Astrology Forecast December 13 – 19, 2021
It will be a free-for-all today as Mercury moves into Capricorn and Mars dances into Sagittarius! With both of these personal planets changing into different signs at the same time, we may feel a bit conflicted, as Mars in Sagittarius wants to play, while Mercury in Capricorn reminds us there’s lots of work to do! Finding a balance between the two can be tricky, so good luck with that!
The Aries Moon square Pluto in Capricorn will also not be helping the situation today, as this constellation can cause us to be passive, dreamy and distracted. Be careful not to lose yourself in wishful thinking or imprudent daydreams.
Fortunately, we can get a lot more done tomorrow and Wednesday with the Moon traveling through grounded and determined Taurus. Then we can relax and have fun as the Moon moves through Gemini Thursday through Saturday, culminating in a Gemini Full Moon, also called the Cold Moon. This Full Moon is great for releasing old ideas or seeking new ways to address old issues, whether they be health-related, how to make more money, or how to fix that annoying drip in the bathroom sink.
Also, beware the Gemini Full Moon’s potential for making us moody and irritable. Avoid conflict with loved ones this weekend, as peace and harmony may be hard to come by under this lunar influence.
Venus will turn retrograde on Sunday and travel backward through the end of January 2022, taking us on a journey down memory lane and asking us to reevaluate our priorities, what we love, as well as what we envision for our lives, and why.
Shine Your Heart Light This Holiday Season
Times have been tough this year. The alignment of the stars have not been overly kind to most of us. Public health crises, economy, politics, mayhem. And in this atmosphere relationships are even tougher than ever to navigate, especially with Venus and Pluto aligning in Scorpio.
My beloved dad, who passed twelve years ago, often said, “It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.” Situations or people may appear hopeless and dark in these times, but it is important to remember that even the smallest flicker of just one tiny candle can shine a light for others to hold on to. Astrologer Pam Gregory, reminds us to breath into our heart centers, to raise our vibrations. In doing so, each one of us can be that tiny candle, flickering in the dark.
The holidays will bring families together. But holidays can either be celebratory occasion of merriment and cheer… or a war zone of toxic viewpoints and unwelcome meddling. It can often be an unresolved issues ‘free-for-all.’ A nosy sibling might tell you what they think, while you did not ask their opinion! Or, Uncle Bob may dip a little too frequently into the spiked eggnog, drowning all the fa-la-la in his wake.
It occurs to me now that the happy Bing Crosby tune Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate The Positive I heard on the radio earlier was no accident.
You’ve got to accentuate the positive
Eliminate the negative
Latch on to the affirmative
Don’t mess with Mister In-Between
You’ve got to spread joy up to the maximum
Bring gloom down to the minimum
Have faith or pandemonium
Liable to walk upon the scene
Astrology Forecast December 6 – 12, 2021
A peaceful week awaits as we move forward with renewed confidence and faith in the future.
We’ll do our best work today under the Capricorn Moon, so we’ll need to arrange our agenda for the week so that the most pressing obligations on our list are taken care of today. Fortunately, an early Capricorn Moon trine Uranus in Taurus inspires us with heightened focus, ambition, and persuasive charm this morning, while the Mars in Scorpio sextile Pluto in Capricorn will boost our confidence, assertiveness, and determination over the next three days.
Tomorrow and Wednesday unfold under an Aquarius Moon, bringing our humanitarian interests to the forefront. Friendships need to be attended to, as some things may have fallen by the wayside, and if there are any connections we feel ready to leave behind for whatever reason, now is the time to consider walking away. The Aquarius Moon conjunction Jupiter in Aquarius on Thursday may bring some financial gains and social success.
The Moon will travel through Pisces on Thursday through Saturday, evoking our spiritual and artistic interests. This is an ideal time to get busy if you’re planning on making holiday gifts for loved ones, as creative energy will prevail. It’s also an ideal time for some personal introspection to evaluate, eliminate and reconfigure what we value and what we are ready to release.
Sunday’s Aries Moon will encourage us to cast heavy energy aside and have some fun!
Astrology Forecast November 29 – December 5, 2021
Restoring order and balance are on the cards today and tomorrow as the Moon travels through harmony and equilibrium seeking Libra. It is a much-needed blessing for starting this week on a high note, as the rest of the week may prove scattered and chaotic at best!
Neptune turns direct on Wednesday and may ‘burst some bubbles’ in its wake, taking the wind out of our sails and tossing a dose of reality our way. Take heart though, as the truth will always set us free, and moving forward under false illusions will only keep you from your goals.
Wednesday’s Scorpio Moon will douse us with its intense, passionate energy. Take special care to remain self aware, as this lunar energy could bring out the best and worst of our innate Scorpio traits and tendencies, ranging from loyalty, authenticity, passion and charisma to moodiness, brooding, vindictiveness or being a control freak.
