Soul Scribes – Writing As Soul Craft
Out of all the creative activities we perform, perhaps none is more of a channel into our inner workings and those of the Universe, than writing. You may be saying that you’re not much of a writer? False! Everyone is a ‘soul scribe’ and everyone has a story to tell.
The real purpose of soul writing or soul journaling is not necessarily to tell a story with a beginning and end at all. It’s about the journey, and not the destination. When we write, particularly by hand, we are tapping our subconscious. The more we incorporate it into our daily routine, the more we start to see patterns and symbols emerge.
If you’re just beginning, remember that it takes at least thirty days to build a new habit. Don’t be concerned with correctness, spelling, grammar, or neatness. When you write, put down on paper anything and everything that comes to your mind. It doesn’t even have to make sense to you. It you feel so inclined, add doodles or flourishes to your work. The Twelve Laws Of Karma
Karma is a tricky word to define. And no, it doesn’t mean ‘revenge’ or ‘payback!’ In the simplest sense, karma is energy. We get back what we put forth. Or, to paraphrase Mahatma Gandhi, we become the product of our thoughts. And, like other forces at work in the Universe, karma follows a set of basic laws:
Great Law – We reap what we sow, every cause is related to an equal cause.
Law of Creation – Our intentions and desires are related. In other words, God helps those who help themselves.
Law of Humility – It is what it is. We must first address the root of our issues and accept things at face value, before we begin to change. Continue reading
Are You Ready For 2017?
The time has come for change, new beginnings, the start of a new year. Have you done your homework? Are you ready? Are you stuck? I ask you these questions, as the beginning of a new year is a time of reflection.
This is the perfect time to look at the past year and ask yourself, “How did I do?” Did you check any boxes off on your bucket list? Did you manifest anything new, different or exciting into your life? Or did you stay stuck where you were at the beginning of last year?
I impress upon you to pick up a pen and a journal, or even just a piece of paper, and start to write what things happened to you in 2016 that you are grateful for. I urge you to write down the continued intentions for your life. Even if they were on your list last year, and did not happen, write them down again. Continue reading
The Highly Sensitive Person’s Survival Guide
Imagine for a moment that you have a radio, and instead of tuning in to a single stations, all of the stations are playing at once. That’s what life sometimes feels like to a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) – a designation coined by psychologist Dr. Elaine Aron, which indicates someone whose senses are more attuned than normal to the stimuli around them. The word “empath” is sometimes used to describe highly sensitive people, and other groups, such as those on the autism spectrum.
Aside from sealing themselves in soundproof rooms, or wrapping up in padded clothing, what can they do in a world which sometimes delivers sensory overload? It’s best for the HSP to avoid certain things and situations. Continue reading
Interpreting Your Dreams
Everyone dreams. Whether it is a daydream, meditative dream or when you’re sleeping, we dream all the time. Many dreams carry symbolic energy within them, often containing spiritual messages for the dreamer. Dreams are not always easy to interpret, whenever we manage to remember them, but dream analysis can be developed as a practice. All it takes is some patience and perseverance.
The daydream or ‘awake dream’ is simply those things that you envision for your life. You may dream of a life partner, family, new house, vacation, new car, promotion at work, and so forth. The Angel Messages In Number Patterns
Two ideas in the psychic realm often overlap: our angel guides and the symbolism of numbers. Each of us has guardian angels or spiritual guides. If we are spiritually aware we often also notice that we see certain patterns of numbers throughout the day and in our dreams: the time, dates, addresses, phone numbers, road signs. Mediumship is the term used for spirit communication and is distinctly related to connecting to the spiritual essence of loved ones that have passed on. Throughout history, this label has been relegated to specific individuals called mediums, and the primary source of messages come through channeling or other experiences. However, the practice of mediumship can also be an individual or private practice.
Spirit is the transcendent force that unites all things, and it is this interconnected nature that allows us to connect with God, angels, spirit guides, and even loved ones that have transitioned into the realm beyond.
