Be Brave My Fellow Indigo
A zealous pastor once pointed at me in front of a congregation of churchgoers and said, “You, young man, will someday go into the darkest of places and bring many souls to the Light.” At the time I did not realize that I would first have to drag myself through a dark night of the soul, before his prophecy would finally become manifest and I would be of any real use to anyone else.
As ethereal and cool as his words may have sounded at the time, the actual journey itself was certainly not a glamorous affair! Yet, I still consider myself to be one of the lucky ones.
I have been asked why my first book, Divine Living, was dedicated to “those Indigo Souls of my generation who may have lost their way.” As a formerly lost, unconscious Lightworker, and one of the seemingly misplaced New Children, it was simply my hope that my experiences might inspire others of my kind. Death Shall Never Part Us
You will hear people say, “I love you to death.” Or “until death do us part.” Or better yet, “I will love you until the day I die.” I have never been able to wrap my mind around this. Does the love you have for a special person in your life become non-existent after you die? Once we are dead it is over? Nothingness?
No, this I do not believe, because I know there is life after death. I have my own proof. My experiences with loved ones that have crossed over have shown me this. They have come back to very much look me square in the face and say, “I still love you.” There is life after death. Continue reading
A Life Lesson From My Favorite Angel
Recently, I found out that my favorite angel is suffering from cancer and was given six months to live. Of course I was devastated and my heart was broken. This dear, angelic friend just happens to have four legs, a sable and white coat… and one blue eye. In her physical form she’s a Shetland Sheepdog, more commonly knows as a “Sheltie”, but she is also one of the most powerful healing energies I’ve had the privilege to encounter in this life.
As an animal lover I’ve always known pets are special and they come into our lives for various reasons. Dogs especially are founts of unconditional love and they give us an opportunity to be guardians of the highest caliber. They are teachers as well as companions, soothing our spirits, lifting our emotions and many times teaching us patience and leadership. They are quite simply extraordinary beings. Continue reading
Cats Among Us
Everyone enjoys companionship in some way, shape or form. One of my favorite sources is the domestic cat. I believe those of us who are “owned by cats” will live longer than those who live without at least one cat in their life.
Think of their versatility: home defense against small varmints, free earthquake alarm, lap warming, purr therapy, and so much more. However, the main reason why I love my two cats so much is their silent gift of unconditional love. Cats are very ritualistic. They tend to come to you when you need them the most. It’s almost like they can feel your energy, they just sense when you need a friend, and without a thought, they are there, to comfort, heal and love. Grandpa’s Visitation Heightened My Spirituality
I remember it very distinctively. Almost 16 years ago, after his passing, I prayed to God that I may be able to make contact with my Grandpa. I needed to say goodbye and tell him I love him one last time. He had promised me before his passing that he would return to visit me. He kept his promise.
I decided to learn the Rosary while at a Catholic bookstore, shortly before his funeral. I was buying cross pendants for my grandma and other members of the family who wanted to wear a similar necklace my grandpa would be buried with it. I felt it would help those of us mourning to feel connected and closer to him. I think I bought ten of them. My brothers each took one, as well as my mother, and of course my grandma and a few of my cousins.
A nun at the store told me that day that if I learned the Rosary, I would be blessed. She gave me a bookmark which explained all the different blessings one is to receive if you learn and recite the Rosary every day. I decided I wanted to know how to pray the Rosary. Continue reading
Hugged By An Angel
Mostly we can’t see angels with the human eye, but that doesn’t mean they are not around us. They are constantly here, protecting us. God sends us these loving messengers to guide, console and protect us.
Back in the 70s, when I was a little boy, I had a dream of my sister drawing pictures of angels. I saw it all in vivid detail – from the color of their hair and eyes to their height and gender. Even the details of the large wings were clear as day.
I had forgotten about this dream over the years, until I had it again recently. When I next spoke to my sister, I asked her if she could remember me telling her about the dream all those years ago. Amazingly, she not only remembered, but she also confessed to having had the same dream recently! Continue reading
My Daughter’s New Life Beyond This One
Recently our 48 year old daughter passed away*. Those of you who have experienced the death of a child will understand the depth of the grief and sorrow that parents are left with. All we can hope for now is that the sense of loss will eventually not be so deep and profound.
The physical cause of her death was the effects of her cancer treatments, however, the soul cause of her passing was because she could no longer sustain any kind of happiness in this existence.
Kathy was beautiful, highly intelligent and possessed a remarkable sharp wit. Yet, from a very young age she also appeared aloof and reserved. Curiously, she was often judged, and sometimes quite harshly, because of this particular quirk. Why anyone would choose to be offended by this trait is still a mystery to me. Those like her, with an extremely sensitive soul, will inherently create an environment for themselves simply to protect that fragile being from harm. This attitude should be embraced and rewarded, instead of judged and ridiculed. Continue reading
