The Year Of The Snake
Happy New Year! Today heralds the beginning of the Chinese Year of the Snake. Each year in the Chinese Zodiac New Year’s day falls on a different date, and this year’s date is February 10, 2013.
The Snake Year comes sixth in the cycle of the zodiac and reoccurs every 12th year. This means that you are a Snake if you were born in 1941, 1953, 1965, 1989 or 2001. Ancient Chinese wisdom states that if you have a snake in your house your family will never go hungry, because a snake is said to be sage, wise and a good protector of his or her family’s belongings and home.

The Calling Cards Of Spirit Whispers
I was thirteen years old, and out walking with my father when he said, “I want to talk to you about something”. I thought, “Oh no, is this going to be a talk about the birds and the bees!” And then he began, not a talk about the facts of life, but a little chat about what he called ‘The Spooks’.
My dad spoke about his conversion from atheist to spiritualist some ten years earlier. He told me how my mother had taken a bet with him and he lost. Losing meant he would have to accompany her to a spiritualist church in London. He went to the spiritualist church one Sunday night when Joseph Benjamin, a well-known medium, was on the platform.
Even standing right at the back didn’t stop this medium homing in on my father with a message from his recently deceased father. The message blew my dad away, especially when through Joseph Benjamin he was getting told off by his father about the way the tools he’d inherited were rusting away with neglect in the shed, amongst other things. I’ve written many blogs about psychic issues, spirituality, God, The Goddess, The Universe and so forth. The more answers I get the more questions arise. And I am always learning and being shown new ways, paths and messages. This is one of those messages.
We ask so often, “Why does this happen? What is the answer? Why did he hurt me?” I have at times also asked these questions, because I am human after all. Anything I teach I have learned the lesson myself – very often the hard way! But I have found that for many questions, ultimately, there are few answers. Assisted By Two Spirit Guides
Have you ever wondered how many spirit guides you have? Do you sometimes wonder if they help you in your personal life?
Well, I discovered a couple of weeks ago, when I had a client call me, how important a role our guides can play in our daily lives. The client had ask me to let my spirit guide choose the deck of cards for her and what happened was quite remarkable.
Many of my regular clients know I that I am assisted by my spirit guide Lisa in a lot in my psychic readings. But she usually does not choose the deck of cards. I always have the client choose the deck.
Well, on this occasion, when I started to flip the cards over I noticed that the cards gave off another type of energy compared to what I am usually seeing. When the client and me started to talk about her reading even she was really shocked, as much as I was, the way the reading had taken on an unusual twist. Prophets And Prophecies
All through the pages of history we find instances of prophets and prophecies.
The word ‘prophecy’ is derived from the Greek word prophemi; pro meaning ‘before’ and phemi meaning ‘to tell’. Thus, prophecy means to foretell what will happen in the future, or to divine or interpret.
Prophecy is one of the many gifts of a psychic and is of much value to humanity. All psychics are prophets.
Today we have valuable prophets among our psychics and many whose prophecies have manifested to the letter.

Addiction And The Calling
If my spiritual calling was masked by addiction once upon time, how many other people could also be masking their calling with such escapism?
As a recovering alcoholic, addictive behavior is something I know all too well – together with the co-dependency behavior that inevitably surrounds the addict. I actually credit my experience with alcohol, and the realization that there is no escape that way, as leading up to me heeding my calling. My life purpose was to work for spirit, and any time not being in touch with that calling left a huge void, or ‘hole in my soul’ type of feeling within me.
My initial training into the mystical was in the African tradition, whereby one is selected by the ancestors and called to the task of healer, priest, counselor and diviner. Channeling and the ancient art of throwing and interpreting the bones are used as forms of divination in this tradition. Continue reading
