Let Spirit Put Ego In Its Place
I recently had a conversation with a lovely, learned lady who was quite beside herself, because her husband of ten years simply got up and walked out on her… with no explanation whatsoever! She was understandably beside herself with shock and grief. I asked her what kind of relationship she felt they had and she assured me it was a very loving one. I find it almost impossible to believe that a loving, caring partner would all of a sudden just turn his back with all they had shared together and walk out the door, in what appeared to be a cold and callous man.
I then asked her why she felt they had such a good situation between them and she said it was because she loved him so much. She did all she could to keep him happy and satisfied. Well, now we were obviously getting somewhere. On further probing I found this man had been emotionally detached, and certainly oblivious to her needs. How can this, by any definition, be a warm and loving relationship?
Her ego most assuredly suffered a blow, but I do wonder where spirit was in all of this. It would make no sense to me if spirit accepted such a one-sided relationship that was completely devoid of any care or kindness.
My suspicion is that she had convinced herself that this ‘relationship’ had to maintain itself, or she would not be an ‘acceptable’ woman if she did not have a prominent male in her life, even under these trying conditions. Healing The Spirit
Imagine a vehicle created today that will not only be able to assess, from an inner guidance system, any damage done to it at a given time, but also have the wherewithal to be able to make all the appropriate repairs by itself. We would most likely be lined up in droves to witness this immaculate event, because more than likely we would not trust that this could be true. We would have to experience for ourselves if it truly possible.
Do you remember, as a little kid, falling and skinning your knee? What did you do at the time? Did you just have mom clean it off, allow a scab to cover it, which is your body’s natural way of saying, “Let me put this protective coating on to make sure there is no further damage.” And then all you had to do was just let your knee recover and heal by itself, with no further help from anyone or anything, because your body knows inherently what to do. The Year Of The Dog
As an aficionado of all things metaphysical, from auras to a zebra jasper crystal, I have always found Chinese Astrology particularly fascinating. I’ve read any and everything I could lay my hands on and ultimately, I believe, I have come up with my own fundamental basic understanding of it.
I’m a simple woman and as a writer I have found the simple approach is best. If you understand the animal, then you understand the Chinese astrological sign associated with it. You might say it is an easy key to understanding what may initially seem complicated.

Catching The Bogey Man
At a particular time in their life, some people may feel that they have not achieved much success in their career, romantic life, or health and well-being. And often these people accept it to be due to their own wrongdoing. But negative energy in our lives is not always of our own volition.
Granted, when applicable, we should admit that we sometimes might have been operating from a negative vibration, which aids the expansion of such feelings of doubt and a lack of confidence. But sometimes these negative energies in our lives are caused by dark and destructive spiritual forces.
There are unknown entities out there patiently waiting for the opportunity to take control of some unsuspecting soul, especially if you are experiencing trauma, chaos or indecision. One of the main reasons these entities find it so easy to take over and manipulate us in these opportune moments, is because we are feeling overwhelmed and vulnerable. My Psychic Family
Are psychic gifts passed on in certain families? In my family it would certainly appear so.
My maternal grandmother was married at the tender age of 14, had her first child at the age of 16, and just carried on from there. Her life was not a particular happy one. My grandfather worked a steady job with good pay, however he was a alcoholic, as well as a womanizer so money was not always prevalent in the home.
Although she was christened Flora Mae, she was always called ‘Mumma’ by everyone who knew her, because she was a mother figure to many beside her own family. As we grew to know and appreciate Mumma, we had a sense there was something unusual about her. Continue reading
Otherworldly Contact
My husband, daughter and I have been personally involved in removing harmful spirit entities and negative energy forces from people’s homes and businesses. Although some of these had been as terrifying as you could possibly imagine, there always was an element of excitement attached to it from our perspective. Luckily for us, we were maybe too foolhardy or arrogant at the time to comprehend the real dangers involved.
We sometimes had such a vast supply of puzzles and paradoxes to solve, that we thought at one time we may have reached our limit. Fortunately, not all spirit entities are dangerous. Some are completely benign and have seem to derive an inordinate amount of pleasure from sharing a co-existence with their human counterparts. We once even found two spirits residing in the same home for many years, with no idea of each other’s existence, and they did not seem to care. Continue reading
Finding Serenity
What is spiritual serenity, and how does one get to such an enlightened place? I’ve put forth this question many times throughout my life, and I’ve also had it asked of me. People hear what I do for a living and they immediately assume I walk around chanting Buddhist chants, or waving sage throughout my sacred space 24 hours a day. If only!
I don’t have the answers any more than the next person does. There are some things I have learned and seen, as I am sure I have yet more to learn and see. It is an endless cycle of not knowing and then knowing, the same cycle we all go through. The same lessons. It is only in how we apply them that we become different. We grow differently and start to use parts of ourselves that perhaps someone else, who is growing ‘at their own pace’ may not be using yet. And that is okay. Continue reading
