The Departure Of Miss Emeylia
I have been receiving visitations from the very kind spirit of a lady for the past year and a half. Through automatic writing I was able to find out her name. Miss Emeylia.
She came by foot in her flight to freedom and was staying where I had found her, but ended up dying there decades and decades ago. There is the remainder of what was once an underground shelter in the basement of a popular restaurant, which I often frequented when I first saw and met her. She followed me home and has been here ever since.
I was finishing up doing a Tarot reading on the night before Halloween, before getting ready to do my Samhain ritual, when I caught a silhouette of Miss Em standing in the doorway of my living room. She was smiling at me and it looked like she had something to share, almost like she had a huge surprise or secret and was trying to keep it contained. She became more and more visible. She telepathically told me she was ready to move on. That she was ready to leave this place and go on to the next world.
Aromatherapy Divination
Our sense of smell is most closely related to parts of the brain that play a major role in controlling mood, memory, behavior, and emotion. In a spiritual sense, smells can trigger memories of people, places, and past events. There’s even a type of psychic ability in mediumship when communicating with deceased loved ones, known as clairolfaction or clairalience.
Clairolfaction is when we smell something that reminds us of someone we used to know who is now on the Other Side. This smell is distinct and comes out of nowhere. When a deceased loved one pays a visit to someone in the living and makes their presence known through smell, it could come through as a perfume they used to wear, or the smell of cigarette smoke, flowers, foods, or just about anything unique to that person.
Delivering Messages From The Afterlife
Is it true that the dearly departed can communicate with us through signs? Can you please give me a message of proof that my much loved friends, family or pets on the other side are okay?
These are some of the questions that psychic mediums receive when a caller longs for proof that the soul journey of their loved ones continues on the other side of the veil. From time to time callers also ask me if I believe in an afterlife. Well, I don’t just believe it exists – I know it does! My strong ‘knowing’ is due to my personal experiences, as well as my professional experiences delivering messages from spirit to others.
My husband is known to have quite the opposite viewpoint. He says, ”When you’re dead, you’re dead.’ I have wondered if he maybe states this as some kind of a self-protection device? Because he has also had his share of ‘other-worldly’ experiences, including a couple of eerie visitations from spirit.
Trance, Transfiguration And Channeling
When an authentic psychic medium is doing a reading, they are entering into varying levels of trance, or altered states of consciousness, to access information from the Spirit realm. The Collins dictionary defines this as “a state of mind in which someone seems to be asleep and to have no conscious control over their thoughts or actions, but in which they can see and hear things and respond to commands given by other people.”
Each reader has their own process of making the connection and style of disseminating the information. Not only are psychic readers ‘seeing’ and ‘hearing’ things, and responding to commands from the Spirit side of life, but they are simultaneously also energetically connected with the client and walking between the two realms, namely that of the Spirit realm and the present moment.
The Joy Of Mediumship
People that know me call me the ‘Happy Medium,’ because I am usually very upbeat when I am bringing through their loved ones. I do feel always so happy to do readings and to share my gifts with those I read for. I love connecting with my clients loved ones on their behalf. It is always uplifting, because it confirms what I know to be true – there is an afterlife.
I got a call from one of my dear clients last week that told me that she was happy to connect with her mother, who came through in a reading after she did what I suggested she do before going to sleep. She was so happy that she told me she was going to do this every night, in order to try an connect also with other loved ones that have crossed over.
Helping my clients tap into their own unique psychic powers is also gratifying. I always let my clients know when I see that they have certain gifts, and how to tap into them and use them in their life.
Night Owls
I am a typical night owl. ‘Night owl’ is the nickname often given to people who are typically awake late at night, while the rest of the world are asleep and dreaming. I believe as long as one gets enough sleep to maintain your health, it really doesn’t matter whether you are a night owl… or an early bird. ‘Early bird’ is, of course, the nickname that is usually assigned to the early risers.
This brings up a question that my clients and students ask a lot. Why do I wake up almost every night between 3:00 and 4:30am? Well, it’s traditionally called the ‘witching hour.’ As a psychic medium I know from experience that this is the time when spirit can come through more easily, because there is more moisture in the air at this time of the night. We are bio-electrical beings and spirit is pure energy. With water being a conductor for electricity, it makes sense it would be easier for them to communicate with us at this time.
The Fundamentals Of Psychic Development
I just finished teaching an intensive psychic development course called Discovering Your Intuitive and Mediumistic Abilities. All the material that was discussed, and the questions from my students, are still fresh in my mind. So, I felt it is a good time to write about it today.
Firstly, it has been my experience that there isn’t just one kind of person interested in psychic subject matter. My students over the years have included professionals, trades people, retired seniors, students, and stay-at-home moms. I have had a heart surgeon, a nurse, restaurant servers, hairstylists and even a workman who does dry walling, as students in my classes.
It is my belief that everyone is psychic and can learn to read energy and communicate with spirit in some way. Some of my students will go on to become professional psychics, mediums, intuitives, or energy workers. Others take the class merely for their own spiritual growth or personal development. About 90% of my students are empaths, or care-givers who work with the public in some way.
