Postcards From Spirit
Spirit messages often remind me of old-fashioned postcards and modern day text messages. As a child I loved receiving postcards from family and friends all over the world. Postcards were a way to see other places and how other people lived, before the era of texting and social media. Postcards were a way to send short messages just to say I’m thinking of you, similar to the way my grandchildren these days send each other short text messages… while they are in the same room!
Postcards and text messages have another similarity. Sometimes the messages are abbreviated and the person reading the message may not always understand exactly what the sender was really trying to say. And as it is sometimes necessary with postcards and texting, spirit messages often also require us to ‘connect the dots’ or read between the lines.
People may read or hear the same message, yet get several different meanings of what the sender was saying. This is one reason a person can have readings with several different psychics, mediums and diviners, and come away from them very confused, because the readers interpret messages differently. Psychic reading is often assumed to be synonymous with fortune-telling, and while they may seem similar on the surface they are in fact two very different practices. Why Do You Prefer One Psychic Over Another?
I sometimes wonder how it happens that a specific client would decide to pick me to do a reading for them. I have discovered over the years that the reasons vary as much as people’s personalities and their unique circumstances.
The most common reason is that a client will just relate more easily with a certain psychic’s personality. Professional psychics also tend to feel a much stronger connection with some people than with others. The possibilities are endless, the same way we easily relate to some people, while we just do not get along with others.

Fraudulent ‘psychics’ make reputable, honest psychics look bad. When I talk to my clients I treat them the same way I would want to be treated! I go out of my way to do this, because of the damage done by scam artists and fake psychics. My clients sometimes talk about other psychic websites and phone lines they had used in the past, and tell me of the unpleasant experiences they had using these services. The things they encounter there are often shocking.

Psychic DNA: Nature or Nurture?
It is my belief that psychic ability is an innate talent or gift aimed at a specific Life Calling, while intuition is a highly personal aspect of our inner spiritual guidance system. We all possess our own, natural intuition, whether we are conscious or unconscious of it – but not everyone is psychic.
Natural intuition is highly personal and mostly about taking care of our own personal needs. Psychic ability on the other hand shifts extra sensory perception from the personal sphere into the realm of the impersonal. Intuition is our direct inner guidance from our Divine Self towards achieving our unique Soul Purpose and Life Calling. Psychic ability on the other hand dwells in the realm of the selfless, prophetic and archetypal. Psychics, mediums and healers are channels, messengers, conduits or surrogates, which means that they do not only receive personal inner guidance from their own Divine Self, but they also have the capacity to receive and translate guidance on behalf of their fellow man. These perceptions or messages may come from the other person’s Higher Self, or courtesy of non-physical entities, or from the Divine Source, God, or Collective Unconscious.
