Well, this time I want to warn you about another kind of psychic scam – fake psychics who are not only after your money, but who are also energy vampires. Yes, the main aim of this species of troll is to make you feel bad, upset you emotionally or send you into a state of depression… and then make you pay for it with cash.

Fraudulent ‘psychics’ make reputable, honest psychics look bad. When I talk to my clients I treat them the same way I would want to be treated! I go out of my way to do this, because of the damage done by scam artists and fake psychics. Psychic DNA: Nature or Nurture?
It is my belief that psychic ability is an innate talent or gift aimed at a specific Life Calling, while intuition is a highly personal aspect of our inner spiritual guidance system. We all possess our own, natural intuition, whether we are conscious or unconscious of it – but not everyone is psychic.
Natural intuition is highly personal and mostly about taking care of our own personal needs. Psychic ability on the other hand shifts extra sensory perception from the personal sphere into the realm of the impersonal. Intuition is our direct inner guidance from our Divine Self towards achieving our unique Soul Purpose and Life Calling. Psychic ability on the other hand dwells in the realm of the selfless, prophetic and archetypal. Psychics, mediums and healers are channels, messengers, conduits or surrogates, which means that they do not only receive personal inner guidance from their own Divine Self, but they also have the capacity to receive and translate guidance on behalf of their fellow man. These perceptions or messages may come from the other person’s Higher Self, or courtesy of non-physical entities, or from the Divine Source, God, or Collective Unconscious. 2011: Doom, Gloom And Celebrity Gossip
The year 2011 has kicked off with yet another batch of psychic predictions from all over the globe. It has become an annual tradition to predict as much doom and gloom as possible, and this year the custom was once again upheld with much enthusiasm and zeal.
The usual depressing prophecies and upcoming disasters were numerous this year, coupled with some mindless trivia about celebrities and movie stars. Why? Because bad news and gossip sells. It is what most people like to hear and it is what most people like to fear. Scientific studies have shown that people prefer bad news in the media. They find it more interesting, respond to it more often and remember it much longer. They also pass the news on to others at a much faster rate. Ol’ Boogeyman Still Comin’ To Getcha?
In my line of work there is often an unhealthy obsession with the concept of evil. It appears we are simply not able to rid ourselves of this ‘thing’ we seem to have for the boogeyman (here in my country known as the tokoloshe).
Just the other day I was listening to a radio psychic scaring the living daylights out of his unsuspecting caller. She just wanted some career advice, but instead he was hell-bent on convincing her that her home was infested with evil entities. His charming co-host also jumped in to offer some old-wives’ cures for getting rid of all the demonic forces. Truth be told, the only disturbance I was picking up on was the fact that the poor, freaked out woman would not be getting much sleep for weeks!
Now, don’t get me wrong. The struggle between good and evil is very, very real. It is a fundamental component of the human condition. It is also the basis of all Creation. It stems from the duality found in every important aspect of our expanding Universe: dark versus light, life versus death, night versus day. Why Don’t Psychics Win The Lottery?
Skeptics often ask why psychics don’t use their talents to predict the winning lottery numbers?
This question may have some merit in a stand-up comedy routine (I enjoy a clever joke as much as the next person), but once everyone has had their laugh, all that remains for me is a tragic reflection of the lack of spiritual depth, as well as the superficial materialism, of our society.
Interestingly, there have been several reports of psychics, or their clients, winning the lottery. This proves the lame old lottery joke is indeed a myth, but what is often far more significant is the actual circumstances surrounding these wins. Continue reading
