We Are All Worthy Of Forgiveness
Sometimes my brokenhearted clients ask when the person they love will also hurt the way they have been hurt by them. They have been wounded, sometimes very deeply, and they so desperately want to know that the one who hurt them will also suffer in the end. Preferably, a lot!
They desire retribution for all the pain, suffering and deceit they have suffered due this person. There has to be some kind of justice. Isn’t there some form of karma, they will ask pleadingly.
Some spiritual teachings and belief systems suggest that our most emotionally challenging experiences in this lifetime occur as a result of life lessons we have agreed upon with other souls, before being born into this particular lifetime. This concept is known as our life plan, soul agreement or soul contract, among other.
These challenges can present themselves as blockages and patterns, that we aspire to finally recognize on a soul level and then to rise above – too often after repeating the same lessons many times over during this lifetime and others.
Yes, it makes sense to me that there is a profound lesson in harsh, life-changing experiences, but it’s not so easy to see it that way, and to believe it could be something we would have agreed to, especially when we hurt so badly now.
My Favorite Psychic Movies
Due to the nature of my work, I obviously love watching movies about psychics and the paranormal. Although there aren’t a lot of really good psychic movies out there, I do have a few firm favorites. Next time you are looking for an inspiring movie about psychic phenomena or the supernatural, see if you can find one of the following psychic classics on your favorite streaming service.
The Dead Zone (1983)
Based on a Stephen King novel, this movie follows the life of a school teacher who awakens with psychic powers, after falling into a coma. The film stars Christopher Walken as a reluctant psychic, who hesitates to use his powers, which I think is common for many psychics when we first discover our abilities. Once he finally decides to use his gifts, amazing things start to happen!
Ghost (1990)
Many people are familiar with this film. It was one of the most financially successful films of the 90’s. Personally, I love it so much that I could just watch it over and over again! The all-star cast features Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg as a highly eccentric psychic. Romantic, funny and uplifting, this is one of my favorite movies about a reluctant psychic medium who is able to connect with spirit on the Other Side.
Purple Love From The Other Side
Recently, I was in my kitchen cooking, when the song Purple Rain, by Prince, kept playing in my head. It was stuck in my mind, loud and clear, the verses of the song, over and over again throughout the day. I didn’t think much of it at the time, other than I must have recently heard the song playing somewhere.
The next morning while I was meditating, I was shown a shape by Spirit. At first I couldn’t make out what it was, but then the vision became more clear. I sensed it must had to be the shape of a state in the United States, but I was not sure which one. After my meditation, I searched for the sate on the map and discovered it was Minnesota.
Later that day, I once again kept hearing a Prince song in my head. This time it was Paisley Park. That night I had a dream about an oddly shaped electric guitar, which I didn’t understand. I also heard the name “Roger.”
Every day, for a whole week, I was receiving these clues, like a puzzle to solve. Each one somehow related back the musical artist Prince.
That night my daughter sent ‘coincidentally’ sent me the link to a YouTube video of Prince performing Purple Rain. She just said it was one of her favorites and wanted to share it with me. It was uncanny, because I hadn’t told her a thing about what had been happening with me lately.
I have to admit, until the time of these events, I knew very little about Prince’s music, and absolutely nothing about his personal life. I used to hear his songs being played on the radio in the 80s and 90s, and I did enjoy them, but I never knew much about him as a person and an artist. Continue reading
Our Loved Ones Are Always With Us
Several months ago, I found myself traveling near the city in which my grandparents bodies were laid to rest. I decided to drive the few extra miles out of my way, to visit their gravesite.
Pulling up to the cemetery, I realized I hadn’t been there in so long that I couldn’t remember where the grave was. Finally, I located it. I grabbed a folding chair from the back of my car and sat down under a tree close to their tombstone.
Immediately my awareness was overflowing with the presence of their voices. I could hear both of them talking to me, just like when I would go to visit them during the school holidays. It felt like they were alive again, and right there with me. I was literally hearing grandma talking to me. Just the way she did in life. It as if she was right there! I could hear my grandpa as well. It was very comforting.
They were very pleased that I took the time to come visit them. They are very much together now and happy in their new existence, after they had been separated between this life and the next for well over 15 years.
They are still with us, just in a different dimension. If you listen carefully, you may just hear them talking to you. Our loved ones, who have crossed over, continue to be with us. They love it when we take the time to communicate with them, or honor them time in some way. It shows that we love them, and still value and appreciate them.
From Believing To Knowing
“I wish I believed in the spirit world like you do,” my best friend commented many years ago. I then told her that it wasn’t so much a case of believing, but more of a matter of knowing.
Last week, a new friend asked me to teach him how to have this ‘knowing’ that I have. But I really have no idea how to do that? I never experienced a transition from believing to knowing. The ‘knowing’ has always just been there.
I have always felt that the spirit realm is our true connection to home. As the years passed, I began more and more to view planet Earth as our schoolroom. And boy can we get some lessons while we are here!
When I think back, I have recollections of spirit activity around me from when I was about five or six years old. My parents and I were living in Ottawa, Canada, at the time, where my dad had recently been employed. We were temporarily living in a creepy rental home, until my father found his feet and we would be able to move to a house with better vibes.
I recall seeing and hearing shadow beings in the hallway of that eerie house in Ottawa, and I remember telling my mother about the paranormal activity I sensed there. But she thought I was just imagining things, or seeking attention. I also recall lying in bed, scared, listening to what sounded like chattering voices. The energy in that old place wasn’t malevolent, but it didn’t feel benevolent either.
The most profound experience occurred when I was just nine years old. We had moved back to the United Kingdom and were visiting family friends. They were hosting a party, and the kids were sent off to bed, while the adults carried on with their social event below.

Remember that defining moment recently, when the novel coronavirus finally made its way into your everyday reality? Your spiritual well-being and metaphysical beliefs were probably the last things on your mind. In fact, the spiritual meaning of this pandemic will not be a major consideration for most at this time. But in the dark, difficult days that still lie ahead, the Covid-19 pandemic will increasingly reveal its profound spiritual truths. And in its devastating aftermath, we will have no choice but to acknowledge and embrace its spiritual significance in our post-pandemic reality.
When Covid-19 was officially declared a global pandemic, and made its unwelcome way into international news headlines, many people reverted to the ‘first law of nature.’ They responded instinctively with their best personal strategies for self-preservation.
Some hysterically stockpiled a lifetime supply of hand sanitizer and toilet paper, while others stubbornly gathered en masse at street festivals, religious gatherings, and even at their nearest beach, despite medical experts and authorities advising against it. Many simply carried on with life ‘as normal’, until they could no longer ignore the writing on the wall.
