A Black Bird Visits My In-Laws
A black bird is believed to be a good omen by some, while others see it as a sign of misfortune. My experience with a black bird sign proved to be both.
I was over at my in-laws’ house one day when we noticed this black bird trying to get into the room. I thought the bird might be injured the way it was acting. It kept hitting the window hard, trying to fly inside. I felt this must be some sort of omen, but decided not to share this notion with my in-laws.
At that moment I got a call on my phone from my ex-wife. Our son had fallen off his scooter and broke his arm. After the call, the black bird was still doing his thing, but eventually gave up and flew away. I thought then that this must be the news the black bird was bringing. Continue reading
Why Do You Prefer One Psychic Over Another?
I sometimes wonder how it happens that a specific client would decide to pick me to do a reading for them. I have discovered over the years that the reasons vary as much as people’s personalities and their unique circumstances.
The most common reason is that a client will just relate more easily with a certain psychic’s personality. Professional psychics also tend to feel a much stronger connection with some people than with others. The possibilities are endless, the same way we easily relate to some people, while we just do not get along with others.

Four Focus Points To Validate Connection
All psychics do not work in the same way when they do readings. I often receive validations for my connection with a client using four focus points.
The first is smells I receive through clairolfaction. The smell can be anything I pick up, from flowers or tobacco, to perfume, and even food. When I pick up such a smell, I know it is a way for my spirit guide to let me know that she is communicating to me from the client’s spirit guide. The smell is always somehow relevant to the particular client.
Many times, when I do a love reading for a female client, I pick up on a male scent. Regardless if it is aftershave or shower gel, it is a way for communication from my spirit guide to my client. It can be very difficult to heal from a broken heart. It is no accident that there are so many sad songs written about lost love, and so many stories in magazines and on talk shows about failed love relationships. During times of upheaval, sadness, psychic, or sensory overload the one thing that always brings me back to compassion and empathy is the connection between all living things.
I’m one of those who weeps at an Internet picture of a cat abandoned by society, just as much as I do for human victims of unspeakable things. None of us are any different when it comes right down to the basics. It’s what drove me to go through massage therapy school over ten years ago.
