Astrology Forecast January 16 – 22, 2023
This week there is a cosmic ‘musical chairs’ occuring with various planets shifting as the heavens align for the beginning of the Chinese New Year this weekend.
Today, the Scorpio Moon will carry an intense vibration, enabling us to get a lot of things taken care of that have been on the back burner since last year.
A lighter energy prevails tomorrow and Wednesday, as the Moon dances through Sagittarius, but we’ll have to watch out for overly sensitive people and potential emotional outbursts. This may partly be due also to Mercury turning direct in Capricorn on Wednesday. This return can cause miscommunication and technical glitches that are sure to try some folks’ last nerve!
The Sun will move into Aquarius on Friday and meet up with Pluto, giving us a sense of destiny and karma to guide our way forward.
On Saturday the Aquarius New Moon will announce the dawn of the Chinese New Year. To add to the drama, Uranus will also turn direct this weekend, after four months of backward motion. This aspect will cement the fact that new beginnings are upon us! With the rare trio of the Sun moving into Aquarius, as well as the New Moon in Aquarius, and Aquarius as the ruling planet of Uranus going direct (as well as Mercury), plus the Chinese New Year all happening within a matter of days, the writing is certainly on the wall: major change for the better is on the horizon.
Astrology Forecast November 21 – 27, 2022
The Sun will move into Sagittarius tomorrow, opening our minds and hearts a bit wider as we set aside our usual schedules for the next four weeks and embrace a more flexible and patient attitude.
A Sagittarius New Moon occurs on Wednesday, and we’ll spend the next two weeks embracing new possibilities and finishing up anything that stands in the way of free movement. Resolution is often an outcome of this Moon, so if there is a personal problem or life challenge that’s been troubling you, this next two weeks could bring the answers you seek. Jupiter will also turn direct on Wednesday, further helping to removing obstacles to attainment and setting us on a brighter course for the future.
Thanksgiving Day will unfold quite smoothly under the fun-loving Sagittarius Moon this Thursday, but watch out for over-indulgence, as this sign is famous for pushing boundaries!
Our industrious side will emerge over the weekend, as a Capricorn Moon encourages us to take action on the things we’ve been procrastinating on. Clearing out clutter, reorganizing files, or simply engaging in more physical activity are all ways to embrace the grounding power of the Capricorn Moon. It will also be a great help in restoring order to your home after the family’s Thanksgiving celebration.
Astrology Forecast October 10 – 16, 2022
There’s a beautiful balance to this week under the Libra Sun, starting with today’s energizing Aries Moon. This is a great day to get creative and be proactive in resolving any issues that have been holding you back.
But beware the Aries Moon square with Pluto in Capricorn this morning, as this transit is known to inspire intolerance and aggression. Stay calm and centered, avoid the drama, count to ten, and do not lash out. Also, check on your pets’ health, as they are more likely to not be feeling well this morning.
Things hum along smoothly under a Taurus Moon tomorrow and Wednesday, where we can turn out attention to restoring order in our physical worlds or attending to health and financial issues.
On Wednesday the Taurus Moon trine with Pluto in Capricorn late in the afternoon offers a special opportunity to do something fun or adventurous that is outside your normal after-work routine. Be spontaneous, take a different route home, stop at the park near your house, or call a friend to meet you at that new coffee shop downtown.
Thursday and Friday are all about socializing under the Gemini Moon, and we’ll also be able to do some great research and share new ideas with everyone around us.
Friday afternoon’s Gemini Moon trine Venus in Libra, as well as its trine with the Sun in Libra in the evening sets the tone for a perfect date night. Harmony, love and a cheerful mood will be at the forefront. Surprise your beloved or new love interest with a gourmet dinner at a fancy restaurant, as you will both enjoy the food more than usual during this Gemini-Libra energy interaction.
The rest of the weekend will reflect the vibes of the Cancer Moon, allowing us to focus on home, family, and relaxation.
Astrology Forecast September 19 – 25, 2022
The astrological highlights this week will be the Sun moving into Libra on Thursday, followed by a Libra New Moon on Sunday.
We could find it difficult to get much done today as the Moon dances through emotional Cancer. Go with the flow and promise yourself to get back to work tomorrow, when the Moon charges into Aries and spends three days energizing our every move!
Interpersonal relations may be somewhat volatile tomorrow morning when the Cancer Moon opposes Pluto in Capricorn. Do not even attempt to discuss joint finances with your significant other or take that phone call from your toxic relatives, and steer clear of big egos and power struggles when you arrive at work.
The Sun’s move into Libra on Thursday sets us on a pleasant course of sharing love, reaping rewards, and easy-going times for the next four weeks. Immersing ourselves in our passions and exploring deeper connection in our partnerships will be overriding themes.
Friday and Saturday are great for organizing, clearing out clutter, and restoring order to our worlds under the Virgo Moon.
