Past Lives Leave Emotional Imprints
I recently did a psychic reading for a lady who has a real fear of the ocean. Her fear extends to being a passenger in an aircraft flying high above the ocean, to being on the beachfront trying to relax to the sound of waves crashing along the shore-line. She had booked a session with me to see if we could discover the source of her deep-seated fear of the sea.
The answer to people’s emotional blocks often comes to me through imagery and sounds, which I receive in my mind’s eye. Sometimes scrying using the crystal ball, or Tarot images and symbols are a catalyst for insights which spirit shows me. Continue reading
Less Is More Equals Less Anxiety
I was meditating the other day, and really needed to too! The whole first half of the day I had frantically been running around. There were so many things I felt “I had to do”. But after meditating I realized that many of the things I was so obsessed with get done, was really pointless. The frenzied day I embarked on just resulted in less money in my pocket, and additional stress when I ran into someone I really was trying to avoid. That ended up giving me a tension headache.
I could have been doing something else, something more constructive, like sitting in my comfy couch meditating and enjoying the wonderful serene rainstorm. That storm was really awesome; I really enjoy them. Continue reading
Life After Life (Part 1 of 7) – Death
A question that has been on the minds of humans since they were able to contemplate their own mortality is, “What happens when we die?”
Spiritual and religious traditions give many answers to this particular quandary. There are contemplations about a heaven, or a place of bliss that exists after we die. Or maybe a hell, based on our actions in this lifetime, or our adherence to a particular religious system. Still other philosophies identify a reincarnation cycle that is associated with the human experience of life and death.
In this series I will be discussing my personal viewpoints about the subject, and why I have over the course of my life come to these conclusions. At a young age I had a near-death experience, and it was this particular experience that set me on the course to becoming an intuitive. Continue reading
In Our Own Time
We come in to this existence, and later depart, according to our own timeline. My husband and I recently observed the one year anniversary of our daughter Kathy’s passing. As painful as her death continues to be for us, it is none the less something we have no choice but to deal with.
Kathy was a private and reclusive person and did not have a lot of really close friends. However, the ones she did have were especially precious to her and she nourished and valued those friendships. I had a phone call recently from one of her friends, who is still struggling with Kathy’s passing. She and Kathy were definitely kindred spirits and they turned to each other frequently when times got especially trying. Continue reading
Elizabeth And Me
I’m running the sole of my foot over the top of her soft, furry coat – from the crown of her head, all the way down to where her tail begins. She arches and luxuriates in this gentle and soothing caress.
We have been sharing this deeply healing form of intimacy for nearly 14 years. Elizabeth was a Christmas gift from a dear friend. Since her puppy days, have never been apart for more than a few hours. Never for a night! Whether it be wood, stone, clay, molded bronze, copper, gold or any material that is totally solid and bonded – we are made of that. Our togetherness is my greatest pleasure. Gone Too Soon
When I was younger, I used to always love going to the cemetery. I just loved spending time there reading, or contemplating all the mysteries of life. I would connect with my higher consciousness and enjoy the silence. It is one of the few places I was able to disconnect and separate myself from the drama and chaos of the world, and embrace stillness and solitude.
I have started visiting the cemetery again recently, but this time with a heavy heart. I have been visiting the grave of a young child who crossed over way to soon.
A friend of a friend lost her son to a terrible accident, while playing in their yard. I had always felt something tragic was going to happen if a certain dangerous item was not removed from the yard. I had mentioned this on several occasions to our mutual friend, but sadly the necessary changes were never made. Continue reading
Communicating With Heaven
Many of us choose to see Heaven, the Afterlife, or Paradise, as a sort of “other world,” a place we will never be allowed to see or experience until we die. The truth is, we interact with the spiritual realm every day!
Our current plane of physical existence is but one of many other dimensions. We have the ability to send messages to the spirit world, and vice versa. Even our jaded culture recognizes this. Have you ever heard the song Pennies from Heaven? Or maybe you are familiar with the old saying that seeing a red cardinal bird means that a dead loved one is thinking of us? These are just two small examples of many interfaces with the afterlife. Heaven is constantly trying to talk to us, but we’re usually too busy or oblivious to even notice.
