Your Child Deserves To Be Creative
Part of spiritual parenting is understanding your child’s generation. This is not “The Wonder Years”. The harsh reality is that even if you are protecting your child’s innocence, chances are their friend’s parents aren’t. These days we do need to ask the parents of our child’s friend if there is unsupervised time on the computer, and is there potential access to pornography, or even guns in the home. We need to go online and see if there are any predators in that home, or in the neighborhood. We need to know that there aren’t any drugs or alcohol in the home.
I have been working with children for 30 years and times have certainly changed. Today’s generation of parents cannot afford to be distracted, detached and oblivious. Modern parents text and talk on the phone more than they look at or communicate with their own children. I often hear people talk about how this generation of children seem tuned out, detached and lack imagination and creativity, but how can we ask them to tune in when their parents are not? Is Your Texting Pushing Men Away ?
A client recently called me about a new and promising relationship. She has a long history of dating men who show the promise of a potential long-term relationship, who then suddenly disappear or unexpectedly break up with her after few months.
It was immediately apparent to me that texting played a detrimental role in her dating woes. Misunderstandings due to texting have ruined the romantic, family and friendship relationships of many people I have worked with. This client was no different. Reading her energy I instantly perceived that she tends to push men away by panicking unnecessarily. Men can smell panic and it is a total turn off. It’s also stressful and will not change the outcome of a situation for the better. Excessive obsession, panic and worry will not bring someone closer to you. Ways To Improve Your Memory
I have been teaching memory classes for 15 years based on my practice of Yoga. There are many yogic techniques that can help improve and protect our memory.
The most powerful tool for memory is the spine. There is a spinal fluid that runs up the spine and feeds the brain. It brings oxygen, blood and nutrients to the brain. When the spine becomes restricted and tight, and is not properly stretched, worked and used, it restricts the flow of these nutrients to the brain. This causes memory loss.
I believe this is why many people who have had back injuries report to me that they also have noticed problems with their focus, concentration and memory. This is also why people who practice Yoga claim to have improved their focus, concentration and memory. The movement and strengthening of the spine is emphasized in Yoga. I also believe the movement in Yoga stimulates the Kundalini energy that moves up the spine, and that also improves memory. Continue reading

The Haunted Pickup Truck
After a difficult divorce in 1999, I lost my pick-up truck in the settlement. I needed new, affordable transportation. Fortunately my stepbrother knew this guy that had an old Dodge for sale at a really good price. But when I saw it, I had a bad feeling about this car.
I was however very desperate to get a car, so after taking it for a test drive, I convinced myself it was only my imagination that something was wrong. So pretty soon I was driving my new car on Route 270 heading home. Then the paranormal activity started. Driving along slowly, the material from the ceiling of the car came detached. My son Raymond was in the back seat, and he looked at me with big eyes and said, “Dad, why is that man pulling the stuff off the ceiling?” Continue reading
Afterlife Signs From The Dearly Departed
When someone close to us passes on they often give us signs to let us know that they are still around. Our loved ones are very eager to let us know that everything is fine with them when they cross over.
Those who have passed on still know what goes on in our daily lives and they still love us. They want us to know that. Not all of us can always sense them around us, that doesn’t mean they will not give us a sign.
These signs from the other side come in different ways, shapes and forms:
Animals & Insects
Loved ones often come to us in the form of an animal or other creature, from a butterflies and puppies to birds and wild animals. These animals might show up from nowhere, cross our path, call to us from outside, fly into a room, or even land on us! Do you sometimes feel disconnected? Is the world you live in too much to handle some days? Do you have a billion things running through your mind?
