing those negative things that tend to pop-up during the course of our life that set us back in some way.
A family may have planned a very special time together, for example, and they had looked forward to it and patiently awaited that very enjoyable event. Then the phone rings and one of the parents has to go and tend to a new priority, and the child is left wondering what happened.
Well, what do we do in today’s world, where we live by the cell phones and social networking websites, and our friends’ and other people’s needs and desires, while putting those that we are supposed to treasure the most and love the most on the ‘back burner’. Keep That Love Attraction Flowing!
We are all walking magnets. We attract or we bounce off of one another. When we are lucky enough to find someone whom we don’t bounce off of, and feel a connection or desire to be with that person, it’s because we need something from them that can help us on some level. It could be spiritual, emotional or psychical.
There has to be something to help us evolve in this incarnation in order for us to feel that connection, or rather desire, to spend time with a person or share the same space for a time. I feel that this attraction remains alive and fresh; it never thins, our or dies out. It is the ‘magic ingredient’, if you will, that keeps us with a spouse or partner with whom we are in a relationship. Continue reading
