Stay Away From Those ‘Basket Thieves’
Your hopes, your dreams, your wishes and aspirations, all of your visions for your life are stacked together in your own little basket of hope. I have one. So does my neighbor, and my best friend too. Be it in our minds, or on paper, we all have that little basket of hope. Or one could even go so far as to call it a “bucket list”. I call it my “basket of hope”. Same difference.
Recently I had the misfortune of coming across a “basket thief” – kind of like a horse whisperer or a dog whisperer, except not nearly the positive experience either one of the above can bring. A basket thief doesn’t come to you to whisper in your ear about your hopes and your dreams. They don’t even really care about your hopes and dreams. What they do care about is you putting aside said hopes and dreams in order to help them achieve theirs. Continue reading
Connecting To Your Higher Self
Frequently in my readings these days, I feel my clients are fragmented; rather like jigsaw characters. I describe this as being ‘disconnected from the source of their being’. This is a common occurrence lately, as we find ourselves tugged in different directions, striving to multitask, whilst juggling our time and resources. Where did the balance of work, rest, play and sleep go?
We find it hard to accept delays and yet, there are times when we need to be still. Frustration or impatience doesn’t help our desired changes to unfold. That situation we are hoping for, or that person we really want to meet, may not be ready for us just yet. Continue reading

How many thoughts do we have per day? Nobody seems to know for sure and the experts don’t agree, but they all seem to concur that it is ranges somewhere in the thousands. We also have many daydreams and fantasies that cross our minds on a daily basis.
Many of these thoughts and daydreams we would never share with our mates, friends, or family. Many of us never act on our fantasies, for various obvious reasons: we want to stay married, or we want to stay in the same job, or we fear failure should we attempt something new and different. Is it possible for two people, who have been best friends for years, to fall in love? Can there be such a special bond or psychic connection between acquaintances? And after all the years of being best friends, do they have what it takes to ultimately experience the magic of love?

You Need Some Pop-up Preparedness
Life happens, therefore pop-ups happen to. What is a ‘pop up’? Well, a pop-up is something unforeseen that occurs to put a snare or trip you up in a negative way. It is a term I have invented for lack of a better one. I feel it’s a gentler way of describing those negative things that tend to pop-up during the course of our life that set us back in some way.
A family may have planned a very special time together, for example, and they had looked forward to it and patiently awaited that very enjoyable event. Then the phone rings and one of the parents has to go and tend to a new priority, and the child is left wondering what happened.
Well, what do we do in today’s world, where we live by the cell phones and social networking websites, and our friends’ and other people’s needs and desires, while putting those that we are supposed to treasure the most and love the most on the ‘back burner’. Saturn’s Call To Action
Saturn – a planet of structure, rules, responsibilities and change – has gone retrograde until June 2012. For people that don’t like rules and responsibility, it is not a good time. Come June, should they not have taken care of proverbial business, they will be even more unhappy. But if they take this time to do what needs to be done, to put their back into it, they can see truly amazing results.
The planet Saturn was named after Cronos, a Greco-Roman God, the father of Zeus and the Ruler of Time itself.
There is also an astrological aspect known as Saturn return. It usually hits your chart anywhere from age 28 to 32 years of age. The more you fight the aspects of it, the worse it will be for you. If Only We Had Some Patience In A Bottle
What is one of the most valuable commodities that anyone can possess in this day and age? What is the one precious thing we all seem to lack?
I believe that, given the opportunity, some of us would even trade all of our earthly possessions for a lifelong supply of this magical substance. It is the one thing that can secure us so much happiness, inner peace and long-term fulfillment.
Have you guessed what this ‘eighth wonder of the world’ is? Well, it is the virtue of patience, of course!
The Dutch say that “a handful of patience is worth more than a bushel of brains”. There is no doubt in my mind that should some genius be able to develop a magical formula to capture patience in a bottle, that person would overnight become the wealthiest and most famous person on the planet!
