Two White Butterflies From Spirit

We receive many signs from spirit, sometimes without realizing it. Most often these signs are from our loved ones beyond the veil to reassure, guide and comfort us. Sometimes they are from our guides or angels.

I frequently do readings for clients who suspect they have had such an experience, but they still seek confirmation that it was real when they are not sure if it may just have been their imagination.

Sometimes a client will also ask for my interpretation of a repetitive sign they have been noticing. They seek information about who it might have been, or they wish to know if spirit is trying to warn them, or teach them something.

Signs can take many forms. It usually presents in a way that will appeal to you personally, based on your personality, lifestyle, and spiritual beliefs. It might be a bird repetitively showing up to tap on your window, or frequently seeing butterflies or dragonflies. Another common sign is repeatedly seeing the same numbers, words, or names.

Last weekend, I asked for a sign of confirmation from spirit. With all the energy shifts currently happening in my life, it’s reassuring to know I have the support of my guides, angels, and loved ones on the other side.

I asked for a sign early Sunday morning, before I set out to walk my dogs. I did not have to wait very long! Minutes into the walk, two beautiful, white butterflies appeared, as if from nowhere, and remained within arm’s reach. They were doing a cheerful dance in line with my heart center for the remainder of the walk, and they only left once I had reached the gate to my home.

A white butterfly is said to be a very positive sign or omen. It is traditionally a sign of peace, personal transformation, and indicative that one is growing stronger in one’s ability to communicate with spirit.

Synchronistically, in addition to asking for a sign from spirit, I had also been thinking lately of two loved ones in spirit, who just couldn´t get along while they were on this earth plane. I have often wondered if they had somehow reconciled on the other side, or made some sort of peace with one another? I am intuitively convinced that the two butterflies I saw was a sign to confirm it.

Not only is it clear to me now that my two feuding relatives have indeed ‘buried the hatchet,’ but they are now watching over me, together. After all, white is commonly recognized as a color that symbolizes peace, because it represents the clarity, calm, and innocence associated with a peaceful state. It also represents purity, honesty, and starting on a clean slate.

This was a profound sign for me, and I am very grateful for it. I also feel that they were letting me know that, although I was currently going through my own transformation, there were some positive changes ahead in my life, and that I will ultimately reap the rewards of my current efforts.

It is important to know that we do not have to wait for signs to show up. We can also ask for a sign whenever we need guidance, confirmation or reassurance. It is however important to then stay open, aware, and patiently wait for the answer. A sign may also come in an unexpected way, so it is vital to pay careful attention.

In my experience our loved ones are around us whenever we as much as think of them, so imagine what a happy memory of them can do for them. Yes, our loved ones in spirit also need our love and support from this side of the veil. Spirit support is a two-way street.

Even if a loved one used to be ‘difficult’ or ‘challenging’ in this life, simply thinking of them in a loving, positive way, or celebrating a happy memory of them, also brings them joy and helps them to evolve and progress in the afterlife. I like to think of it as a ‘win-win’ situation, bringing peace, joy, love, and spiritual growth to both sides of the veil.
