A Visit From Ken
When I was 21, I moved eight hours away from my home town. I left behind friends, family and a dance company I owned. It was a difficult decision, but I knew it was time to move to Los Angeles to become a performer.
One month after I moved, I received a phone call from my ex-boyfriend, Ron. Ron told me his uncle Ken had passed. I was horrified. I had not said goodbye to him and had not spoken to him since I moved.
I loved Ken. He was into reincarnation and metaphysics. We had many conversations about what happens when you cross over and what the afterlife was all about. We had read many of the same books and had the same philosophy of what the other side was like. I remember Ken’s great salads and dinners, and how he had really tried to make a family atmosphere for Ron and his little brother after he had adopted them. Shoes For The Wedding
After my mother passed away, my father eventually remarried. My stepmother gave me some stuff one day that my dad didn’t like. It was a pair of formal shoes and a tie. My dad thought it was ugly, but I did not mind.
So, I put the shoes and the tie in my closet. After my dad’s passing they gained sentimental value for me. Once in a while I would take out the shoes and tie, when I had to dress up for a special occasion, but in time I completely forgot about them. Then my brother asked me if I would I be his best man. He was getting married to a lady name Janice, who I predicted he would marry a year earlier during a psychic reading. At the time he said I was nuts! He was done with women. So, when this wedding came up I reminded him of the reading the previous year, and he said: “I hate to admit it, but you were right.” Continue reading
Afterlife Signs From The Dearly Departed
When someone close to us passes on they often give us signs to let us know that they are still around. Our loved ones are very eager to let us know that everything is fine with them when they cross over.
Those who have passed on still know what goes on in our daily lives and they still love us. They want us to know that. Not all of us can always sense them around us, that doesn’t mean they will not give us a sign.
These signs from the other side come in different ways, shapes and forms:
Animals & Insects
Loved ones often come to us in the form of an animal or other creature, from a butterflies and puppies to birds and wild animals. These animals might show up from nowhere, cross our path, call to us from outside, fly into a room, or even land on us! Finding Your Soul Purpose
Creating a Divine Life is not a selfish act. Until we are able to find some degree of personal joy, inner peace and lasting contentment, we are actually of little use to our fellow man. If we are to be effective as our proverbial “brother’s keeper”, which is essentially the foundation of our Life Calling, we need to first achieve a happier and more meaningful life for ourselves.
To create a Divine Life, it is important to differentiate between your Soul Purpose and Life Calling (also known as your Life Purpose). I prefer to use the term Life Calling, because Life Purpose is often confused with the concept of Soul Purpose. A prevalent misconception is that Soul Purpose and Life Purpose describe the same thing, and therefore the two terms are often interchanged. Animal Spirits
Earlier this year my cat, Tigger, passed away after reaching the advanced age of 21. I had Tigger in my life since 1993 and he was more than a pet. He was like my son who was always there when I came home from work.
In the month leading up to his death I kept seeing his spirit leaving his body. What was weird is that I also kept seeing shadows of two cats that looked a lot like him.
Over the years I have seen several animal spirits of family pets that I grew up with. In these moments I could sometimes also hear different family members calling for the animals by name. I heard my parents call my childhood animals, and I even heard my grandparents, aunts and uncles who had passed away. Continue reading
The Mysterious Lady In The Hallway
Dreams have also been a big part of my life since a very young age. No matter how long ago I had them, I still remember some of them as if it were yesterday.
I had a vivid, recurring dream starting about five years ago. There was this lady, I guess she was in her early 60’s, and she was standing in a hallway. She was looking at me very peacefully. It was a little weird, because it was not my mother or grandmother or someone I knew.
For many years I wondered who this lady might be. Eventually it stopped, I guess for about a year, but all of a sudden she was back in my dreams and this time she began to talk to me. She would ask if had seen her brother, John? Very odd indeed, since I have a brother named John. It made no sense.
Time went on and the dream grew more intense, until finally in the last dream I saw the back of a man, his hair was silver and he was kind of short. The mystery lady walked up to him and said: “John! I have missed you since I had passed.” Continue reading
Life After Death
I remember going to my first funeral. We traveled a few states away to attend this. My mother’s uncle had passed and they felt it was okay I attend. I was pretty upset only a few years before, because I didn’t get to go to my grandpa’s funeral. I was in kindergarten and remember feeling left out in that I couldn’t say goodbye.
I remember it like it was yesterday, looking at the casket as he lay there, and his wife crying over him and his sisters, all aged of course, they must have been in their 60’s. Being a typical Italian family, they were in the back talking about his life and trying to make things right, and going over past negative arguments and trying to make sense of his passing, and trying to find peace in it.
I remember, while observing all of this chaos, thinking to myself that he is here; he is observing us and watching his funeral. I felt he was at the foot of his coffin. I could see a figure once I focused my eyes, and I realized he was in fact not dead – his energy was alive! Continue reading
