Is it true that the dearly departed can communicate with us through signs? Can you please give me a message of proof that my much loved friends, family or pets on the other side are okay?
These are some of the questions that psychic mediums receive when a caller longs for proof that the soul journey of their loved ones continues on the other side of the veil. From time to time callers also ask me if I believe in an afterlife. Well, I don’t just believe it exists – I know it does! My strong ‘knowing’ is due to my personal experiences, as well as my professional experiences delivering messages from spirit to others.
My husband is known to have quite the opposite viewpoint. He says, ”When you’re dead, you’re dead.’ I have wondered if he maybe states this as some kind of a self-protection device? Because he has also had his share of ‘other-worldly’ experiences, including a couple of eerie visitations from spirit.
What Heaven Is Really Like
Is there a Heaven? And if so, what is it like? You have probably thought about this at one time or another, as this is a concept found in many religions. Well, I can tell you only what I saw.
Although my time there was brief, I will never forget it. Imagine walking into a place that is the most beautiful that you have ever seen. That is what I experienced. The gardens were breathtaking. I have never seen flowers look the way they do there. And there was a sense of peace and happiness there that remains beyond words.
I had seen all of this when I had a near-death experience. It was just a glimpse, but I remember it as if it were yesterday. But it was not my time, for I had my life journey to continue, and with it the spiritual gifts that were given to me and which I will treasure for the rest of my life.
Trance, Transfiguration And Channeling
When an authentic psychic medium is doing a reading, they are entering into varying levels of trance, or altered states of consciousness, to access information from the Spirit realm. The Collins dictionary defines this as “a state of mind in which someone seems to be asleep and to have no conscious control over their thoughts or actions, but in which they can see and hear things and respond to commands given by other people.”
Each reader has their own process of making the connection and style of disseminating the information. Not only are psychic readers ‘seeing’ and ‘hearing’ things, and responding to commands from the Spirit side of life, but they are simultaneously also energetically connected with the client and walking between the two realms, namely that of the Spirit realm and the present moment.
For A Reason, A Season, Or A Lifetime?
I’m often asked in relationship psychic readings if a certain person is ‘The One.’ Is this the person whom my client is supposed to be with in this lifetime? This is such a common question and one that usually deserves a more elaborate answer for clarity.
People come in and out of our life for a myriad of reasons. Some of them are only there for a short period of time, while others remain for decades, or the rest of our life.
Have you ever felt like you keep meeting the same person over and over again, but in a different body? For example, a gentleman might call in for a reading about a woman who he’s been dating for a month. He wants to know why all of a sudden she has pulled away or is paying less attention to him, and then he goes on to say that he continues to meet this same kind of woman. They all seem very interested in him for a short time, and then all of a sudden they just disappear. Why does this keep happening to him? This is where the inquiry tends to come up of, “Will I ever meet the right woman?”
Power And Protection From Your Ancestors
I come from a long line of female herbalists of European origins on my mother’s side of the family. They were seers, healers, and prophets who combined their psychic gifts with ancient healing practices. Today, they still come to me during meditation, to offer wisdom.
The family’s mainly Germanic connection is one I’ve researched for many years, but more recently I discovered that my ancestors crossed into Scandinavian and Norse territories too, which suggests a bloodline of fierce women who were warriors of their time. It’s really not surprising to me, as even my own mother today, who is 84 years old, can still kick anyone’s butt who crosses her path in an unkind way! I always knew she was strong when I was little, and I always admired her power and independence.
The Joy Of Mediumship
People that know me call me the ‘Happy Medium,’ because I am usually very upbeat when I am bringing through their loved ones. I do feel always so happy to do readings and to share my gifts with those I read for. I love connecting with my clients loved ones on their behalf. It is always uplifting, because it confirms what I know to be true – there is an afterlife.
I got a call from one of my dear clients last week that told me that she was happy to connect with her mother, who came through in a reading after she did what I suggested she do before going to sleep. She was so happy that she told me she was going to do this every night, in order to try an connect also with other loved ones that have crossed over.

Communicating With Your Spirit Guides
Each of us has spirit guides that are with us from the moment we are born, right up until we take our final breath. Just as they are named, your spirit guides are here to help guide you through life. There are spirit guides who are with you for shorter periods of time to help assist you through certain situations, and of course, your closest spirit guides who will accompany you through your entire life.
What differentiates your guardian angels from spirit guides, is that your spirit guides, at some point in history, lived a physical incarnation on Earth and grew enough spiritually to earn the honor of title of being a spirit guide. They went through very similar issues while here in this world, compared to what you will experience in your own life. This is why they become your spirit guide, devoted specifically to you, and this is what makes the two of you the best team!
