What If’s That Go Bump In The Night

Get a free psychic reading right now at PsychicAccess.comWhen I grow up I want to be…a psychic! Ok, so I’ve grown up and I’ve been a psychic for many years. The question now becomes, how do I take back, or erase from my mind’s eye, all that I’ve seen?

Wounded healer, heal thyself” is a very old truth, which still holds merit after many years of being bandied about. Perhaps today it is more true than ever. In today’s world we deal with much more fear and what if’s than we should. Someone or something – the news media for one – is always preying on people’s fears. Radiation thousands of miles away? Buy potassium pills, which you may have an allergic reaction to! No problem! Panic, sadly, seems to be the name of the game for too many in our world these days.

To conquer fear is the beginning of wisdom  ~ Bertrand Russell

Psychics, astrologers, mediums, tarot card readers, energy healers, dream interpreters and more are known by the universal term Lightworkers. This is ironic, considering we delve into the fears of most people head-first, in order to help our fellow man come to some form of clarity or conclusion. What happens when the Lightworker’s battery begins to fade from overuse and not enough recharging? Can helping people face their fears make our own become larger by proxy, thus causing our own light to dim?

Some clients listen, others don’t. We are born healers and teachers (at our core we want to help everyone). We know that inner peace comes from within. Maybe I only speak for myself as a healer, but there are times when the people who refuse to listen haunt me far longer than those who do.  They are the ones who keep me up at night. They are the ones who make me doubt and question what I know in my heart to be true, based on my ability to listen to a Higher Power and relay messages They want to share.

The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others ~ Mahatma Gandhi

“Face your fears”, I say! Even to myself as a wounded healer, I must face my self-doubt and remember to look upon the bright side – the countless souls whose lives I have been blessed to change, to make into something brighter.

I remember those whom have come to me in the throes of deep addiction, be it pills or behavior or thought-patterns. I honor those who wanted release from spiritual and mental pain and suffering, torment and anguish, and have achieved it. If you face fear, which does tend to masquerade in many different forms rather like the Boggart from Harry Potter, and laugh at fear in the face, then lightness of heart can come in through great laughter and joy.

When I grow up….I want to be…me! And I could not truly be me without the good or the bad, the fear and the love, the believers and the skeptics. And so I thank you. And I leave you this blog with a few words of advise: face the pain, face the doubt, face the what-if’s that go bump in the night of your subconscious. Maybe, just maybe, by facing your fears you become both the shadow and the Light and the balance and healing that come with it.
