Psychic Guidelines For Mercury Retrograde
Many people are familiar with the astrological transit known as Mercury Retrograde, which occurs three or four times a year, and how it affects our lives with communication mishaps, technological glitches and misunderstandings.
What is less well known is how it affects psychic reading. Over the years, I have noticed the influence of this astroligical aspect in many of my psychic readings during retrogrades. Since we are currently in the midst of another Mercury Retrograde, I thought it might be a good time to explore this phenomenon in more detail.
If you are unfamiliar, Mercury Retrograde is an astrological phenomenon that occurs when the planet Mercury appears to be moving backwards in space. This is actually an optical illusion caused by the Earth’s orbit overtaking Mercury’s closer orbit to the Sun.
We are currently halfway through the first Mercury retrograde for this year, which will last until April 25. The next two retrogrades for 2024 will be August 4 to August 28 and November 25 to December 15.
In astrology, Mercury is the planetary ruler of communication, travel, and information processing. So, when Mercury is retrograde, these areas of our lives tend to be most affected. People often report experiencing miscommunication, travel delays, and technical problems during Mercury retrograde. Astrology Forecast April 1 – 7, 2024
The month begins on a fiery note with Mercury going retrograde today until April 25th. This Mercury retrograde may have a greater impact than usual as it occurs in the ardent sign of Aries.
Expect heightened frustration and impatience over the next three weeks as tensions could ignite quickly. The energy of Aries amplifies impulsiveness and assertiveness, which can lead to rash decisions and thoughtless actions or words.
It will be important to practice patience, exercise caution with technology, back up important files, and avoid initiating new projects or making important decisions if possible. Watch out for electronic glitches, last-minute cancellations, and having to start things over at least twice before they stick!
Miscommunications and misunderstandings are also likely to be more common, especially in close relationships where there may be a tendency toward more self-centered or combative interactions.
To mitigate potential conflict, think carefully about how you phrase things and strive for clarity before you react. During this time, focus on listening and reflecting before speaking, as knee-jerk reactions could lead to unnecessary complications!

The week begins with a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Libra today. This promises to be a powerful astrological event, with potential implications on both a personal and collective level.

It may prove to be privotal in our relationships, as well as decisions or adjustments in areas of our life that have been out of balance.

It’s an opportune time for self-discovery and for reevaluating the compromises we make in our relationships.
It may also inspire us to advocate for ourselves or others, or to align our actions and choices with our core humanitarian values of justice, equality, and harmony. On a global scale, this eclipse will highlight issues of justice, diplomacy, and relationships between nations or groups. Movements for peace, equality and fairness may gain momentum this week.

Jupiter goes retrograde today in Taurus where it will be the rest of the year. Jupiter is the planet of growth, expansion and risk-taking. It also rules higher truth, law, philosophy, and spiritual wisdom.
When Jupiter goes retrograde, these influences are turned inward and we may find ourselves reflecting more on our personal and spiritual growth, and where we may lack the courage and determination to make necessary changes in our lives.
In Taurus, Jupiter’s retrograde energy will steer our self-reflection over the next few months towards new opportunities for growth and future possibilities for expansion; recognizing where we may have been lazy in our past efforts; the need to improve our financial situation by saving and investing for the future; evaluating where our lives may currently lack security and stability; and revising our goals and plans to include more effort and risk-taking in the future.
A Taurus Moon today and tomorrow makes these first two days the most productive of the week. Once the Moon moves into Gemini on Wednesday, social interaction will take center stage as we enjoy being around people and making new friends.
Our attention will shift to learning new things and sharing our thoughts and ideas with others. This is also a great time to network and build business relationships. But try not to be restless and stay focused to make the most of this transit.
Things will ease up on Friday and Saturday under a nurturing Cancer Moon that turns our attention to the comforts of home and family. If you are empathic or highly sensitive, you may feel a strong desire to care for others over the weekend. It is good to be kind and nurturing, but be careful not to do so at the expense of your own self-care. In order to truly be there for others, we must also care for ourselves.

