Just Let The Universe Work Its Magic

As spirit beings in human form, we tend to be subject to our willful ego. Many of us can be particularly stubborn when there is something (or someone) that we desperately want, causing us to lazily focus on that thing or person and nothing else.

Even when Spirit gently nudges us in another direction and the Universe patiently whispers, “No, that is not what is meant for you,” we stubbornly cling to our obsessions.

God, Source, Spirit, the Divine wants only the best for us and the Universe will never deny us those things that serve our highest good. In the readings, the messages from our guides, angels and ancestors always come from a place of love and never from a place of withholding, exclusion, punishment, revenge, fear or neglect. Spirit wants us to live our best lives, to experience lots of love, and to grow both personally and spiritually.

Psychic advisors like myself are sometimes “the messengers who get shot.” We sometimes read for people who get very upset with us when the guidance we receive from Spirit is not what they had hoped to hear.

Sometimes people have already made up their minds and will not accept any information or feedback that does not match what they want to hear in a reading. Meanwhile, I simply give them exactly what comes through to me from Spirit.

To make matters worse, the stubborn demands and obsessions of some of these disgruntled folks involve people and things that they cannot morally, ethically, or legally have! For example, they may insist that someone else’s partner or spouse should be with them instead. In what alternate reality does this kind of thinking ensure good karma and abundant blessings in anyone’s life?

Of course, these situations never end well. I have seen this kind of disastrous scenario play out with numerous clients over the years. It does not take a psychic to know that people who leave their significant other for someone else often end up hurting not only the one they left, but also the person they left them for.

Those who cheat on one partner will usually cheat on the next too. It’s not ‘rocket science,’ but in my experience, the new love interest is usually surprised when it happens to them, too, while it’s simply karma that what is done to another ends up happening to us in some way, shape or form.

The Universe will never randomly place your beloved in a relationship with another person when they were meant for you instead. Source has someone specifically lined up for each of us, but we are unlikely to meet that person while we are attached to the idea of being with someone else’s partner. “I have to have this particular person” is simply not how the Universe works.

While we think we know who or what is best for us, we often do not. People do not get into failed, unhealthy, unfulfilling, or even toxic relationships because the Universe makes mistakes. They get into those relationships because of their own ego interference and lack of trust in the universal flow and divine design. If we insist on not letting go and not letting God, we only have ourselves to blame when things go wrong.

Being open to receiving the best possible results from the Universe is the only true path to everlasting happiness, joy and fulfillment. Your perfect partner will come, but you must let go of your attachment to the one person or outcome you did not get so that the right one can come at the right time for the right reason. Let it go.

This is not only true for romantic relationships and life partners. It also applies to all the other gifts and blessings in our lives.

That job you wanted, but they gave it to someone else, may have seemed like the perfect job for you, but years from now you will look back and realize that it was not what was best for you. Your dream job will come; but make room for it by letting go of your attachment to the one you did not get, so that the right one can come. Let it go.

I myself have been guilty of bad ego choices over the years. One of the biggest lessons was a marriage in which my ex-husband cheated on me and eventually left me for someone else. I was devastated at the time, but deep in my soul I knew all along what had happened. He was very much against my Reiki training, my psychic development efforts, and my other spiritual interests. Had he not left me for someone else, I would still be in that soulless marriage that I stubbornly wanted to last forever, and I would not be the person I am today. I certainly would not be teaching Reiki, counseling people spiritually, or doing readings!

It took me a few years of self-development and healing work before I could even date again. But in the process, I released many of my dysfunctional attachments and childhood baggage and simply allowed Source to bring me my true love, when it was meant to be and I was truly ready. And today I am married again, this time happily to a man who is 100% supportive of what I do for a living. He may not understand all of it, but he still supports me unconditionally in my endeavors.

Another miracle lesson was a house. I fell in love with a property that I wanted to own no matter what. I focused on manifesting the means to get it day and night, to the point of obsession. The house was everything I had always dreamed of, including a beautiful deck overlooking the water and a peaceful neighborhood.

Everything seemed to be falling in place (except that nagging feeling that it was not going to happen). But before our financing was confirmed, someone else had bought it. I was heartbroken.

Just a few years later, the city condemned the land behind the house, almost to the back door, to build a wider road that is now noisy and busy. The peace and quiet of the property is gone. Meanwhile, Source had something better in mind. Today we live in a peaceful community a short walk from a beautiful lake (instead of having to deal with a busy highway right behind our house). Yes, this is the little miracle the universe had in store for me!

So, the next time Spirit encourages you to let it go, maybe try it… instead of shooting the messenger. Let go of the need to control every outcome. When you surrender to the flow of life, you allow Source to work its magic. Embrace uncertainty and let the Universe surprise you. Your life may just change in wonderful ways that you never imagined.
