Goodbye My Mentor, Farewell My Friend
My mentor of many years passed away a couple of weeks ago. I hadn’t seen him in a few years and time does tend to move on. Sadly, cancer had taken its ugly toll. He was practically a household name on the West Coast of the USA, and had owned, for many years, indeed until the day he died, a leading chain of psychic stores.
Because it had been a while since I had seen him, the last thing in the world I would ever have expected actually happened. He passed away on a Monday. From the Thursday beforehand I had known something was up. I didn’t know what is was, I only knew to call my former manager and ask, “What in the world is wrong, I can feel it from here!” We were always very close, she and I. But she is a private soul and so she didn’t divulge any information about my mentor, although she was not surprised to hear from me. Continue reading
Can A Psychic Read During Illness?
The actual and more correct question ought to be – should a psychic read while suffering from an illness? A psychic can read anytime, anywhere – or at least this has been my personal experience. But do you want to do it? Is it fair to you and your health as a reader? And can you truly give your client your best, which is what any reader worth their salt wants to do at all times?
I have chronic bronchitis which rears its ugly head approximately twice a year. I keep antibiotics on hand, and plenty of fluids. But I lose my voice, and I must be very careful with it lest it turns into pneumonia, which used to happen quite frequently until I learned what times of year and weather patterns triggered my sickness.
So, while I am able for the most part to keep it under control, I still end up feeling rather the worse for wear for at least two to three weeks. I try, for my own sake, not to work at this time, because I take my clients’ issues to heart on a good day, when I am filled with energy. To try and take on these same issues, while I am hacking and coughing, just doesn’t resonate well with me. Continue reading
Saturn’s Call To Action
Saturn – a planet of structure, rules, responsibilities and change – has gone retrograde until June 2012. For people that don’t like rules and responsibility, it is not a good time. Come June, should they not have taken care of proverbial business, they will be even more unhappy. But if they take this time to do what needs to be done, to put their back into it, they can see truly amazing results.
The planet Saturn was named after Cronos, a Greco-Roman God, the father of Zeus and the Ruler of Time itself.
There is also an astrological aspect known as Saturn return. It usually hits your chart anywhere from age 28 to 32 years of age. The more you fight the aspects of it, the worse it will be for you. At this stage of your life you will be called upon to decide who and what you want to be for the next 20 or so years, and you will clean house in the process. Continue reading
Puppets On The Strings Of Destiny
There is only one way to judge the quality of any psychic reading. The moment you finish your conversation with the reader, you should feel ready to make a choice, prepare for a decision… or at least take some sort of action. You should also have a basic idea or plan outlined for the way forward.
A good psychic reading will leave you feeling inspired, informed, enlightened and ready to take a step forward in your life, for better or worse. But, sadly, this is not always what people want from their psychic readings.
Do you believe that your life path is entirely pre-destined? Some people do. They prefer to see themselves as helpless puppets on a string, hanging around, while fate takes its course. For them the future is firmly carved in stone. Their destiny is pre-determined and their life path non-negotiable. The writing is on the wall. Period.
Just Imagine The Possibilities
John Lennon asked us to “imagine all the people living life in peace”. Now imagine the possibilities if each person learned to express that same peace within themselves. Sooner or later, all people would enjoy true peace. It would spread like wildfire!
Possibilities are something that each being hopes for. Each human, each animal and each tree that is growing. All of living creatures and entities somehow imagine possibilities. But, do they imagine the worst or the best outcome?
Animals expect love. They also crave affection and hope, but always to be loved. Trees hope to grow high, up into the sky, spreading their branches wherever they can, much to the chagrin of some homeowners! But when it comes to humans, it seems we have a different inclination. Do we imagine the best outcome, the best possibility? Or do we tend to envision the worst of the ‘what if’ scenario? Continue reading
The Purpose of Purpose
Too often we go through life asking ourselves what our ‘purpose’ is. Why are we here, what are we meant to do? If we get far enough into this thought process, the next question is usually: how do I get to there from here?
The purpose of purpose is really very simple. We were born to be the best version of ourselves that we can possibly be. What that means for each individual is unique to each person.
It boils down to being content in our own skin. That is, of course, easier said than done – even for the most highly evolved and spiritual people. In fact it can be harder, because for those who walk the path close to Spirit the path is never an easy one.
There is one aspect of purpose that remains true, regardless of who you are. One must never use purpose for your own purpose. Yes, check your motives. Why do you do what you do? Why do you think you need what you need? The truth is most people look to others for their self-worth; they look to others to validate their own existence. Continue reading
All That Cumbersome Impossibility
If you can change just one thing about the world we live in, what would it be?
The typical response from most people would probably be something along the lines of a standard beauty pageant response, such as ‘world peace’ or ‘global warming’.
Sure, these are all noble causes, but do they solve more than one problem?
What if there was an often overlooked and a very basic adjustment we could all make, something that could potentially revolutionize the society we live in? I mean, what would happen if we all simply gave up our attempts at trying to control, manipulate and coerce others into being what we expect them to be, or to behave in ways we expect them to? It may not solve all our problems, but it might just get us much further than we currently imagine possible. Continue reading
