Meditating On An Archangel
Archangels are powerful celestial beings who serve as messengers or agents of God, and who offer protection, guidance, and healing to those who call upon them. They are found in various spiritual traditions, including Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and Gnosticism.
Meditating on an archangel is a powerful way to deepen your spiritual practice and connect with God, Source, Spirit, the Divine. For the best results it is important to select the archangel that best corresponds with your personal development, spiritual growth, healing, or manifesting goals.
The seven archangels are Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, Jophiel, Ariel, Azrael, and Chamuel. Each of these angelic beings are associated with specific correspondences, including colors, elements, planets, and virtues. Here are some of the correspondences for the four main archangels in the Judeo-Christian tradition:
Archangel Michael: Michael is associated with the color red, the element of fire, the planet Mercury, and the virtue of courage. He is depicted as a warrior and protector, and is known for his powerful ability to vanquish evil and defend the righteous.
Archangel Gabriel: Gabriel is associated with the color blue, the element of water, the Moon, and the virtue of purity. He is depicted as a messenger, and is known for delivering important messages from God, including the announcement of the birth of Jesus Christ.
Archangel Raphael: Raphael is associated with the color yellow, the element of air, the Sun, and the virtue of healing. He is depicted as a guide and healer, and is known for his ability to bring physical, emotional, and spiritual healing to those in need.
Archangel Uriel: Uriel is associated with the color dark green, or sometimes vermillion, the element of earth, and the physical plane in general.

How To Meditate On An Archangel
Meditating on an archangel helps to connect us with their corresponding energies and virtues, and to cultivate those qualities within ourselves. Meditating on an archangel can also help us to develop our spiritual gifts and abilities. By connecting with these powerful beings, we can tap into our own intuition, creativity, and inner wisdom, and allow these qualities to guide us on our path. Here are some steps you can follow to meditate on an archangel for spiritual development:
Choose an archangel: select the archangel that resonates with you the most, or that you feel drawn to in your spiritual practice.
Set the intention: decide on the goal or purpose of the meditation, such as connecting with the archangel’s energy, receiving guidance, or cultivating a specific virtue.
Create a sacred space: set the scene for your meditation by lighting some candles or incense, playing soothing music, and surrounding yourself with objects that represent the archangel’s correspondences.
Invoke the archangel: call upon the archangel’s name and ask for their presence and guidance in your meditation. For example, do a prayer such as this:
Oh, holy Archangel,
With deep reverence and humility, I invoke your powerful and loving presence. I know that you are a messenger of God and that you offer protection, guidance, and healing to those who seek your intercession.
I come to you with a pure heart, asking for your help. With your divine assistance, I trust that I can overcome any challenges and obstacles that I am facing.
I ask for your guidance. Please lead me on the path that is in alignment with God’s will and that brings me closer to His divine plan for my life.
I humbly give you permission to improve my life in ways that I may not even be able to imagine. I trust that you know what is best for me and that you will bring blessings into my life in perfect timing and in perfect ways.
Please help me to release any fears, doubts, or limiting beliefs that may be holding me back from experiencing the fullness of my divine potential. Help me to align with the highest vibrations of love, light, and joy, and to live a life of faith, hope, and charity.
I thank you, holy Archangel, for your loving presence in my life. Please continue to guide me, protect me, and bless me with your divine wisdom and grace.
Amen.
Visualize and connect: envision the archangel in your mind’s eye, and feel their energy and presence around you. You can also ask for guidance or support in your spiritual development, and listen for any insights or messages that come through.
Reflect and integrate: After the meditation, take some time to contemplate the insights or messages you may have received, and how you can integrate the archangel’s correspondences and virtues into your daily life.
Contemplating an archangel can be a transformative and uplifting practice that allows us to tap into the divine realm and expand our spiritual awareness. By exploring the correspondences of the archangels and how they relate to our own virtues and qualities, we can deepen our understanding of the divine and align ourselves with its purest aspects.
