The True Meaning Of Bliss
I have been contemplating how often a friend’s photo on social media, a call from a customer, an advertisement, the written word, or an overheard phrase has triggered a really significant memory for me. This was the case again last night, when the word “bliss” featured in a commercial for chocolate on my TV screen. For some reason this prompted a memory from many years ago.
I was working temporarily in a retirement home as a caregiver. Although I didn’t have long-term plans to remain in that job, I loved working with the old people, and used to give them reflexology treatments and healing massages in my free time. The short treatments gave them great relief, and they began asking if I would come back and help them again.
This caused a lot of animosity with the rest of the staff, who were already unfriendly towards me. They made it clear that I was not ‘one of them’. I was the outsider, and not from ‘their village.’ The home’s matron asked me to stop doing any healing or therapeutic work with the residents, because it was not in my job description. Where Do We Go After This Life?
Where do we go to after this lifetime? This is a fundamental question many of us would like to have answered by spirit. I asked this for myself some time ago and found out that when I leave this plane some day, I will be going to a place called “Sanatch.” No other information was forthcoming, so I have no idea where that is, or what it is I will be doing there.
I was also able to see where some of the people in my life will be heading to next. Some have meanwhile departed and are now entrenched into their new existence.
My sister, Alfreda, went to work at the tender age of 15, which was typical in the early 50’s. She worked for a large jewelry store called Burk’s, which is still in existence today. As a part of her duties she would go to different floors of the store using the elevator system. On one such an excursion Alfreda met a good-looking, and very friendly young man named Andre, and as they say the rest was history. Continue reading
Helping Each Other On Our Spiritual Journey
At some point in our lives we all cross paths with an individual who has a more profound effect on us than anybody else ever will. Sometimes these memorable encounters are due to something someone said at a critical phase in our lives, and their words then echo on in the years ahead. Or it may be a kindness someone shows us unexpectedly.
Such was the effect of a fascinating man I met more than 20 years ago. Paul is an esoteric counselor and I studied palmistry with him, as well as having past life regression under his supervision. Out-Of-Body Experience, Or Astral Travelling?
Out-of-body experience (OBE) is more generally known as astral travel or astral projection in esoteric circles. Many individuals find astral traveling helpful with their own personal development. They use this technique to visit places they would otherwise be unable to visit, or to meet up with loved ones on the other side. Astral travel is also a powerful way to meet up with your spirit guides, to visit future lives, and even for what is termed as “exploring the universe.”
Now and again, my cynical husband will let me in on some of his more ‘other worldly’ experiences over the years. The most recent revelation was about how he used to leave his body at will. Elizabeth And Me
I’m running the sole of my foot over the top of her soft, furry coat – from the crown of her head, all the way down to where her tail begins. She arches and luxuriates in this gentle and soothing caress.
We have been sharing this deeply healing form of intimacy for nearly 14 years. Elizabeth was a Christmas gift from a dear friend. Since her puppy days, have never been apart for more than a few hours. Never for a night! Whether it be wood, stone, clay, molded bronze, copper, gold or any material that is totally solid and bonded – we are made of that. Our togetherness is my greatest pleasure. Exploring Your Past Lives
Because the life we’re now living is one of only countless past and future lifetimes our soul will experience, there will be times when we experience the strange sense of déjà vu. We all have those moment when we feel that we’ve been somewhere, seen something, or met someone before, even when that seems impossible. And we probably have!
Although our conscious mind does not remember the events of a past life, our body (in fact, science tells us, our very cells) do remember. This phenomenon can appear in different forms. Some of us may be drawn to a particular culture or language, even if we’ve never been there. For example, you may be American, but feel an affinity for all things Japanese. Perhaps certain smells or tastes will trigger a subconscious past life memory. In this life, we experience only one set of sensory inputs. I love to do dream interpretation for my clients, but many people complain that they do not remember their dreams. I can assure you that a moonstone under your pillow will remedy that quite quickly. It will have you dreaming in ways that you have never dreamed before. Your dreams will be clearer, more memorable and you may even feel like recording your dreams.
Recording your dreams can be very useful. They always contain information that can help you in your life, they reflect what is going on in our lives in many profound ways. For example, I have a client who asked me about someone she hasn’t seen in a while. She never told me that he had passed on, but when I went in it soon became clear this is a man who was no longer in this life.