We are in for a busy week astrologically, starting with Uranus going retrograde today.
While outer planets can be subtle when they begin a retrograde period, Uranus is the exception, as its very nature is to create unexpected changes. In combination with the Moon passing through Aquarius (the sign Uranus rules) today and tomorrow, it’s best to expect the unexpected.
More annoying than problematic, some of the problems this scenario may cause is oversleeping, overeating, and minor computer or appliance problems. Nothing that comes our way will be too overwhelming to navigate, but it may cause brief delays as we rally to get things back on track.
On Wednesday we’ll have a Blue Moon, meaning it will be waxing full for the second time this month. Thus the saying “once in a blue moon,” to refer to a rare or unexpected event. A Blue Moon usually brings a positive surprise our way, and perhaps this will remedy whatever problems we encountered on Monday. Fingers crossed!
Stay grounded and prepared to face the truth Thursday afternoon, because the Pisces Moon opposite Mercury Retrograde in Virgo could reveal information that may disillusion or compel us to change our mind about a long-held belief. Think carefully before you act and try not to overreact.
If you’re wondering if there will be any quiet days this week, take heart! Friday and Saturday the Aries Moon will restore our energy and get us back on track in no time. And there’s more good news. On Sunday, Venus will end its six-week retrograde and go direct, bringing back the love, passion and beauty that this planet is known for.
Mercury Goes Retrograde Today
Mercury goes retrograde today. This astrological phenomenon occurs three to four times per year, when the planet Mercury appears to move backwards through space. Energetically, it can be a period of frustration, error, confusion, and delay, and each cycle lasts about two to three weeks. Mercury retrograde begins again today and will last until September 14th.
In ancient Roman mythology, Mercury is a prominent god who rules business and finance, communication, travel, luck, swindlers, and thieves. He also serves as the guide of souls to the underworld and as a messenger of the gods. He is also known for his ability to take things apart and put them back together again. In astrology, the planet Mercury is therefore associated with communication, intellect, technology, and travel, so all of these aspects of life can be affected when it goes retrograde.
During Mercury retrograde, all aspects of communication, logic and reason can become more difficult and dysfunctional. Misunderstandings and mix-ups are more likely, and we are sometimes less able to think and express ourselves clearly. This can cause problems in our personal and professional relationships. We are also more prone to making mistakes or overlooking important details, leading to frustration and confusion.
Communication systems and technology are also affected by a Mercury retrograde. Digital communication devices and electronics may malfunction or break down, and internet and phone connections may be disrupted, making it more difficult to stay in touch. Mercury moving into the sign of Cancer today will encourage us to review the first half of this year to uncover what we have learned and where we have succeeded, as well as what still needs to be done.
Combined with the easy going Libra Moon today and tomorrow, as well as Wednesday’s Scorpio Moon trine with Mercury in Cancer, the first three days of this week is a valuable opportunity for sound judgment and practical thinking to help us rebalance and regroup.
The vibe may seem a bit ethereal under Wednesday and Thursday’s Scorpio Moon, followed by Neptune, the epitome of ethereal, turning retrograde on Friday.
For the next five months this planet that rules spirituality, soulfulness, the occult and the unseen will travel backward through Pisces, the sign it rules. The esoteric energies of this aspect will inspire new visions for the future, reveal answers to questions we haven’t been able to answer for quite some time, and clear out any illusions or misconceptions that may have been holding us back.
Saturday and Sunday is about choices. Saturday’s Sagittarius Moon offers us the choice of allowing restlessness to distract and frustrate us, or we can opt to channel its fiery energy into learning something new or mastering a useful skill.
Sunday’s Capricorn Moon will give us another choice: do we want to clean out the garage and post the clutter in an online auction? Or do we just want to slouch on the couch and catch up on our binge streaming, and napping?
