Guidelines For Developing Your Psychic Talents
Maybe one of your resolutions this year is to develop existing psychic abilities, or to embark on a journey to find new ones? Great! But how do you get started? This can seem like a daunting task, but it’s actually easier than you think.
Like any talent, psychic ability can be practiced and improved. A good place to start is to simply become more mindful of your surroundings. Use all five senses. What are you tasting, smelling, hearing? Buy a small notebook and write down your observations, both from waking and in dreams. Chances are you’ll start to notice patterns. Take time every day to meditate in whatever way you choose. The Powerful Art Of Daydreaming
I was frequently reprimanded in my school years for daydreaming. My eyes would glaze over as I gazed into the distance, and I know it amused other kids in class!
Research has revealed that brain activity actually increases for the day-dreamer, and, as our minds drift aimlessly, we access problem-solving areas of our grey matter.
I learned too, that our intuition is our imagination, so as our mind wanders, we allow creativity and psychic impressions to be channeled through from our higher selves, or from our spirit helpers.
Next time you have a big project to deliver, you may be surprised at the improved results should you allow your mind rest in between intense periods of concentration. We often get our most brilliant ideas when we are doing something mundane that takes little concentration, like taking a shower, for example. Continue reading
Your Mental Garden
Our minds are like soil. We are constantly planting seeds of thought. If you could walk through your ‘mental garden’, what would you see growing there?
When I meditate early in the morning, I try and focus on a color to bring me to a quiet, relaxed state of mind. Today, I was thinking of the color green. I wanted to take a look at my inner garden, and nurture and fertilize it, and maybe do some weeding.
Walking through my garden, I asked that God help me to recognize my talents and abilities – those that I possibly never considered before. Maybe I can plant these new seeds f goodness, and continue to fertilize the ones that are already fruitful in my life. At the same time I will also be weeding out any bad seeds – the thoughts that are growing there that are not serving me or my highest good. Continue reading
Do You Drink The Water?
For as long as I can remember, I have absolutely hated the taste of water from the faucet. I’ve been saying for years, that I can taste the chemicals in it. So many of my friends and family have laughed at me, telling me I am crazy.
The taste and smell of water that comes out of my kitchen faucet, repulses me to the point that I refuse to drink it. I have found myself in the hospital for dehydration more times than I care to admit.
So, I began wondering… what chemicals are used to treat the water that we drink? Well, I found that it’s not so much the chemicals to clean the water that may be the problem. It is the fluoride that is added to our water. Continue reading
Simple Ways To Restore Daily Balance
Every day, I try to find balance in my life and put it into action, but sometimes it is hard to do. And sometimes it’s hard to see the whole picture of what you’re wanting to do, to have that sense of happiness and well-being in your life.
I find what works best to get me back on track is to center myself mentally first, before I take on any of the daily challenges of life. I admit that I often need a pop of the good old caffeine to get my mind and body going in the morning, but experience has taught me it is much more constructive to focus on something positive at that time. Connect With The Light
Why are so many people feeling depressed these days? One of the main reasons are the slower economy, and not enough time to do the things they want to do.
Many of us do not have enough time with family. Time is flying by too quickly and it’s easy to not be grounded and connected to the Light. Therefore, smiles too often turn to upside down happy faces!
When this happens it is important to get that time alone with yourself first, before you reach out to others. Take the time to get in alignment with who you are, and hear that quiet voice telling you what you really should be doing. With some solitude and contemplation we can make some course corrections in our lives and get the Light back in our lives. Continue reading
