The Year Of The Dog

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comAs an aficionado of all things metaphysical, from auras to a zebra jasper crystal, I have always found Chinese Astrology particularly fascinating. I’ve read any and everything I could lay my hands on and ultimately, I believe, I have come up with my own fundamental basic understanding of it.

I’m a simple woman and as a writer I have found the simple approach is best. Chinese Astrology is based on 12 different animals, and the traits of each species defines the characteristics of each Chinese Zodiac year. If you understand the animal, then you understand the Chinese astrological sign associated with it. You might say it is an easy key to understanding what may initially seem complicated.

According to Chinese Astrology we are entering the Year of the Dog this month. Associated with the element of Earth and the season of Autumn, the closest Western Astrology signs are Scorpio and Libra. Continue reading

My First Lesson In Karma

click here for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comWhen we are young and inundated with life, wrapped up in the goings on of early adulthood, we sometimes miss important moments. But fortunately we can sometimes go back and touch on those things with our mind that we didn’t take the time for during those early years.

For example, I was thinking recently about a friend I used to go visit a lot when I was younger. She was from another country and her parents were much older than most who had a 15-year-old child.

We used to have sleepovers. One memory that stands out is waking up at her house one particular morning and looking out her bedroom window. It was late fall and I remember seeing her father sitting on a chair in their backyard, near the edge of the woods. He was playing a musical instrument which was some sort of Native American flute. We All Thrive Differently

Click photo for a free reading at PsychicAccess.comI love plants and enjoy sharing space with them. I several in my home and take very good care of them. I’m mindful to water them around the same time every week and I even talk to them. In many ways, I look at them as my friends.

I live in a home that doesn’t get much sunshine, so I have selected plants that require low light. While they never receive any direct sunlight, they are thriving like champs and are healthy and happy.

Plants are much like people in that sense. Some of us require a lot of people around us to be happy, the same way some plants need lots of sunshine. But some of us require lots of quiet, alone time, like some plants prefer the shade. We all recharge and thrive in different ways. Continue reading

Poco A Poco

Click picture to get a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comI thought today of how certain expressions tend to stick in our minds; thoughts which we adopt for a while, or even a lifetime. It can be the words of a famous writer we have read somewhere, an expression in a song, or even just the ideas of somebody we just had a brief conversation with.

Internationally renowned author and speaker, Wayne Dyer, once said, “You will never get everything done.” It’s a good feeling at the end of the day, to know that we’ve gotten through much on our ‘to-do list.’ But for me, I also gain some comfort from such as words of wisdom as Wayne Dyer’s, as well as the poem, Desiderata, which advises us to, “Go placidly amid the noise and the haste.” Continue reading

Communicate With Your Animals

click picture for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comMy mother was in some ways a woman of the times. She hauled water from a well to feed and clean her children, as well as her home. She also made her own bread and jams from the local berries we picked. She also put up preserves for the winter and grew her own vegetables.

Just outside our backdoor was my mother’s vegetable garden, and the shed where she had to take the wood from for the big kitchen stove. Daily, my mother would come out of the house to complete her chores, and to this present time and I can clearly recall a blue jay bird that used to squawk at her. It was not just idle chat on the blue jay’s part. He would squawk, my mother would respond, and it always appeared as if he could completely understand what she was saying.

My siblings and I took it for granted that my mother could easily communicate with our fine feathered friends, and we assumed other people could do this as well. Continue reading

Animal Afterlife

click on photo for a free psychic reading at PsychicAccess.comI was doing a remote viewing reading recently for a friend, whose golden retriever had gone missing, to see if I could locate the dog. I saw her in a pasture, near a barn. There happened to be a farm right up the road from my friend’s house, so that is where she went.

She sent me a message later to let me know that she had found her Daisy, near a barn, like I had seen her. The owners had been trying to figure out who she might belong to. They had just taken a picture of her and was about to get posters made to share around, in hopes of finding her owner.

I was so happy for my friend, because she got Daisy four years ago, after her previous dog, Honey, had passed. Honey lived for nearly 8 years, before passing due to health issues. They were so connected, and she has always felt that Daisy and Honey have many similarities. She even felt at times that Honey’s spirit may have reincarnated through Daisy. Honey also looked just like Daisy, both golden retrievers. Continue reading

The Ancient Art Of Possum Bone Casting

Click on picture for a free reading right now at PsychicAccess.comI have spent some time exploring ancient forms of divination. It made me realize one can use just about anything, from bones to rocks, or even animal intestines – anything that may be handy at the time.

A few years back a friend of mine moved from Maine to New Orleans. We are connected on Facebook, so I decided to contact her to see how she liked living in New Orleans, and what she was doing for work. Much to my surprise she said, “I’m doing bone readings in the French Quarter of the city.” Well, that certainly peaked my interest.

I have since began studying the art of bone casting. As with anything, I found lots of ideas and several different opinions on the matter. Using my own intuition, I settled on learning to read possum bones. They are said to be the real deal, but I have never seen a possum in the state of Maine (even though I’m sure possum is here.)
