To Find Love… Just Stay In The Groove

My husband’s name is Ken and this year is our 50th wedding anniversary. Even after all this time, I still enjoy looking back to see how the Universal Force conspired to bring us together in this lifetime.

I was born on Canada’s East Coast and Ken is from the West Coast. We met each other smack in the middle, in the Province of Manitoba. There is an interesting tale attached to all of this. From the day my father and I first laid eyes on each other,  there was an intense dislike between us from the very beginning. This materialized into a combative position that lasted most of our lives. My father was a violent, sadistic and cruel man, however, luckily for me my siblings were some of the best the Universe had to offer, and this helped offset what we had to endure from him.

During my growing up years, our family ended up leaving the East Coast and we spent the rest of the time up until my teenage years living in Montreal. Things got progressively worse with my father, but as luck would have it some of my siblings were getting old enough to get married and leave, to establish a new home for themselves and their families. It was extremely fortunate for me that I was then able to live with some of them for indefinite periods of time.

When I was about 16 years old, the situation with my father got so extreme that we ended up reporting him to the police. As a result he went to jail for 18 months for sexually assaulting our little sister. I had gone back to live with my mother and remaining siblings, while my father was in jail, and when it came time for him to be released, my mother suggested that I  might have to leave the home. She was worried that the situation with my father and me would become too volatile for safety sake.

I deeply resented the fact that I was the one that was chosen to leave. I ended up going to Winnipeg, to live with my brother who was in the military. However, there really is a silver lining behind every cloud. During these years Ken was growing up in the West, but because his dad was also in the military it was quite common for his family to get posted to different destinations. His dad ultimately landed in Winnipeg, and they were living next door to my brother and his family!

I arrived at my brother’s home on May 28th, 1964 at 1:00pm in the afternoon and there he was… sitting on their front step. I always believed I would marry a man with blond hair and blue eyes. Ken does have blue eyes, but his hair was as red as could be. What can I say, the Universal Force had arranged all this on our behalf and we had no choice but to fall in live and spend the rest of this lifetime together.

Sometimes a client will ask me how he or she  will meet their chosen one. I think it is way more interesting to let all of that develop as it should in its own good time. My advice to you my friend is to relax, stay in the groove and allow the Universal Force to do what needs to be done to bring you together with the love of your life.
