Night Owls

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comI am a typical night owl. ‘Night owl’ is the nickname often given to people who are typically awake late at night, while the rest of the world are asleep and dreaming. I believe as long as one gets enough sleep to maintain your health, it really doesn’t matter whether you are a night owl… or an early bird. ‘Early bird’ is, of course, the nickname that is usually assigned to the early risers.

This brings up a question that my clients and students ask a lot. Why do I wake up almost every night between 3:00 and 4:30am? Well, it’s traditionally called the ‘witching hour.’ As a psychic medium I know from experience that this is the time when spirit can come through more easily, because there is more moisture in the air at this time of the night. We are bio-electrical beings and spirit is pure energy. With water being a conductor for electricity, it makes sense it would be easier for them to communicate with us at this time.

Religion, Superstition And Personal Spiritual Practice

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comReligion is not only a codified system of beliefs, it also includes rituals that some might label as superstitions. The difference between belief and superstition is experience. If you experience something it is a reality, for you, and you will believe it. If you don’t experience it, then it is only hearsay and without proof you don’t necessarily believe it. However, you might still engage in it, because you were ‘told’ it is true. The latter usually applies to religion. Sound familiar?

Superstitions are the building blocks of present day religions. People tithe the church, for example, because they were told that is what God expects and they will be rewarded with prosperity. Some people use guided meditations, or rituals and spells, to manifest what they want, without having any real experiences of feeling an energetic connection themselves.

How To Improve Your Money Karma

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comKarma and money can be a very confusing and complicated spiritual matter. There are lessons in being poor and lessons in being rich. We will be rich in some lifetimes, and poor in others. Most lifetimes we will swing left and right of the middle of wealth.

The universe sometimes uses money as karma, but not always. Money is neither good nor bad. Money is energy. It can be used for good or bad.

The test for poverty is: can you be happy, healthy, holy, loving, generous and not be materialist or greedy if you are poor? The test for wealth is: can you be happy, healthy, holy, loving, generous and not be materialist or greedy if you are rich? Can you find peace no matter how much or how little money is in the bank?

Your Life Path Number

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comWhen it comes to our birthdays, we may think of our zodiac sign first, but did you know numerology is just as insightful? Each of us has a Life Path number which can be easily determined by our date of birth.

For example, the Life Path number for someone born on January 14, 1974 is 9. January is the first month of the year (1). The 14th reduces to 5 (1+4). The year 1974 reduces to 3 (1+9+7+4=21; 2+1=3). When we add each of these together, we get 9 (1+5+3).

Everyone has a Life Path number between 1 and 9. Life Path 1 people are, not surprisingly, natural leaders and go-getters. Their 2 counterparts are usually peacemakers and diplomats, as in the phrase, “I am second.” A 3 person is usually creative and good at connecting with others, while 4’s are pragmatic problem-solvers. If you have a 5 Life Path, you are a compassionate person determined to better the world. Those born under 6 tend to be domestic and make good parents, while 7 people are known for being investigative and quick minds. If you have an 8 as your life path, you are ambitious and must guard against being a workaholic. And those under 9 are known for their compassion and warmth.

Tarot And Astrology

click here for a free reading at PsychicAccess.comTarot card symbolism is rich with many layers of meaning. The card images are designed to awaken a reader’s intuition and psychic abilities. If used correctly, they can predict events and offer guidance in our spiritual and manifest worlds. Each card depicts situations we all have or will encounter in our lives at one time or another. But understanding the general meanings of each card is only one layer of understanding.

One of the most significant deeper layers of Tarot interpretation is the astrological meanings inherent in each card. Astrology helps us to understand many different things about a person’s psychological makeup and personality, as well as events and timing. Combined with the Tarot it becomes a powerful divination tool.

Introduction To The Chakras

click here for a free reading at PsychicAccess.comThe chakras are energy vortexes or wheels of energy located throughout the body. They inter-penetrate our subtle energy body and weave together with the layers of our auric field. The word chakra originates from ancient Sanskrit and it basically means ‘spinning wheel.’

There are seven main chakras and each are associated with one of the spectrum colors. Each chakra color is a natural etheric light that shine from within us, and I like to think of them as the colors of the rainbow. Each chakra regulates certain organs in the body, and also governs certain areas of our life.

Just like everything else that needs cleansing, like our houses and cars, our chakras also need clearing and purification, so they can spin and shine at optimal frequencies.

All Is Well Where There Is Gratitude

click here for a free reading at PsychicAccess.comI was sitting at camp this morning, thinking of all the things I had on my schedule for the day and the upcoming week. I had somehow overbooked myself, yet again. Not even four sips into my coffee… and I already felt some stress rise up in my chest.

At that moment I heard a little ‘purr-meow,’ as my cat Oscar looked at me quizzically. He always helps me to put life into perspective. We all need that honest friend who will tell us like it is, and get us refocused on what really matters. Oscar was sitting on his perch by the window. As he shifted his gaze to me, I could hear him say, “Why so stressed mama? We’re at camp and it’s a beautiful day out. All is well.”
