Our angels and spirit guides never want to see us feeling down or suffering, whether it is emotionally, physically, mentally, or spiritually.  They are always there to celebrate the good times with us, but they are also there to support and guide in our worst times. Spirit simply loves us unconditionally, no matter what is going on.

I strongly recommend taking a few minutes tevery day to shut out the noise of the world, as well as your own negative self-talk, to be still and open yourself to inner guidance from spirit. Go within to listen to spirit. Shift your awareness out of your heart and mind and into your gut to find your inner spiritual truth.

I speak to my guides daily as part of my spiritual practice. I usually ask them what they recommend I accomplish today, or what direction would be most beneficial for my highest good. I always receive an answer.

Mostly it comes through as a clear inner knowing or gut feeling. At times I receive it as a vivid thought, or an inspired idea, or a clairvoyant glimpse of something or someone significant that will cross my path.

I find get the best results with the answers I get from spirit after a few minutes of my tried and trusted breathwork exercise. I do the same preparation when reading for others and I also use it at times to clear energy blockages from my chakras.

It only takes about five minutes and is something that anyone can do daily to increase spiritual awareness and decrease inner noise and mental clutter. I have seen many of my clients thrive once they included this technique in their daily practice.

Each one of us has an internal support system that is infinitely wise and helpful for guiding our lives.  In order to establish an effective relationship with this inner network we must learn to slow down, turn inward, pause, and listen for the subtle messages ~ James Strohl

1. Sit in a quiet place with your feet flat on the ground and hands relaxed on your lap. Do not cross your legs or arms. Be physically open.

2. Close your eyes and become completely relaxed.

3. Begin to breathe more deeply and steadily, like a pump. Breathe in and through your mouth only.

4. Continue breathing for a few minutes. Breathe in love, and breathe out negativity, clutter, fear, anger, or whatever may not be serving your Highest good at this time.

5. For the final minute, switch in your mind to only breathing in love, and breathing out love.

6. Once you are finished and with your eyes still closed, give yourself a hug and say, “I love myself unconditionally, and I am perfectly perfect as I am.

7. Now open your eyes and ask your question. To avoid potential confusion or misinterpretation, it is best to ask spirit only one question per session, unless you are an experienced, skilled intuitive.

Calmly listen for what inner guidance comes to you first. The first spontaneous impression or perception is usually the right one. Keep your own thoughts and feelings out of it. The mind and heart always has ‘what if’s’. The gut however calls it like it is. Truly listen with an open mind and heart, and pay attention to the message, as you may not always like what spirit is saying.

If you are new to intuitive guidance work you may not immediately get the results you expect, but be patient and keep practicing consistently. You will soon start to get more clarity and direction. Learning to trust in the guidance we receive from spirit is a wonderful blessing.

True spiritual guidance never flatters or chastises the receiver and never demands obedience. It merely recommends a choice or course of action and leaves the person free to decide whether to follow it. It is intelligent and inspirational, and usually it is short and to the point ~ Corinne McLaughlin and Gordon Davidson

I you feel like you have already tried this kind of a ‘thousand times’ before, and still get nothing, I invite you to reconsider if this the truth? Have you really done it a thousand times in a row, or is it more like a few times?

Have you been consistent and did you truly listen with an open heart and mind? Or did you allow your conscious mind to control your subconscious?  Did you honestly listen with my gut, or did your ego add its two cents?

Did you appreciate what came to you, or were you frustrated or angry because it was not what you wanted to hear?  Our angels and guides do not give us what we want to hear, they simply give us what we need to hear for our highest good, and sometimes that is the complete opposite of what we expected.
