Peace Is To Be Found Right Here
Sunday being my day off from my daily job, I finally decided to spend a few hours at the lake. Born and raised on an island, water has always brought me peace and clarity. It is small lake, about 15 minutes from my house. Unfortunately, it being a Sunday, was not the ideal time to seek peace here.
It was a really nice dry sunny day, which brought many people to the water on the same mission. The park was too crowded to find any inner peace. So, I left after an hour and decided to make my own lake! I had an old tub sitting in my back yard awaiting a new lease of life. After a strong deep scrub and rinse, I filled it with cold water and sat there on the rim, with my legs immersed in the healing water. Continue reading
More Than We Can Imagine
I often set an intention before I got to sleep of what I want to do during my astral travels. This could be to visit another universe, or a deceased loved one, or to spend time in the sanctuary that I created in my mind’s eye for me to rest and recharge. I do this just before I fall asleep and transfer to the spirit realm. I have shared in previous blogs how you can do this yourself.
I enjoy visitations with my Grandpa during these astral dreams. When I want to visit with my Grandpa, I simply imagine myself walking through a well-worn path to a mechanical lift. I step into the lift and rise with it to the top of a very tall hill. Here there is a portal that I enter that leads to my sanctuary or my “happy place.” From here I may continue the journey further, or I will remain there and enjoy astral encounters with others. Effective Visualization Strategies
Visualization can be a wonderful tool for increasing the effectiveness we have in our daily lives. It allows us to align our intentions and emotions with what we desire, and keeps us focused on our goals. However, there is definitely some pitfalls to this particular practice.
Working in the metaphysical traditions, I have noticed that sometimes individuals mistake visualization for fantasy. Fantasy is not innately bad; for instance fantasy in the context of fiction it allows healthy down-time from our everyday lives. Lucid Dreaming – Create Your Own Adventures
Almost all of us have experienced a dream that seemed exceedingly real. These dreams can be so vivid that when we awaken we sometimes question whether it had actually happened, or not? Maybe you won the lottery in your dream, or met a favorite celebrity. These dreams can be so pleasing that we immediately wish we can repeat the experience. The truth is, we can!
As with any form of meditation or creative visualization, it takes practice and dedication to do dream work and experience lucid dreams. The most important thing to do, as we take this journey, is to keep a dream diary. Keep it by your bedside and record everything you can when you wake up from a dream. Because our most vivid dreams tend to take place before waking, we tend to remember the most at this time. Every detail is important, especially if you hope to repeat the dream later! Become More Aware Of Your Dreams
One thing that almost every one of us has in common is our dreams. Even if we don’t remember them the next morning, we dream each and every night.
But what do they all mean? Dreams are a way for the subconscious or psychic part of ourselves to work out our problems.
Many of our dreams feature larger-than-life or fantastical images that couldn’t possibly exist in the real world. That’s because they are symbols. Many have written on the subject of symbolism, from the ancient Egyptians to modern psychologist Carl Jung. Just as no two people are alike, nor are their dreams.
You may often ask yourself how to interpret your confusing or murky dreamscape. The first and best way is to keep a dream journal. It’s preferable to have it by your bedside, so you can write it down once you wake up. As you start doing this, you will notice patterns emerging. If you meditate during your waking hours, these recurring images will no doubt appear there as well.
