For the sake of convenience, I sometimes refer to myself as a “healer.” However, I do not heal anybody. My task is to listen, and open myself up to receive the energy, the light and the information that allows me to become the catalyst for the healing and transformation of my client. I am simply a conduit. The healing is a decision between the client and the universe.
Healing is a capacity shared by all. You don’t need to be entrenched in a specific religious or spiritual belief. It is not a requirement that your every thought be pleasant or that you never utter a sarcastic word, or that you become a vegetarian. The list is endless. Read the rest of this entry »
I have recently had more and more clients ask me about their spiritual connection, and how it has past life influences and future implications. With the advent of communication technology we see that we are coming into an evolutionary shift of consciousness as it relates to relationships between individuals in the human family.
Let’s first look at social and spiritual structures in relationships. I would like to resurrect for the purpose of this blog the Greek word metron (μέτρον). Metron is a unit of measure that we can use to explain our sphere of influence, and also the spiritual gifts and styles that we use to influence this sphere.
Many of us have a limited metron, and consistently manifest together with the same grouping of souls on the planet. We each have a familiar structure that is related to soul agreements before incarnating on the planet. This is why we sometimes meet a person and have the feeling that we have known them our whole lives. What is happening is that our souls are united in the same metron. Read the rest of this entry »
Stanislav Grof’s book, When the Impossible Happens, includes a chapter about Luiz Antonio Gasparetto, a psychologist from Brazil who is able to enter a trance state and paint in the style of a wide range of famous painters.
Masters like Monet, Picasso, Rembrandt, da Vinci, Modigliani, Manet, van Gogh, and Gauguin are just some of the famous painters that he channels. As well as painting exact replicas of these artists’ known works, he paints “new motifs rendered in easily recognizable styles of individual artists.” Dr. Grof describes how they turned off all the lights except for one small red light over the paper so that Gasparetto couldn’t distinguish color. At times Gasparetto would paint two different paintings together, and he even did one upside down under the table with his right foot. Read the rest of this entry »
When we truly love someone, we are eternally connected to that person – throughout all of our lifetimes. That love cord is never severed. No one, or nothing, not even the Archangel Michael can sever this cord with his sword.
It is true that love is the most powerful force and it is my belief that God is love. We get to bask in this blissful feeling in its entirety, which is much too much for our earthly minds to even comprehend. I do know that we get to taste a bit of it through the feelings we experience when we deeply love another person. It is our ‘taste of heaven’ here on earth and we can enhance the feeling through gratitude for that person that is in our lives. In turn we can also treat each other better, appreciate each other more, knowing that the moment truly is all that we have and it can be taken away at any moment. Read the rest of this entry »
Have you ever thought what you could have done differently today? So many of us follow the same routine. We get up at the same time every morning, go to work, take the same route coming home and tomorrow it all repeats itself again.
I notice that in my own life that since I retired I have become set in the same routines and patterns. I am stuck in a groove and most days it is hard to break away.
But we do have the opportunity to at least do something now and then to make the world a better place. Not only will you be adding value to the lives of others, but you will also add some color to your own. Read the rest of this entry »
Honest people want so desperately to speak the truth at all cost, because they know that honesty makes you feel a ‘lightness of being’. It is a liberating feeling. Not telling the truth makes you feel weighted down and guilty, and creates dis-ease in the body. Being dishonest is not good for your health.
The old saying goes, “The truth shall set you free.” This can be interpreted many ways, but I find this quote to have deeper meaning on many levels. Sometimes people get in the habit of lying, because they fear someone won’t like them, or maybe they feel they need to tell people what they want to hear for fear of rejection, or hurting someone’s feelings. Like everyone, I was so upset about the Boston bombings. More people killed and injured for no good reason at all. Sometimes, I think that the Spirit world must look down on us and ask “why are they killing each other?’
I spent some time recently studying Boston’s astrological chart. I was not surprised to see that when it is progressed according to hermetic principles, the recent event was perfectly foretold by the planets. In hermetic astrology, we work with major progressed aspects which we calculate from the natal chart. We see these major progressed aspects as major underlying circumstances (a little like kegs of dynamite). We see minor progressed aspects as fuses to these kegs of dynamite. Transiting planets act like matches, triggering events. Let’s take a look at what happened today. Read the rest of this entry »
Recently, we celebrated another Father’s Day in many countries all over the world. For the seventh year in a row I did not see my son, Raymond. Yes, as always I got my hopes up, only to be disappointed again. I usually try to prepare myself days in advance, to get myself out of a bad attitude for knowing that he won’t be around.
I am sure there many fathers or mothers who do not get to see their children. I was a good father, and I know that no one can take that away from me. Father’s Day is a lot harder to me than Thanksgiving or even Christmas, because that one day out of the year is to honor your parents. Both of mine are gone, but I still reflect on what I did for them when they were alive, and what they did for me. Read the rest of this entry »
