As a Tarot reader through many seasons, I have seen for myself where interpretation, listening to instinct and understanding the true meaning behind the cards makes for a better and more rounded reading. But perhaps the Tarot in and of itself will want to play tricks on you. This too I have seen many times!
People tend to misunderstand the Tarot, its meaning, and more importantly, its true purpose. It was never intended as a fortune telling tool per se. It can only be through careful study and a willingness to open one’s mind and heart, that reading the Tarot can be truly successfully mastered. Yes, even to the point of predicting time frames – something clients love, of course, but which can be very tricky to predict. Mixed Birth Patterns And Multiple Influences
Most people know their Astrological sign, or Sun sign. Most also know their birth order in the family: oldest, middle child, or youngest. And a few people may even know their Numerological life number, which is the sum of the digits in one’s birth date and determines the major themes of an individual’s life. But what many people don’t know is that these influences must be taken into account as a whole!
Each of these aspects tell a unique story, since no two individuals are alike. The Ancient Art Of Possum Bone Casting
I have spent some time exploring ancient forms of divination. It made me realize one can use just about anything, from bones to rocks, or even animal intestines – anything that may be handy at the time.
A few years back a friend of mine moved from Maine to New Orleans. We are connected on Facebook, so I decided to contact her to see how she liked living in New Orleans, and what she was doing for work. Much to my surprise she said, “I’m doing bone readings in the French Quarter of the city.” Well, that certainly peaked my interest.
I have since began studying the art of bone casting. As with anything, I found lots of ideas and several different opinions on the matter. Using my own intuition, I settled on learning to read possum bones. They are said to be the real deal, but I have never seen a possum in the state of Maine (even though I’m sure possum is here.) Being Spirit’s Messenger
A friend named Laura lost her husband to terminal illness just a few weeks ago. I have known this friend for over three decades, and our friendship has been one of touching base every now and again, mainly on birthdays and anniversaries. She did let me know, however when Bill had passed.
The last time I saw Bill was about 15 years ago, when he came to me for divination – throwing the bones. Our connection wasn’t such a strong one that I would expect him to be present in my dreams within just four days of his passing. But he was there, in three of my dreams, one after the other. I gave those dreams very little attention, so the memory of them was vague by the following day.
My friend Laura has always been somewhat skeptical, even afraid of ‘the other side.’ When I had the fourth dream, still, within only a few days of Bill’s passing, I noted every detail and told her what had happened, and asked how she would feel if I shared what I felt was a message for her. Ever felt a reassuring hand on your shoulder, heard your name whispered, or experienced a deep sense of love and warmth, only to turn around and see no one? That’s unmistakably the sign that an angel is nearby. Our protective angels let us know they are there… if we take the time to look.
Our angelic guardians, who see all the things we do not, want us to notice the beauty around us! Take a moment away from work, put away the electronic devices, and really observe…there is so much you probably never saw before.
One of the first and most obvious places to look is the skies. Clouds, to be specific. Finding shapes like wings, hearts, or halos in the otherwise random cloud formations is a sure sign of angelic presence. Animal shapes might appear too – some angels walk on four legs! Continue reading
