Would You Rather Be Right, Or Happy?
A recent unethical experience with a large company prompted me to ask a few people from various walks of life if they would rather be right, or happy? Most, including my husband, said they would definitely prefer to be right! The unpleasant incident caused me stress and considerable expense, but in the end, I’m glad I chose the latter – to be happy.
I purchased a power generator with a twenty hour backup at an ultimate cost of about $2,300 dollars, including installation and subsequent lawyer fees. I dealt with a salesperson at the retail outlet who told me the unit was too simple to warrant them installing it, and that if I could use a laptop, I could install the unit myself by following the instructions on a compact disc. The Bridge
One of my clients once had dreams about a bridge she had never seen before, and many years later I saw the same bridge when she contacted me for a psychic reading. It turned into a very unusual reading. I brought stuff up on what I was seeing that had nothing to do with the actual reading my client originally requested.
For some reason I kept seeing cows around her? I also heard a bell in the distance. It was not a cow bell; it sounded more like an old church bell that was out of tune. And I could see heavy rain, as if a storm was ready to hit, and the wind was blowing really hard where you could not see in front of you. I also felt the need to encourage her to be careful if she goes any place… to please be careful. Continue reading
Nobody Deserves To Be Happy!
Many self-help gurus will espouse the virtues, the sheer righteousness if you will, of deserving to be happy. You deserve to be happy? What does this truly even mean? (meant to be read in a most sarcastic tone of voice with a slight touch of incredulity thrown in for good measure).
I take umbrage, I cry foul to this so called deservedness. What makes you so special? For that matter, what makes me so special? None of us deserve to be happy any more so than the next guy or girl.
People, living breathing people, are being subjected to atrocities all over our planet in ways that some of us cannot even bear to think about, because we’d never sleep cozy in our beds at night if we did. Aren’t these people deserving of this ‘happiness’ also? They often times don’t experience it, because of someone else’s pursuit of happiness. Continue reading
Old Green Eyes – The Ghost of Chickamauga
The American Civil War was fought 150 years ago, yet people remain fascinated with its history. As it turns out, the battlefield said to be the most haunted is located right here in the South, not too far from where I live.
Chickamauga, on the border of Tennessee and Georgia, takes its name from a Native American word meaning “bloody river.” It was the second bloodiest battle of the war after Gettysburg, so the name turned out to be quite fitting.
Many ghosts, including those of a Confederate soldier and a bride-to-be pining for her lost fiancée, have been spotted at Chickamauga. But the most famous legend, “Old Green Eyes,” may not even be a traditional ghost at all. Legends surrounding the spirit go back to the Cherokee and Creek tribes who originally lived in the area. They tell of a large-bodied creature, or sometimes a floating head, with sharp fangs and glowing green eyes. Continue reading
Beware Of Psychic Scams With An Ominous Twist
In some of my previous blogs I wrote about fake psychics wanting to get their hands on your hard-earned money. Well, this time I want to warn you about another kind of psychic scam – fake psychics who are not only after your money, but who are also energy vampires. Yes, the main aim of this species of troll is to make you feel bad, upset you emotionally or send you into a state of depression… and then make you pay for it with cash.
Recently, I had a client who called me about a man that she really cares about. She had first gone to a ‘psychic reader’ who works close to her hometown. This ‘psychic’ told her some really nasty stuff that upset her tremendously, it sent her into an emotional tailspin. She then searched for a reputable psychic service online and ended up calling me for a second opinion at PsychicAccess.com. Continue reading
Do You Drink The Water?
For as long as I can remember, I have absolutely hated the taste of water from the faucet. I’ve been saying for years, that I can taste the chemicals in it. So many of my friends and family have laughed at me, telling me I am crazy.
The taste and smell of water that comes out of my kitchen faucet, repulses me to the point that I refuse to drink it. I have found myself in the hospital for dehydration more times than I care to admit.
So, I began wondering… what chemicals are used to treat the water that we drink? Well, I found that it’s not so much the chemicals to clean the water that may be the problem. It is the fluoride that is added to our water. Continue reading
