How will today’s full moon affect you? Many therapists and doctors will tell you they notice severely emotional, erratic and bizarre behaviors from some of their patients during a full moon. Studies also point to anecdotal evidence of higher rates of crime, emergency room admissions and surgical mistakes during a full moon.
There have even been reputable studies about the effects of the moon on human behavior. One of the more convincing studies on lunar madness showed that pets are more likely to be admitted to the vet with injuries after a full moon. One study published in the British Medical Journal stated that bites from animals were twice as frequent in a British emergency room during a full moon.
Police officers also swear crimes go up and become more bizarre during full moons. It is often the topic of conversation in precincts. I do not believe it is a coincidence that the tales of the werewolf all occur during a full moon!
The moon controls the water and tides of planet Earth. About 71 percent of the Earth’s surface is water-covered, and the oceans hold about 96.5 percent of all Earth’s water. Water also exists in the air as water vapor, in creeks, lakes and rivers, as well as in icecaps and glaciers, and in the ground as soil moisture. So, the fact that the moon has such a strong affect on the water of our planet, shows the deep impact she has on all of Earth and her creatures, who are also made of large amounts of water. Forest bathing, or tree bathing, is a lost healing art much needed in this era of technology. It is a powerful, natural healing tool for cleansing the aura and chakras, and it doesn’t cost anything. The Japanese call it Shinrin-Yoku, or ‘forest medicine.’
Tree bathing is to allow the trees and plants to filter your energy, like they filter the air – in with the good, pure and new… and out with the toxic thoughts and feelings of anger and fear. There is a tremendous benefit to being in nature without having to achieve, compete, accomplish, or do something.
Trees are believed to have a secret language they use to communicate with each other. This language helps to heal us when we become part of their energy and communication. You’re crazy, that never happened. You’re too sensitive. You’re making things up. No one else has ever said that about me. I get along with everyone else except you. I’ve never had this problem with anyone else but you. Everyone says you’re crazy. I’m not cheating, so maybe you are… since you are accusing me. You are too sensitive.
These are just some of the things you might hear when someone is gaslighting you, when you have confronted them with their own issues or manipulations.
Gaslighting is a form of abuse that is more common in romantic relationships, but it can occur in landlord and tenant relationships, friendships, employee and employer relationships, and even in relationships with neighbors. It is basically the art of messing with someone’s mind or reality. Sometimes it is done in an obvious way, right in front of the person, and sometimes it is under the radar and you don’t you know who is gaslighting you, or even if you are actually being gaslighted. This Time I Won!
About 15 years ago, I was house hunting for my second home. I found a place in a remote community in the woods. It was my dream home. It was like a fairy house, complete with a creek running through the yard.

The Last Days Of Mercury Retrograde
In recent weeks, you might have experienced the chaotic effect Mercury can have on our lives, since it went retrograde on August 12th.
Mercury is the planet of communication and technology. So, when Mercury is in retrograde, everything involving communication and technology tend to go haywire: flight delays; errors with online passwords; taxi drivers showing up at the wrong time and place; people arguing over nonsense; constant traffic jams; computer crashes; drama and gossip at the office; misunderstandings with friends; or text messages delivered to the wrong person (who also happened to be the person the text was about).
Mercury passes the Earth in its orbit three or four times every year. As it makes it rounds, Mercury appears to slow down, stop in its tracks and then spin backwards. This retrograde ‘movement’ lasts a few weeks, until the planet turns direct again and continues to move forward. Continue reading
