The Spiritual Meaning Of Seeing 222

If you are currently experiencing a spiritual awakening or have been on a path of spiritual awareness you may noticed certain repeating numbers showing up for you more frequently. But why are you seeing a specific number or number sequence over and over again, and what is its spiritual meaning.

When spirit is seeking to get our attention or communicate with us, we experience certain signs and synchronicities, including seeing certain numbers or repeating number sequences, also known as ‘angel numbers,’ that show up in your life in a noticeable way. We begin to constantly see these numbers everywhere, on watches and clocks, road signs, license plates, billboards, addresses, electronic exercise equipment, phone numbers, social media posts, and so on. Each number and number sequence carries its own, unique message and energy signature.

The number 2 is one I have found particularly meaningful.  It is a highly esoteric number tied to the informational nature of light and how we perceive the world.

In Tarot, the number 2 is associated with the High Priestess card. She is the keeper of secret knowledge. She understands the esoteric mysteries of the Universe. She also knows knowledge is found in the light code and the high priestess can access this information. She knows how to flow with the universal laws, and how to use these laws to enact what others may view as ‘magic.’

She therefore represents masterful manifestation, and yet also an element of personal sacrifice. The high priestess does not manifest for her own selfish desires. She manifests for the highest and best good of all, even if that means she must integrate lessons and challenge herself to grow spiritually.

The High Priestess understands that the wise man knows himself to be a fool, and that there is always more to learn. She is humble, yet wise. She moves effortlessly within duality, understanding when to speak and when not to speak, when to share her knowledge and when to remain silent. When to spend her energy and when to withdraw.

The number 2 also relates to the use of manifestation and magic in the world. It reminds us of the energetic nature of our soul and the physical matter of your body – blending the two and using energy to affect matter. This is further expressed in several of the universal laws such as the law of rhythm and the law of cause-and-effect.

The law of rhythm states that all things ebb and flow and that this ebb and flow is natural. The law of cause-and-effect states that all effects have a cause, even if we don’t perceive the cause, it exists. As we come to understand these laws and move within them, we recognize that true magic is all about using the natural laws of the universe to both create and to influence our reality.

In the field of sacred geometry, it is believed light is expressed through the overlapping of two circles to create what is called the vesica piscis, a mathematical shape formed by the intersection of two disks with the same radius, intersecting in such a way that the center of each disk lies on the perimeter of the other.

Light is information, it is literally how we perceive reality. Our eyes take in light in translate that into the world around us. When we consider that the number 2 is related to this aspect of sacred geometry, it takes on some serious gravity. The number 2 then relates to creation and the way we perceive that creation. And in this context perception is literally everything.

This is why the number 2 is also associated with secret knowledge and esoteric learning. Because it is associated with the very fabric of how we interface with reality. The number 2 speaks to our dual nature – how our soul and our ‘person’ interface here on this plain.

When the number 2 starts showing up for you, it is a reminder from Spirit that our perception shapes our reality, and that we can affect our own reality experience through our consciousness.

We can do this more successfully by understanding the universal laws governing our existence and how it is connected to the number two. We use this knowledge to manifest our desires, create positive outcomes in our lives, and generally stay ‘in flow’ or ‘high vibration’ for our highest good.

Polarity

The number represents the polar nature of our everyday reality. It’s a reminder that opposites are just two poles of the same thing. For example, hot and cold, light and dark, love and hate. And each of these things can be transmuted into its opposite pole. For example, dark can become light, cold can become hot. But love can never become ‘light’ or ‘cold’, just as hate can never become ‘dark’ or ‘hot’, these are completely different things!

The number two teaches us this fundamental rule of transmutation. Is there something in your life that needs to be transmuted? Think about this when the number 2 shows up in your daily awareness. Are you holding rigid judgments or self-limiting ideas related to polarity ? For example, what do you consider good or bad, because it is always your own perception of it that makes a thing so in own your mind. What you may consider bad, could very well be good from someone else’s point of view.

Recognizing if we are overly biased towards one polarity can help us overcome the wild, destabilizing swings that a focus of extreme, rigid polarity can create in our life, as well as creating resistance in our energy vibration.

Duality

Duality is another insight offered to us by the number 2. We live in a dual paradigm. We can find duality everywhere we look. This universal law is closely related to polarity in that it also highlights the polar opposites, but duality speaks to how these opposites can work together… like the two sides of a coin. For example, light requires dark to give it texture and range. Love requires the contrast of hate to give it true meaning. Duality is about the existence and symbiosis of polarities.

While polarity implies we can influence the opposing aspects, duality reminds us that everything serves a purpose – even the worst polar opposite. Everything is meaningful and purposeful. Both the light and the dark; both the things we love and the things we hate. The universe and spirit does not judge. We even experience this law of duality in our own everyday existence. We are both an eternal metaphysical soul of infinite consciousness, as well as the temporary, physical human being we are in this lifetime.

On a practical level seeing the number 2 is also significant in the following aspects in our everyday life:

Relationships. Cooperation, collaboration, conflict and discord in our partnerships and various other significant relationships between two people.

Balance. The need for balance and harmony in all aspects of our life, including work-life balance, mental health, social life versus ‘me time,’ and so on. This refers to the aspect of duality and finding balance within that paradigm.

Moderation. Being level-headed and sensible between differing perspectives and viewpoints, and being a moderating force to blend diverse ideas into common ground.

Divine Timing. Reassurance that timing is meaningful and that manifestations, gifts and blessings only come in when we are truly ready for them.

Life Transition. The number 2 often is an indication of major life choices and decisions, or being at a crossroads.

Secret Knowledge. The number 2 is symbolic of the mystical, magic, esoteric learning, and occult knowledge.

In general, repeating number sequences are also meant as a ‘spiritual checkpoint’ for us. So, whenever you see the number 2, stop for a moment, and check in with yourself. What were you thinking about or feeling at that moment? Is it in alignment with what you wish to manifest? If not, take the opportunity to re-frame those thoughts and feelings in a way that supports the future you do wish to manifest.

The number 2 is a powerful omen from the Universe. If it is showing up for you, this is likely a very significant time in your life. Personal and spiritual growth are associated with this number, so what is coming in for you will help prepare you in meaningful ways for the path you are aligning with, or have aligned with. It’s a reminder that Spirit is with you, helping to guide and support you along your path.
