My Anti-Aging Secret
Spring is here and Summer is right around the corner. And, many of us are doing what we can to look our best for the upcoming summer events. Some of us are dieting frantically. Some of us are buying tanning packages or laying in the sun in the back yard trying to get that perfect tan to go with the new summer outfits. Some of us are getting laser treatments to remove unwanted hair. Some of us are getting our hair highlighted.
I admit, I am guilty of indulging in one or two of the above mentioned beauty and lifestyle techniques. But, I have one carefully guarded secret that I plan to share with the world today.
Quite often, I am met with disbelief and astonishment when I tell people how old I am. I am 41 yrs old. And, I am told that I look no older than 32. I’ve heard “twenty something” but, that is just pushing it. I am a mother of four and also grandmother. And, I honestly don’t have the time or money for expensive skin and hair treatments.
Nobody grows old merely by living a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals. Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul ~ Samuel Ullman
So, here is my secret to looking and feeling younger than I am.
First, I eat a lot of red grapes. As it is well known those little fruit are wonderful for anti-aging. I also eat a ton of garlic and broccoli. I don’t wash my face with any harsh soaps and I wear natural mineral make-up. And, I try to keep my face from burning in the sun. But, none of those things compare to a little trick that I do every night before bed.
Let me back up just a bit. Scientists agree that aging, at least in part, is due to the deterioration of our cells. Damage to the molecules-such as proteins, lipids and nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) that make up our cells. If enough damage is done to our cells they will not function properly. Thus, causing things such as our organs failing to do their jobs as intended.
Now, if you’ve ever seen a live cell under a microscope they spin in a clockwise motion kind of like a spiral. So, some years ago, I decided that if I wanted to reverse aging I must reverse my cells.
Each night, before I go to sleep. I lay on my back. I do my relaxation technique. Then, focusing on my head and face, I visualize those cells stopping spinning. Then reversing, and spinning in the opposite direction. I continue to do this for the rest of my body. I have mastered this technique to the point that I can actually feel a tingling sensation in my skin. My ideal age is about 27. So, I reverse my cells to that point. Then, I quit and go to sleep. Works like a charm. It only takes 5-10 minutes a day. And, the results are amazing.
