The first person any of us learns to love is our self. And that’s how it should be, even if many of us forget how to do that somewhere along the way.
We live in a culture which is often harsh, judgmental, and narrow-minded, causing many of us to stop loving ourselves. Everyone has had a time when they felt “less than”, or imperfect. This becomes a snowball effect where we gradually put ourselves down all the time. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
How can we expect to show love for anyone else if we do not first love ourselves? So many of us think of love as an abstract “thing.” Love is not a thing; it’s an action. Have you ever met someone and felt a instant, deep connection to them? I had an inspirational moment recently when I was waiting at a traffic light. I had a fleeting impression that everyone around me was busy praying. Heads bowed in silent, solemn worship. Then I realized, they were all just looking down at their phones.
We’ve all heard the rumors about microchips being installed in people’s hands, arms or foreheads. We are already doing it with our pets. Taking the next step to humans is not all that far-fetched.

Oneness The Key To Heaven On Earth
It isn’t until we die that we totally grasp in a deeper way the full meaning of why we were here on this planet: to love unconditionally; to realize we are all a part of each other; that we are here to share our own unique gifts; and to express love in our own authentic way.
The best way to explain it is to visualize an eyedropper with a little drop of water. That drop of water represents you. You are added to the much greater, big ocean, and although you may seem separate you are in fact one with the ocean. You are a part of everything and everyone else in the universe.

Seeing The True Spiritual Essence In Others
In 2005, for what seemed like seven very long months from the time of his diagnosis, I nursed my father through pancreatic cancer. Even the hospice staff complained that he was a difficult man, so the challenges weren’t only my imagination.
We’d all hoped for a miracle, and although I don’t usually read for myself, I did do a reading when he was diagnosed and was shown that he had six to twelve months to live. My own reading confused me initially, but I have since learned the symbology of Tarot in relation to one’s mortality, when it literally shows that someone is being called home – home to spirit. Some people never evolve, but that is okay. Visualize them being away from you and being “great” somewhere else.
Some people think they are in kindergarten and, although they are adults now, they still play the game of “grapevine.” These people you can also wish away, to be “great” somewhere else.
