Divination

Throwing The Bones

Get a FREE psychic reading right now at PsychicAccess.comBefore studying various Western disciplines of healing and divination, I undertook training to become a Sangoma some 30 years ago, on the borders of Mozambique and Kwazulu Natal in Southern Africa. A Sangoma can be described as the African equivalent of the Native American shaman.

To some uninformed Westerners, indigenous African methods of divining often bring up thoughts of witchcraft, but just like there is good and bad in all cultures and professions, the true essence of the African diviner or shaman is a spiritual one of seeking advice through the wise Ancestors. Just as Western diviners would rely upon their spirit guides to give them guidance, so would the African diviner rely upon the Ancestors.

My Sangoma training came about after I consulted another Sangoma and was told it was my calling to become a Sangoma myself. I was further informed that until I took up this calling, I would repetitively become ill – and how right she was! Continue reading

Prophets And Prophecies

Get a FREE psychic reading right now at PsychicAccess.comAll through the pages of history we find instances of prophets and prophecies.

The word ‘prophecy’ is derived from the Greek word prophemi; pro meaning ‘before’ and phemi meaning ‘to tell’.  Thus, prophecy means to foretell what will happen in the future, or to divine or interpret.

Prophecy is one of the many gifts of a psychic and is of much value to humanity. All psychics are prophets.

Today we have valuable prophets among our psychics and many whose prophecies have manifested to the letter.

However, after receiving a prophecy, be practical about it. In fact, make an effort to apply your common sense and power of reasoning to every message or prediction you receive. Continue reading

Can Anyone Learn The Tarot?

Get a FREE psychic reading right now at PsychicAccess.comDuring this past week alone, several people from different walks of life have asked me this very question. Yes, anyone can learn, but as some of my Tarot students have shown, it’s the passion you have for Tarot that makes the difference, and that can turn someone into a reader with a difference.

Tarot readings can be used for one’s personal growth only, or for doing readings for self and others. Often individuals learn the Tarot of their own volition, paying particular attention to its imagery and symbolism, as they develop their skill with practice, practice, and more practice.

Once they feel they can trust their higher selves and spirit guides, and feel they are being directed to the symbols and imagery in Tarot, which will kick start the required information to be revealed, they will be confident to do Tarot readings. Continue reading

Addiction And The Calling

Get a FREE psychic reading right now at PsychicAccess.comIf my spiritual calling was masked by addiction once upon time, how many other people could also be masking their calling with such escapism?

As a recovering alcoholic, addictive behavior is something I know all too well – together with the co-dependency behavior that inevitably surrounds the addict. I actually credit my experience with alcohol, and the realization that there is no escape that way, as leading up to me heeding my calling. My life purpose was to work for spirit, and any time not being in touch with that calling left a huge void, or ‘hole in my soul’ type of feeling within me.

My initial training into the mystical was in the African tradition, whereby one is selected by the ancestors and called to the task of healer, priest, counselor and diviner. Channeling and the ancient art of throwing and interpreting the bones are used as forms of divination in this tradition. Continue reading

Everyday Dowsing

Get a FREE psychic reading right now at PsychicAccess.comDowsing can be used in our daily lives for tracking down missing car keys, that have been absent-mindedly misplaced, or finding lost jewelry and other specific objects. Dowsing is also great for locating a lost pet… or even a child playing hide-and-seek!

The origins of dowsing can be traced back thousands of years, before technology and satellites were there to help locating oil…or pyramids. All those years ago, country folk would use a ‘Y’ shaped tree branch or twig to find water wells, or hidden treasure. It is commonplace these days to dowse for water, auras or even land-mines.

The only reason dowsing is being considered to be a ‘psychic tool’ is because scientists haven’t been able to find a logical explanation for how dowsing works. This is also complicated by the fact that some dowsers have better results than others. Their accuracy often depends on how attuned the dowser is to their dowsing tool. Fine tuning to this art seems to come with experience. Continue reading

When The Time Is Right

Get a FREE psychic reading right now at PsychicAccess.comMost psychics find it almost impossible to read for themselves or for friends and relatives. It is difficult to remain objective in readings for people who are very close to us. It is therefore common practice for psychics to read for each other when the need arises.

Ten years ago my psychic mentor and I were trading readings. During my reading she told me I would one day have to choose between two men. Of course, I am like everyone else and I wanted to know when it would happen?

As a professional psychic reader I knew from personal experience that the prediction of the timing for events is really hard to do. But I still wanted it to happen right then and there! I was less experienced then and obviously had a lot to learn. I don’t have patience at all, but sometimes in life you are made to learn important life lessons. Continue reading

How I Read With Ordinary Playing Cards

Get a FREE psychic reading right now at PsychicAccess.comI do readings using a normal deck of playing cards, the kind you buy at your grocery store. This form of divination is known as cartomancy.

Cartomancy originates from the 14th century, when playing cards were first introduced to the world. Some historians claim that it might even date back to Ancient Egypt.

Using an ordinary deck of cards was the most popular form of cartomancy for centuries, especially in Europe from the 18th to the 20th century. Today a standard deck of playing cards has, however, become the little brother of the Tarot cards. These days many people find it unusual that someone would be using a regular deck of playing cards to predict the future. Continue reading