Mercury will enter Aquarius on Thursday, which will continue the ‘facing facts’ trend by shifting our thinking where fantasy and reality may be clashing. These aspects are set to prepare us for the effects of a second of two lunar eclipses we are currently experiencing. The second eclipse is happening this Saturday under a Sagittarius New Moon. This will inspire us to set a new course for the next six months, one that is grounded in reality, but based in the heart!
Take Sunday off to regroup under the Capricorn Moon, as we will probably need some ‘down time’ to process all we’ve learned and experienced over the last few weeks.
Astrology Forecast November 22 – 28, 2021
This week we are officially celebrating Thanksgiving in the USA, but a sense of gratitude and appreciation are also likely to be felt globally all week long as the Sun moves deeper into Sagittarius.
Suitably, a Cancer Moon today and tomorrow, makes our main focus home, family and tradition as we prepare for the upcoming holiday on Thursday. Preparing for the first official holiday of the season will likely be more gratifying and joyful than the event itself, so feel free to dive right into creating the perfect backdrop to Thanksgiving gatherings.
Mercury will move into Sagittarius on Wednesday, just in time for the festivities. Communication, self-expression, reconnecting with loved ones from afar and general sharing of past memories will be a theme from now through the end of the year.
Wednesday’s Leo Moon square Uranus in Taurus can cause some of us to be unpredictable, restless and fickle, which can lead to unnecessary disruption in our personal life and romantic relationships. To make matters worse, the Leo Moon opposite Saturn in Aquarius can cause us to be dissatisfied with life in general, melancholic or even depressed. We could easily feel lonely and abandoned.
The Leo Moon will also have some people shopping the sales this week, while others choose to focus on self-care and regrouping after a hectic week. That’s a good idea too, because the weekend unfolds under a Virgo Moon, where we’ll be busy making plans for the holiday season ahead. Lists and more lists will be the order of the day, but in between all that planning, be sure to stop here and there to smell the roses and give thanks for the blessings in your life.
Becoming Aware Of Psychic Signs
We often get so caught up in the technical aspects of divination, in the textbook definitions of our methods and tools, and in the intellectual pursuit of spiritual wisdom and esoteric knowledge gleaned from scholars, teachers and gurus, that we forget to employ the most basic of all techniques: our own awareness and observation of signs and synchronities in our environment.
Now, I’m not questioning book-learning, and the like. Studying our metaphysical craft is a necessary scaffolding on which to build a solid practice. It takes many years for the apprentice to become an expert. And after much practice, the diviner finds a comfortable stride, with their unique voice and style of practicing being sought after by clients who resonate with their unique skills.
The more we practice the esoteric arts, the more intuitive and attuned we become, and a wonderful blending occurs between right-brain and left-brain awareness. This is how we increasingly deliver powerful messages and truths to our clients. This is why it is indeed important to have the foundational training, and the necessary skills and life experience, to offer solid advice and guidance.
But, it also extremely important to be mindful and pay attention to our environment at all times. Not every moment in a reading can always be a profound channeled truth for the client. Sometimes the messages come in much subtler tones that we must tune into in order to appreciate their significance.
Something as simple as the sunlight bursting through a cloud at the moment a question is asked, or the sudden twinkling laughter of a neighbor, can deliver increased awareness to the diviner from her environment.
Balancing Sun And Moon Energies
The Sun and Moon have very different metaphysical energies and we are strongly affected by both. For example, a circumstance or event that might make you sad during the day, may completely wipe you out emotionally at night. This is because our hormones shift at night.
I worked for many years teaching prenatal Yoga and helping expectant moms. Their emotions typically ran very high at night. Their concerns about labor was latent in their thoughts during the day, but at night they would sometimes become terrified. Most women also go into labor at night and give birth during the day.
Things become surreal at night. I believe our hormones, the Moon’s energy, and a lessened ability to see in the darkness all greatly affect us.
At night, the right side of the brain is dominant. This is our spiritual, intuitive, subconscious, feminine side. During the day, the left hemisphere of the brain is dominant. This is our practical, thinking, productive physical, masculine side.
The left side of the body is controlled by the right hemisphere of the brain and is Sun-based, while the right side of the body is controlled by the left hemisphere and is Moon based. The Moon exudes feminine energy. The feminine rules the right side of the brain, which is the maternal, emotional, creative, dreamy side. The Sun rules the left side of the brain, which is the paternal side which rules logic, production, protection, and work.
When you are having difficulty sleeping it is usually because the left hemisphere of the brain has kicked in when it should be inactive. This is when you start thinking about all the things you need to do the next day, or the stressful challenges you faced the day prior.
