Stay In The Light
During these challenging times, it is essential to stay in the light. It protects your emotional, spiritual, mental and physical health. How do you ‘stay in the light?’ You achieve it by maintaining a raised energy vibration in a time of extreme darkness. It means you don’t get sucked into other people’s drama, darkness, fear and toxicity. You don’t allow yourself to get weighed down by the negativity in the world around you.
Staying in the light doesn’t mean you don’t have an opinion or strong personal views, or that you are not aware, supportive and caring, or that you don’t get involved in the world around you when it truly matters. It simply means you always take care of yourself, while you are doing whatever it is that you need to do every day. Staying in the light is about making self-care a priority.
Staying in the light is about psychic shielding and setting boundaries where and when necessary. For example, avoiding toxic people and environments is one of the best things you can do to stay in the light. You have no obligation to tolerate and accommodate toxic people and energy thieves!
If you work with toxic people, don’t listen to the office gossip and don’t get sucked into their negative world. Also, don’t show them that they may be upsetting, or hurting you. Take a deep breath, call on your inner strength, and simply smile. Own your personal power – you are much stronger than you may realize.
Stay away from social media, if you are easily overwhelmed by negativity. For the first time in human history, we now have the technology to instantly access the opinions, fears, false beliefs and negative experiences of every human being who has access to a keyboard or smart phone. We are confronted daily with the pain, hysterics and drama of thousands of people, all at once!
There is no darkness so dense, so menacing, or so difficult that it cannot be overcome by light ~ Vern P. Stanfill
Not only is social media trapping us into holding space for all the drama and problems of all of our friends, colleagues, neighbors, family members, acquaintances and distant relatives, but we also have to process the daily struggles of random strangers all over the world. We are constantly confronted with horrors and traumas involving random strangers we’ve never even met in person. And then some of us follow the mainstream news on top of all that. It’s a lot to take.
This level of daily exposure to stress and trauma will either make us mentally ill, or completely desensitized. Neither is good for our spiritual well-being and personal fulfillment. Be more careful about what information you consume. Too much negativity and digital over-stimulation will make you feel tired and possibly, even depressed or anxious.
Instead, focus your time and energy on more constructive, meaningful pursuits, such as your daily spiritual practice. Meditate. Practice yoga. Dance in your living room. Spiritual practice raises your vibration and realigns the mind, body and soul, so that the ‘toxicity’ does not build up. It balances your energy, which will become disastrously unbalanced if you keep digesting all of the negativity around you.
Meditate on and visualize yourself emanating white light from your heart. Visualize it moving an inch past your body, then a foot then filling the entire room, then a mile, then filling your entire city, then filling your county, your country, the Earth, and then the Universe.
Reach out to your helpers in the spirit realm. Visualize angels in a circle holding hands, with yourself in the middle of that circle. They are protecting you and emanating white light all around you. This is especially helpful if you are feeling anxious or afraid about something.
I find hope in the darkest of days, and focus in the brightest. I do not judge the universe ~ Dalai Lama
Communicate with your guides and loved ones who have crossed over. Speak to them out loud. It doesn’t matter if you can’t hear them communicating back. Just know they are listening and that you are not alone. They cannot interfere with our path or karma, but they can send powerful light and energy to you to give you strength and balance.
Eat well and exercise. Keeping your body nourished and healthy will help you stay strong during the tough times in life. Spend as much time as you can with children, animals and in nature. Water is especially healing. All bodies of water, be it the ocean, a lake, river, waterfall, creek or even a pond, will bring back your inner light.
If you absolutely have to stay involved on social media, for whatever purpose, then at least make an effort to post only positive, uplifting things. Unfollow and block profiles or pages that tend to generate a lot of negativity. Be kind and compassionate. Comment only on how strong, beautiful and smart your friends are, instead of debating, reprimanding or criticizing them. Send more good vibes into cyber space.
More than ever before we need the lightworkers on our planet to step up now, and do what they came to do. If you are constantly feeling overwhelmed, angry, depressed and anxious, you will not be able to tap into your inner light, that has the power to help heal and transform the world. Wake up every morning determined not to let others bring you down. Stay in the light.

This was very helpful. Thank you.
Thank you, what a fantastic post! Being an empath thankfully I’m familiar with how to reset my energy field already, but this post has such wonderful advice for these special times! And it reminded me to let go of some toxicity in my life that I’ve been holding on to. ♥️?
