My Grandfather’s Gift Of Love
Cherubic looking, my grandfather had a round face that was quick to reveal his kindness and sense of empathy. He was just as fast to express humor, which he frequently did. His tummy shook a bit when he laughed… like Santa Claus. He was a little, round Irish man that doted on me when I was deeply in need of this level of nurturing.
It’s not a bad story, as stories go. I was simply born to a couple of kids. My mother and father were naive country folk, and very young. I think that children back then, especially at those tender ages, were even younger than their years, as compared to today’s off-spring. The world was also naive then, compared to now. The Lessons Of Sagittarius
The Sun moved into the sign of Sagittarius, the Archer, on November 22nd and will remain there until December 21st. Sagittarius is a mutable (dual-natured) and masculine energy sign ruled by the element of Fire. If we look at its symbols, we can begin to better understand those born this time of year.
The constellation Sagittarius is a centaur – half man, half horse. Sagittarians are often said to have a logical, philosophical side, along with a more earthy, fun-loving streak, which represents mankind’s struggle between his heavenly and animalistic natures. Its glyph (astrological symbol) is an arrow pointing upward, which is appropriate for a sign whose nature is to constantly learn and question everything!

Don’t Blame The Children
We are repeatedly hearing lately that the children of today no longer play outside; they are no longer physically active, like their parents and grandparents used to be. Supposedly all they do is watch television and sit around all day with computers, tablets and smart phones.
Perhaps some of this is true. But if so, why is that? Of course, it is absolutely natural for a child to have an abundance of energy. It is in the nature of youngsters to run around and be full of life, exuberant and active. But truth be told, when children act that way in today’s world, we often imply that they are maladjusted or have an ailment or disorder. Highly active kids have become the scourge of many parents and teachers in modern society – the dreaded “hyperactive syndrome” or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Simple Scrying
Clients who visit me for private sittings often appear to be fascinated by my crystal ball, which always sits on a stand to the left of me as I work. With the help of my lovely crystal ball and a selection of divination cards, including the Tarot, I get assistance from spirit and my Ancestors in the form of symbols and letters.
Crystal-gazing, known as crystallomancy is a popular form of scrying. Crystal balls were known to be used in Europe way back in the 1500s, but historians also mention them being used at some time or other by many other cultures of the world. Continue reading
Romancing The Zodiac
For many years I wrote a weekly horoscope for a local newspaper. It was a fun and funky paper with a demographic core group of loyal readers aged 23 to 33, and a 70% female to 30% male readership.
The editor asked me what type of horoscope I thought the newspaper needed, given that the male readership ratio was so much smaller compared to that of women. I told her that we needed to do a horoscope for males and females of each sign. We needed to break down the walls between men and women, because the newspaper’s advice column seemed to suggest neither sex had a clue about what was going on in the others’ head.
My plan was to write the horoscopes combining elements of Astrology and Numerology, but the meat and potatoes, the predictions within each horoscope itself, would come from me using a different Tarot deck each week. I did an overview for the week ahead, one for males and one for females, in which lot of the astrological elements were taken into account. This was followed by a male and female horoscope for every sign of the Zodiac. Continue reading
Past Lives Leave Emotional Imprints
I recently did a psychic reading for a lady who has a real fear of the ocean. Her fear extends to being a passenger in an aircraft flying high above the ocean, to being on the beachfront trying to relax to the sound of waves crashing along the shore-line. She had booked a session with me to see if we could discover the source of her deep-seated fear of the sea.
The answer to people’s emotional blocks often comes to me through imagery and sounds, which I receive in my mind’s eye. Sometimes scrying using the crystal ball, or Tarot images and symbols are a catalyst for insights which spirit shows me. Continue reading
Less Is More Equals Less Anxiety
I was meditating the other day, and really needed to too! The whole first half of the day I had frantically been running around. There were so many things I felt “I had to do”. But after meditating I realized that many of the things I was so obsessed with get done, was really pointless. The frenzied day I embarked on just resulted in less money in my pocket, and additional stress when I ran into someone I really was trying to avoid. That ended up giving me a tension headache.
I could have been doing something else, something more constructive, like sitting in my comfy couch meditating and enjoying the wonderful serene rainstorm. That storm was really awesome; I really enjoy them. Continue reading
