It’s Lucky I’m So Tough
In the area where we live the government has a program called Homeshare. What that means is people like my husband and myself will take in an individual with some type of disability. We are paid to have them come and live with us as part of our family. After our daughter passed away, we thought we might enrich our lives and help with our grieving by helping out someone else. We did not want to look after children or someone with extreme difficulties, as we are seniors and felt someone of that nature would prove to be too much of a burden for us. Continue reading
Grounded In Spirit When Caring For Elderly Parents
I have a friend that is going through the challenging process of watching her aging mom dwindle away. Her mother is losing her memory and the ability to take care of herself the way she used to. So, I try to help when I can. For most of us it’s an issue that we will all most likely face one day.
The spiritual connection to our parents is often a relationship with a history that is very complex. Not everyone has a wonderful, loving relationship with their parents, right? Those of us who do, should never take it for granted. We are truly blessed. Continue reading
Love Many, Trust Few
There are few people you can trust to tell your innermost secrets. Be careful who you choose as your close companions. I have many clients who have trusted people they thought were able to keep a secret or just be discreet as a friend. When you share your problems and concerns randomly with those that you might deem “confidants”, they sometimes will let down, or give you bad advice.
I have personally learned through experience to not share sensitive personal information with just anyone. Trust me, you will save yourself a bunch of grief in the long run. But that does not mean we should never talk or open up to anyone. Sometimes silence can be our worst enemy. There are times in life when we have to reach out and talk to someone! The key is to choose wisely who you confide in. We must all learn the fine art of loving many, but trusting few. That is the way to go. Continue reading
Wear Your Psychic Protection Daily
I have been getting a lot of calls lately from clients feeling drained by people around them. These energy vampires can be found in their working environment, and among friends or family. In turn, what affects them energetically, also affects their pets.
Only yesterday, I was driving one of our local veterinarians back to her practice in town. I had brought her out to our place in the country to check our latest rescue dog; he is still too nervous to get into the car. She then started telling me, with no prompting from me, how her customers are draining her. She feels that her animal patients are profoundly affected by their owners’ moods. The vet said she takes a few days off intermittently to recharge her batteries – not from the work she loves, but from the pet owners! Continue reading
Drama, Chaos, Anger, Oh My!
I have known too many friends, relatives, family members and clients who have suffered needlessly because of disease (dis-ease) and many different health ailments, all because they couldn’t get away from negative people and situations. I have read for numerous clients that have called asking about relationships only to have the reading turn into a health reading for themselves, and my clients being completely freaked out that I could tell they were having the issues they were having without them even mentioning it to me.
I can tell right away by the sound of their voice the energy around them, as I can close my eyes and see their aura even from a distance on the phone. I can tell if there is someone around them emanating angry, negative tension which seems to cause a lot of health issues – from thyroid disorders to acid imbalances in the body. I want you to know that you don’t have to stay in unhealthy relationships, or be around psychic vampires and toxic people that are not good for your health. Continue reading
The True Nature Of Forgiveness
What I have received from Spirit and my mentors about the nature of forgiveness is that it is first of all not about allowing bad behavior in others to continue. This is the most important thing to remember when we are ready to venture into our inner forgiveness journey.
If someone is continually wounding us through their actions or words, it is important to understand that the most loving thing we can do for ourselves and for the other person is to let them go. This may be a scary thing for some people, but to really release our pain we must release the source of the pain. Some situations are reconcilable through an honest reflection of the situation by both parties. However if this is not working, then lovingly releasing that person from your life will not only keep you from being hurt, it will allow you to open up space for relationships that bring value to your human journey. Substance Abuse Invites Evil Influences
Someone close to me has been fighting their demons for years. In my opinion such demons would relate to negative energy, or entities influencing a person who has opened themselves up, and become vulnerable to them because of substance abuse and addiction. This person’s crazy behavior has been progressive, part of which was aggression, anger and hate thoughts towards just about anybody.
Their background was dysfunctional, but not to the extent that it should change them from a relatively contented individual into a pressure cooker waiting to explode. I am now of the opinion this person was vulnerable to these lower energies because of alcohol abuse over several years. Continue reading