Remember to make a wish on Sunday under the Libra New Moon, which will kick off two weeks of possibilities and shifts, moving us closer to our dreams. But beware the Libra Moon opposite Jupiter in Aries early Sunday evening, as this transit is notorious for getting us into legal troubles and clashing with authorities. if you are planning to go out, be sure to wear your seatbelt, obey traffic laws and do not drink and drive! Also, plan your activity budget for the evening, as you may be prone to overspending and being too extravagant.
Astrology Forecast August 29 – September 4, 2022
Time for a cosmic breather this week, as the astrological musical chairs game comes to a halt and we focus on restoring balance to our lives.
We can start by taking advantage of Monday and Tuesday’s Libra Moon to bring our worlds back into order, deftly moving between the physical and intellectual realms of our lives to restore equilibrium. The Libra Moon conjunction with Mercury in Libra around midday today will provide the ideal energy springboard by inspring us with mental clarity, focus and sound judgment. It will be a good day for business planning and success, as well as communicating with the people in our life we care about most.
This wave of empowering energy will be carried further by the Libra Moon trine Mars in Gemini later in the afternoon, which will call forth additional courage, determination and resourcefulness and inspire us to take practical steps to put our plans for the week in motion.
The Libra Moon square Pluto in Capricorn early Wednesday morning could set us up for unnecessary drama if we are not careful, especially with the Moon entering Scorpio around midday to further fan the flames with its intensely passionate, impulsive energy. Keep your emotions in check and do not react aggressively to mundane situations. Most of all avoid getting sucked into arguments regarding money and financial matters with loved ones and co-workers, as it will most likely not end well.
The Moon will wade through Scorpio Wednesday through Friday, calling for us to go within to complete the process of change we are in the midst of.
Thankfully, a Sagittarius Moon will rule over the weekend, reminding us to quit taking things too seriously and focus on the joy and simple things in our lives.
Astrology Forecast August 8 – 14, 2022
Getting the week started may prove challenging this morning with a Sagittarius Moon square Neptune in Pisces, as well as a Venus in Cancer opposition with Pluto in Capricorn. Make every effort to guard against laziness, self-indulgent behavior and a passive attitude, as it may set things back for the rest of the week. It will however be all work and little play by this afternoon, as the Moon shifting in Capricorn will insist we now get down to business and make things happen!
The Capricorn Moon will keep us under pressure to perform until Thursday, when the Aquarius Full Moon insists on a sudden shift in direction amplified by Venus moving into fiery Leo. This combination will bring out our fiery and dramatic personality traits, tempting us to put work on the back burner and let our passions and imagination carry us into another dimension. Venus in Leo also lures us into seeking beauty and pleasure. Be careful not to over-indulge and remember that less is more.
The trend continues Friday afternoon with the Moon moving into Pisces causing us to be dreamy and somewhat self-absorbed. Friday evening’s Pisces Moon sextile with Uranus in Taurus is however a social highlight for the week, as it will be a great time to go out with friends and have some fun! Alternatively, it will also be the perfect evening for a romantic date night of ‘Netflix and chill’ with that special someone.
The remainder of the weekend will continue to unfold under a karmic Pisces Moon, calling us back to ourselves to spend a few days soul-searching and connecting with our higher source. It’s one thing to come up with a great plan, and yet another to empower it by joining hands with spirit to manifest our dreams, so let’s make it a point to engage Spirit in our plans for the future, to assure they come to pass in the greatest manner possible.

Jupiter, Pluto And The Judgment Of Solomon
One of my favorite astrologers, Christopher Renstrom, is an uber-wise storyteller who has a knack for bringing profound astrological messages to life. He recently spoke about the separating Jupiter-Pluto energies, likening both Jupiter and Pluto to judges: Jupiter symbolizing Zeus, the benevolent King of Mount Olympus, and Pluto to Hades, his brother, the King of the Underworld.
In many ways these energies are opposite to one another, one reigning in the light (Jupiter), the other in the dark at night, beneath the surface of things (Pluto). Yet, both kings preside in judgment over matters brought to their attention.
Christopher went on to relay the story of The Judgement of Solomon from the Hebrew Bible, in which Solomon rules between two women both claiming to be the mother of a particular child. The explained that this story beautifully exemplifies Jupiter and Pluto in their role as judges over life and death.
In the story, two women had given birth, but tragically one of the babies did not survive when the mother accidentally rolled over on the child in her sleep. In the morning, she secretly switched the two babies, giving the deceased newborn to the other mother. This mother awoke and found the lifeless child, but knew this wasn’t her baby. She knew the living child belonged to her instead, but the other mother denied this and wouldn’t give up the living child.
The case went before King Solomon, who agreed to listen to anyone’s complaint, no matter what walk of life they came from. And so, each mother, in-turn, argued her side, with no corroborating witnesses to back them up.
Solomon listened intently, then asked for a sword. He then ordered the living child be cut in two, with one half handed to each of the mothers as a fair resolution of the dispute. But the true mother of the living baby implored the king not to kill the innocent child, but instead willingly relinquished the baby to the other mother. The illegitimate mother, however, demanded the child be killed so no one would have it, dispensing her own morbid sense of justice.
