It is sometimes said that our destiny lies in our own hands. Well, it is true. Literally. With the ancient art of palmistry we can learn deeper truths about ourselves and, yes, even our destiny.
Palmistry, also known as Chiromancy, is the divination of meaning by reading hands. Someone new to this field may think that palmistry is only about the lines on the palm of the hand. However, the size and length of the fingers themselves, fingernails, and the ratio of the digits, all also hold deeper meaning.
Each of us has a dominant hand. The aspects of this hand usually represent the part of ourselves we project to the world, much like our Sun sign in Astrology. The less dominant hand represents our more hidden aspects and desires, which corresponds to our Moon sign. It’s therefore best to examine your dominant hand for an accurate reading.
Tarot And The Future
The Tarot is a wonderful resource for gauging which direction we are heading in life. However, too often people seeking information will misunderstand the system. They want to know the future, but the Tarot does not create the future. The Tarot is a metaphysical tool and does not negate metaphysical laws. We can certainly see which direction we are headed in our lives, based on the insights the Tarot can provide. However, it is important to pay attention to the whole message that is coming through.
Rushing to the end of a Tarot reading is unwise, since there are often elements of change that are integral to the outcomes. I often explain it like this: the Tarot works in much the same way as a Global Positioning System (GPS). The end point will represent the coordinates that we either desire, or are currently headed toward. The other cards represent the path to get there. At times, the Tarot will provide directives that help us along the way. Just like with a GPS, we cannot expect to get to the right location if we are unwilling to follow the instructions necessary to get us to the right place.

Aromatherapy Divination
Our sense of smell is most closely related to parts of the brain that play a major role in controlling mood, memory, behavior, and emotion. In a spiritual sense, smells can trigger memories of people, places, and past events. There’s even a type of psychic ability in mediumship when communicating with deceased loved ones, known as clairolfaction or clairalience.
Clairolfaction is when we smell something that reminds us of someone we used to know who is now on the Other Side. This smell is distinct and comes out of nowhere. When a deceased loved one pays a visit to someone in the living and makes their presence known through smell, it could come through as a perfume they used to wear, or the smell of cigarette smoke, flowers, foods, or just about anything unique to that person.
The Mystical Power Of Mirrors
I just had a debate with a colleague about using a mirror as a divination tool, also known as scrying. She was adamant that the only type of mirror which can be used for scrying is a black mirror, which is made of darkened, smoky glass. In my experience this is not necessarily true.
I explained to her that one evening, in a dimly-lit hotel room, whilst I was brushing my hair in the mirror, I saw to my left, via my peripheral vision, my grandfather sitting in the room’s armchair. He was smiling at me, and I remember this vision like it was yesterday.
I had only ever met my paternal grandfather twice, as a toddler, and I had almost no recollection of him at all, other than photos of him I was shown in later years. What I was told, on two occasions by psychics years later, is that he was always around me and that he would never allow any harm to come to me.
