The Divine Grace Of A Soulmate Connection
It is a myth that everyone is supposed to meet a ‘soulmate’ in this lifetime. Don’t get me wrong, soulmate connections do exist, but this phenomenon is quite rare. It is a singular spiritual anomaly that is certainly not predestined for most of us.
In a world where intimate relationships have become extremely challenging to navigate, the search for the ever-elusive soulmate has become a contemporary obsession. We have co-created a modern society where detachment, loneliness and disconnection reigns supreme, despite our easy access to social media and communication technology. Against this background, the manic hunt for the ‘love of our life’ has become one of our generation’s most profoundly tragic acts of free will.

Romancing The Zodiac
For many years I wrote a weekly horoscope for a local newspaper. It was a fun and funky paper with a demographic core group of loyal readers aged 23 to 33, and a 70% female to 30% male readership.
The editor asked me what type of horoscope I thought the newspaper needed, given that the male readership ratio was so much smaller compared to that of women. I told her that we needed to do a horoscope for males and females of each sign. We needed to break down the walls between men and women, because the newspaper’s advice column seemed to suggest neither sex had a clue about what was going on in the others’ head.
My plan was to write the horoscopes combining elements of Astrology and Numerology, but the meat and potatoes, the predictions within each horoscope itself, would come from me using a different Tarot deck each week. I did an overview for the week ahead, one for males and one for females, in which lot of the astrological elements were taken into account. My Daughter’s New Life Beyond This One
Recently our 48 year old daughter passed away*. Those of you who have experienced the death of a child will understand the depth of the grief and sorrow that parents are left with. All we can hope for now is that the sense of loss will eventually not be so deep and profound.
The physical cause of her death was the effects of her cancer treatments, however, the soul cause of her passing was because she could no longer sustain any kind of happiness in this existence.
Kathy was beautiful, highly intelligent and possessed a remarkable sharp wit. Yet, from a very young age she also appeared aloof and reserved. Curiously, she was often judged, and sometimes quite harshly, because of this particular quirk. Why anyone would choose to be offended by this trait is still a mystery to me. Those like her, with an extremely sensitive soul, will inherently create an environment for themselves simply to protect that fragile being from harm. Many times I will do a reading for someone who wants to know if their mate is cheating on them. Sadly, more times than not lately, I find that my clients suspicions are accurate, in some way, shape or form. But what constitutes “cheating.” There are all types of cheating and to some people one form of cheating may not be considered cheating at all.
One form of cheating is you’re dating someone and you are considered an established couple, but that person is also seeing others behind your back. Why do they cheat? Some feel it’s because they don’t really love their boyfriend or girlfriend, while some say they do it to see if the one they are with is really the one they want to be with. Time Apart Is Healthy For Your Relationship
Have you noticed that your relationships with partner, friends and even family members are much better when you see them less often? There is real wisdom in the saying “absence makes the heart grow fonder.”
When we are around the same person for a very long time, they tend to eventually bore, frustrate, or annoy us. Time away is vital. We all need space to recharge our batteries and newly appreciate the people in our lives.

It’s All In The Numbers
I am not a numerologist, however, like Astrology, Feng Shui, Palm Reading and other metaphysical modalities, I have studied Numerology. I have always been fascinated with the role numbers have played in my life.
My numbers, based on my birth date, are 6, 11 and 24. My post office box number in the small town I grew up in was 303 (3+3+0=6). The only other time I lived in a small town and also could only get a post office box, the number of that box also added up to 11. The number of the apartment I grew up in was 11. My phone number and that of my best friend’s was almost identical. She is still my best friend today.
My three best friends from high school were all born on the 19th of a month. So was my first boyfriend. I was the odd ball and the maternal figure of the group and was born on the 24th. My best friend’s two oldest children gave birth to their children on the same days that one of their best friend’s from high school passed. Continue reading
