Empath Unplugged At Bath Spa
The host at Burghope Manor country inn in Bradford-on-Avon, England, is a very wise man. He has seen many travelers come and go over the years, and obviously knows what is best for each of them.
When I told him I had downloaded an audio tour on my iPod, from the local tourism website, and was going to do a “Jane Austen walk” through the historic town of Bath, he gave me a skeptical look like only the British can and said, “You might want to stop by the Roman Baths first. It is a must-see, but go there early in the morning, before the tour groups arrive from London.”
Well, who am I to argue with such a determined a messenger of the Universe?
Arriving at the Roman Baths Museum, I was planning to have a quick 30 minute browse around and then go off in pursuit of the famous Ms Austen’s favorite haunts. For as long as I can remember, I have absolutely hated the taste of water from the faucet. I’ve been saying for years, that I can taste the chemicals in it. So many of my friends and family have laughed at me, telling me I am crazy.
The taste and smell of water that comes out of my kitchen faucet, repulses me to the point that I refuse to drink it. I have found myself in the hospital for dehydration more times than I care to admit.
So, I began wondering… what chemicals are used to treat the water that we drink? Well, I found that it’s not so much the chemicals to clean the water that may be the problem. It is the fluoride that is added to our water. Continue reading
My Anti-Aging Secret
Spring is here and Summer is right around the corner. And, many of us are doing what we can to look our best for the upcoming summer events. Some of us are dieting frantically. Some of us are buying tanning packages or laying in the sun in the back yard trying to get that perfect tan to go with the new summer outfits. Some of us are getting laser treatments to remove unwanted hair. Some of us are getting our hair highlighted.
I admit, I am guilty of indulging in one or two of the above mentioned beauty and lifestyle techniques. But, I have one carefully guarded secret that I plan to share with the world today.
Quite often, I am met with disbelief and astonishment when I tell people how old I am. I am 41 yrs old. And, I am told that I look no older than 32. I’ve heard “twenty something” but, that is just pushing it. I am a mother of four and also grandmother. And, I honestly don’t have the time or money for expensive skin and hair treatments. Generally people are mostly familiar with conventional hypnosis, the kind which conjures up images of advertisements for weight loss and to stop smoking, as well as the entertainment version of volunteers running around on stage, performing all manner of antics. For the stage variety, the volunteer will be in a deep state of relaxation, having bypassed the highly critical conscious mind and will have thrown all inhibitions to the wind.
In Holistic Hypnosis, a practitioner relaxes their subject into what is known as the Beta state, assisting them to put to one side their critical conscious mind. Faulty patterning, causing deep seated fears, phobias and depression can respond well to a course of sessions. For the subject, it’s a matter of allowing themselves to be reprogrammed, and consent to the treatment as a means of bringing their being back to its natural healthy state in body, mind and spirit. My Method Of Healing Balance
We all have the ability to help and to heal others, but for some of us it’s a calling we are drawn to in this lifetime.
I have studied and applied various healing techniques during my working career as a healer. I have always felt that no matter which technique we use, be it hands on healing, massage, or Reiki, healing actually comes ‘through’ us. When we open ourselves up as channels our spirit helpers can send healing energy through us that frequently creates powerful shifts within the patient. Often it is also to the disbelief of some medical practitioners.
I’ve created my own healing ‘blend’ from the various modalities I have studied, and I like to call this Healing Balance. Healing Balance works with particular access points into the body – the 7 major chakras and the minor chakras located mainly at the joints. Can A Psychic Read During Illness?
The actual and more correct question ought to be – should a psychic read while suffering from an illness? A psychic can read anytime, anywhere – or at least this has been my personal experience. But do you want to do it? Is it fair to you and your health as a reader? And can you truly give your client your best, which is what any reader worth their salt wants to do at all times?
I have chronic bronchitis which rears its ugly head approximately twice a year. I keep antibiotics on hand, and plenty of fluids. But I lose my voice, and I must be very careful with it lest it turns into pneumonia, which used to happen quite frequently until I learned what times of year and weather patterns triggered my sickness.
So, while I am able for the most part to keep it under control, I still end up feeling rather the worse for wear for at least two to three weeks. I try, for my own sake, not to work at this time, because I take my clients’ issues to heart on a good day, when I am filled with energy. To try and take on these same issues, while I am hacking and coughing, just doesn’t resonate well with me. Continue reading
Can Oxygen Help To Prevent Cancer?
Six years ago this week, I sat with my mother as she took her last breath. She died of brain cancer. She went to the doctor with a massive headache. They ran some tests, and she was told that she had fourth stage brain cancer, and had only three weeks to live.
Last night, in the exact same Hospice Center, six years after her death to the day, I sat with my life-long, dear friend and roommate of six years, as he was taking his last breaths. He too is dying of cancer at the age of 37. This cancer was also detected about three weeks ago. After only two chemotherapy treatments, the doctors said it was useless. He was then transferred to the Hospice Center to die.
Last month, my cousin went to the doctor complaining of pain in his groin area. He was admitted to the hospital for tests. They found fourth stage cancer and he died four days later. Continue reading
