When Your Child Is Your Spiritual Coach
Coming from a family who never communicated their personal feelings, I learned a lot about the importance of communication between age groups in my early teens, when I was sent to live with a Dutch family with three children for several months.
I always admired their closeness, but it wasn’t until I actually moved in with them, that I realized just how far their caring and sharing went towards feeling part of such a close knit family. They prayed together too, and included me, always asking for healing for my mother who was having treatment at the time for her ‘nervous condition.’
In later years, as a recovering alcoholic in Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), I would often hear the expression, “A family that prays together, stays together.” I am sure this family has stayed close all these years, even though we have lost touch. Continue reading
Dream Postcards From The Other Side
Recently, I had the most intense dreams and they were connected to a friend of mine who lives five thousand miles away across the globe. The dreams were random. I hadn’t been thinking of her prior to going to sleep, nor of her deceased loved ones, whom I had never met, or had only met a couple of times.
I once read an article that suggested such dreams are ‘asking for something’ and that there is a request in there somewhere for the dreamer to do something, or deliver something.
Quite frankly, I have passed on a few spirit messages to this particular friend over the years, and I always seem to do so with a little trepidation. Although it was never said, I always felt she possibly thought of me as being odd… and not very bright. The current holiday celebrations, extensive to-do-lists and family gatherings is usually a hectic time of the year for many. But this year we can expect it to be even worse.

My Psychic Family
Are psychic gifts passed on in certain families? In my family it would certainly appear so.
My maternal grandmother was married at the tender age of 14, had her first child at the age of 16, and just carried on from there. Her life was not a particular happy one. My grandfather worked a steady job with good pay, however he was a alcoholic, as well as a womanizer so money was not always prevalent in the home.
Although she was christened Flora Mae, she was always called ‘Mumma’ by everyone who knew her, because she was a mother figure to many beside her own family. As we grew to know and appreciate Mumma, we had a sense there was something unusual about her. Continue reading
It’s Called Self-Respect
Energy protection is one of my passions. I take it very seriously. It is vital for our health and mental well-being, so we take the time to do things that will help promote our energy, health, happiness and mental clarity, right? Why then do we still find our energies being drained sometimes? Often times we don’t even realize who, or what is causing this drainage.
My grandma’s fingers are so badly crippled that she cannot text, so she asked me to do her a favor and just send a message to someone on her behalf. I knew in my heart that if I did send this for her, it would be an opportunity for the receiver to throw negativity my way, or rather attempt to. So, I kept putting it off, but she kept begging me. A Sign From Spirit On Laundry Day
Whenever I do laundry, I tend to think of my grandma, especially when I take out the clothes and un-wrinkle each item, before tossing it into the dryer. I then think of something she said back when I was a young girl. She said it is like a gift to do laundry, as it gives you time to relax and meditate.
She was a wise woman. Sometimes when we are doing mindless things it can be the perfect time to just think! Doing the laundry, I often think of things, deeply. And sometimes I actually receive the answers to questions I have had in the back of my mind for quite some time. Continue reading
A Heavenly Tea Party
A client I read for on a regular basis, called me the other day about a dearly departed relative. Her grandmother crossed over to the spirit realm recently, and she was hoping to connect with her in a mediumship session. She and her grandma made a promise to one another that they would attempt to connect after her passing.
About a year ago she had told me her grandma was going to be entering a hospice center. I had told her then to spend as much time as she could with her granny, and fortunately she did. She would bring granny some of her favorite things and would read to her. She loved this, since her vision had declined a lot in recent years and she could no longer read for herself. Continue reading
