Mediumship is the term used for spirit communication and is distinctly related to connecting to the spiritual essence of loved ones that have passed on. Throughout history, this label has been relegated to specific individuals called mediums, and the primary source of messages come through channeling or other experiences. However, the practice of mediumship can also be an individual or private practice.
Spirit is the transcendent force that unites all things, and it is this interconnected nature that allows us to connect with God, angels, spirit guides, and even loved ones that have transitioned into the realm beyond. It is through this innate connection that authentic psychic mediums gather information and channel it for their clients. No Message From The Other Side?
Why don’t I receive any contact from my loved one on the other side? This is a frequently asked question which often comes my way. I don’t always have an answer, but often the truth is that the questioner is either anxious, or wanting it so much that they are blocking the reason for their question.
Sometimes people will say they’ve begged the deceased to give them evidence of their survival, and to just let them know that they are happy and healed from any emotional or physical trauma they knew on this side of the veil. At times, the messages from their loved ones, given to the messenger such as myself, are undeniable proof of their existence after death. Mediumship Is Not A Psychic Sideshow
Mediumship presented as entertainment is a double-edged sword. The media hype generated by psychic television shows, and live stage performances featuring celebrity mediums, has no doubt contributed much to an increased public awareness of mediumship. It has liberated spiritualism from the stereotype of the 19th century séance by bringing the work of the psychic medium into the public domain, and into mainstream pop culture.
But does mediumship as an entertainment genre do spiritualism and the daily work of psychics any real justice? I am certainly not a purist. Neither am I a traditionalist when it comes to spiritual matters. I tend to shy away from any form of fundamentalism or fanaticism. But having the work of talented mediums dished up as trivial amusement has certainly proven to be a mixed blessing in my own practice as psychic medium. Continue reading
Her Husband Returned To Say ‘I Love You’
When someone we love dearly suddenly passes from an accident, or in some way they are taken too soon, they often return to say goodbye. They come back to tell us they love us one last time, before they go on to do whatever it is our souls do on the other side.
We are apparently given time to visit those we were not given the opportunity to say whatever we wished to before we cross over. I have found these afterlife visitations to be true through my own personal experiences, as well as that of friends, family and clients. One of my clients, a very sweet mother of two children, lost her husband suddenly in a motorcycle accident. She was never able to say that she loved him that day, before he left for work. The Nature Of Spirit
When getting a reading you may hear a psychic use the term “Spirit” during the reading. But what is Spirit? Spirit is another way of saying “God” or “the Divine.”
In my personal experience Spirit is the in-dwelling essence from which all things come. Spirit is the life force that dwells within us and in all living things, and represents each individual’s highest path and potential.
So how do we connect with “Spirit”? The concept or idea of Spirit is found within many spiritual traditions. It is the reason why individuals to this day practice specific religions in hopes that they too can align themselves with the higher power or Spirit. Continue reading
The Misunderstood Ouija Board
The most misunderstood item in the diviner’s toolbox is probably the Ouija board. Since its invention the debate continues to this day whether this famous item is merely a game, a glimpse into our subconscious, a gateway into the spirit realms, or even an “instrument of evil.”
Like any channeling object or psychic tool, the Ouija board must be used with great care and respect. Its origins go back to the late 19th century and the practice of spiritualism, or séances to connect with loved ones who had passed on. Its design is simple: a flat board with letters and numbers, plus basic words like “yes” and “no,” but its usage is much more complex. Continue reading
A Message From A Dog To His Human
The following is a transcript of a reading I had the honor to recently channel for a client whose dog had passed:
“He wants you to know he is with you still. Imagine his arms made of Light lifting you up, and letting you know he is floating in a wonderful place and totally pain free.
He wants you to know that he is part of the energy of the Light beings. In the same way that your finger is an aspect of your body, but he is not your entire body, he is an aspect of the angels, although not entirely an angel on his own.
He was not always a dog, and is not a dog now. He came back as a dog this time around because there are certain lessons we have to learn on our Journeys, and it just so happened that the lessons he had to learn this time could best be learned not only in dog form, but with none other than you.
