Grandpa’s Visitation Heightened My Spirituality
I remember it very distinctively. Almost 16 years ago, after his passing, I prayed to God that I may be able to make contact with my Grandpa. I needed to say goodbye and tell him I love him one last time. He had promised me before his passing that he would return to visit me. He kept his promise.
I decided to learn the Rosary while at a Catholic bookstore, shortly before his funeral. I was buying cross pendants for my grandma and other members of the family who wanted to wear a similar necklace my grandpa would be buried with it. I felt it would help those of us mourning to feel connected and closer to him. I think I bought ten of them. My brothers each took one, as well as my mother, and of course my grandma and a few of my cousins.
A nun at the store told me that day that if I learned the Rosary, I would be blessed. She gave me a bookmark which explained all the different blessings one is to receive if you learn and recite the Rosary every day. I decided I wanted to know how to pray the Rosary. Continue reading
My Daughter’s New Life Beyond This One
Recently our 48 year old daughter passed away*. Those of you who have experienced the death of a child will understand the depth of the grief and sorrow that parents are left with. All we can hope for now is that the sense of loss will eventually not be so deep and profound.
The physical cause of her death was the effects of her cancer treatments, however, the soul cause of her passing was because she could no longer sustain any kind of happiness in this existence.
Kathy was beautiful, highly intelligent and possessed a remarkable sharp wit. Yet, from a very young age she also appeared aloof and reserved. Curiously, she was often judged, and sometimes quite harshly, because of this particular quirk. Why anyone would choose to be offended by this trait is still a mystery to me. Those like her, with an extremely sensitive soul, will inherently create an environment for themselves simply to protect that fragile being from harm. A Message From A Dog To His Human
The following is a transcript of a reading I had the honor to recently channel for a client whose dog had passed:
“He wants you to know he is with you still. Imagine his arms made of Light lifting you up, and letting you know he is floating in a wonderful place and totally pain free.
He wants you to know that he is part of the energy of the Light beings. In the same way that your finger is an aspect of your body, but he is not your entire body, he is an aspect of the angels, although not entirely an angel on his own.
He was not always a dog, and is not a dog now. He came back as a dog this time around because there are certain lessons we have to learn on our Journeys, and it just so happened that the lessons he had to learn this time could best be learned not only in dog form, but with none other than you. A Visit From Ken
When I was 21, I moved eight hours away from my home town. I left behind friends, family and a dance company I owned. It was a difficult decision, but I knew it was time to move to Los Angeles to become a performer.
One month after I moved, I received a phone call from my ex-boyfriend, Ron. Ron told me his uncle Ken had passed. I was horrified. I had not said goodbye to him and had not spoken to him since I moved.
I loved Ken. He was into reincarnation and metaphysics. We had many conversations about what happens when you cross over and what the afterlife was all about. We had read many of the same books and had the same philosophy of what the other side was like. I remember Ken’s great salads and dinners, and how he had really tried to make a family atmosphere for Ron and his little brother after he had adopted them. Grief Is A Gift Of Experience
Long ago, I yearned for a deeper life, a full life, a sane life. And the door opened. It led me within. Now, I long for a deep wound to be healed, and again I feel the door opening. I am prepared for the changes that come each time the door opens, and welcome them with profound gratitude.
Last year had been a particularly difficult time for me. So much grief! All part of the process, of course. Yet, I was wondering when I would get back into the universal flow? When would the spiritual things I need for my Journey manifest?
Suddenly, “voila”! Sheer magic arrived in the form of three different humans from totally different walks of life that resonate with me so perfectly that I’m totally grateful for the grief. Now I can see the perfection in the stunning beauty of the sum of it. Continue reading
Afterlife Signs From The Dearly Departed
When someone close to us passes on they often give us signs to let us know that they are still around. Our loved ones are very eager to let us know that everything is fine with them when they cross over.
Those who have passed on still know what goes on in our daily lives and they still love us. They want us to know that. Not all of us can always sense them around us, that doesn’t mean they will not give us a sign.
These signs from the other side come in different ways, shapes and forms:
Animals & Insects
Loved ones often come to us in the form of an animal or other creature, from a butterflies and puppies to birds and wild animals. These animals might show up from nowhere, cross our path, call to us from outside, fly into a room, or even land on us! The Monarch butterfly is a well-known symbol of loved ones visiting us from the spiritual realm. Continue reading
Animal Spirits
Earlier this year my cat, Tigger, passed away after reaching the advanced age of 21. I had Tigger in my life since 1993 and he was more than a pet. He was like my son who was always there when I came home from work.
In the month leading up to his death I kept seeing his spirit leaving his body. What was weird is that I also kept seeing shadows of two cats that looked a lot like him.
Over the years I have seen several animal spirits of family pets that I grew up with. In these moments I could sometimes also hear different family members calling for the animals by name. I heard my parents call my childhood animals, and I even heard my grandparents, aunts and uncles who had passed away. Continue reading
