From Scared to Sacred
We all have our journeys in life to travel, we all have our paths to walk and we all have our very own (we would like to think) demons to slay on our path to ‘enlightenment.’
From scared to sacred is but a tiny maneuver, the tiniest shift in your consciousness, which can allow the true and awesome power of the Sacred and the Divine to cut through the fear of the scared. It is as miniscule a shift as it is to change the spelling of the words themselves.
You may think it is impossible and you may think it is too hard to do, but in reality the easiest thing in this world to let go of is fear. Being In Your Element
A former work associate, whom I hadn’t heard from in several years, recently called me to touch base. She asked me how I was doing and out popped my words: “I am in my element! I am working from home, doing what I love and surrounded by my menagerie of many”.
After we ended the call, I began analyzing what I had just said, and just what “being in my element” really meant, because it isn’t a term I use regularly. It made me more aware of how I had specifically set my intention and manifested the actual circumstances I wanted to work in, even though, right now, I am in the process of manifesting them on another continent! Begin By Loving Yourself Unconditionally
The first person any of us learns to love is ourself. And that’s how it should be, even if many of us forget how to do that somewhere along the way. Yet, how can we expect to show love for anyone else if we do not first love ourselves?
So many of us think of love as an abstract “thing.” Love is not a thing; it’s an action! We need to make it a part of our conscious thought.
Also, we live in a culture which is harsh, judgmental, and narrow-minded, which causes so many of us to stop loving ourselves. Everyone has had a time when he or she felt less than, or imperfect. This becomes a snowball effect where we gradually put ourselves down all the time. But it doesn’t have to be this way, and unconditional love of self is the basis of all healthy relationships. Spiritual Awakening, Now What?
A few years ago, in the time leading up to 2012, I wrote a blog post about the symptoms of spiritual awakening. Well, here we are in 2014 and some of us are wondering what to do now?
Some of us feel as though we didn’t make it. Some of us are wondering if we made it, but don’t know it? Some feel as though they have awakened, but have hit a plateau and are unsure of what to do next.
All of these examples are types of plateaus we must face in our diverse journeys. I can only offer advice on what I have personally dealt with and come to embrace in my own.
The Self-Fulfilling Prophecy Of Fear
Recently, people have been posing their last question in a reading as: “Is there anything I need to beware, or frightened about in the coming year?”
Sometimes a psychic or spiritual advisor can bring a client additional anguish in their lives by encouraging them to focus on a fearful occurrence which could happen, rather than encouraging the person to be vigilant at particular times or steps they can take to go in a more positive direction.
I recently witnessed a typical example of additional fear being created for a customer when a lady who came to me with her daughter for a private mediumship sitting. The girl’s father committed suicide two weeks before. Although we did manage to get some closure for them from the reading, as well as actual messages from the deceased, they were both still very anxious, because of what their priest had communicated to them almost immediately after the deceased took his life. Surround Yourself With Positive People
Some people have a smile, warmth and depth to them that is out of this world. These are the people you want to stay connected with.
Some people never evolve, but that is okay. Visualize them being away from you and being “great” somewhere else.
Some people think they are in kindergarten and, although they are adults now, they still play the game of “grapevine.” These people you can also wish away, to be “great” somewhere else.
Sometimes you’re lucky enough to find someone on the same frequency as yourself. Cherish and keep in touch with these lovely kindred folks. Continue reading
The Powerful Art Of Daydreaming
I was frequently reprimanded in my school years for daydreaming. My eyes would glaze over as I gazed into the distance, and I know it amused other kids in class!
Research has revealed that brain activity actually increases for the day-dreamer, and, as our minds drift aimlessly, we access problem-solving areas of our grey matter.
I learned too, that our intuition is our imagination, so as our mind wanders, we allow creativity and psychic impressions to be channeled through from our higher selves, or from our spirit helpers.
Next time you have a big project to deliver, you may be surprised at the improved results should you allow your mind rest in between intense periods of concentration. We often get our most brilliant ideas when we are doing something mundane that takes little concentration, like taking a shower, for example. Continue reading
