Being Present In Your Power
In my field of work, one becomes acutely aware of the importance of being present in one’s power on a daily basis. Our personal vibration acts as a “passport” to profound spiritual experiences, helping us to access different levels of awareness, psychic perception and self-empowerment.
Our personal vibration is essentially the energy we radiate and attract in return. It shapes our experiences and interactions with the world around us.
A higher vibration is associated with positive feelings, clarity, and a sense of connection to something greater, as well as manifesting abundance, well-being and prosperity. Conversely, a lower vibration can manifest as negativity, confusion, and a sense of disconnection, dysfunction, lack and scarcity.
Raising our vibration involves practices that promote emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. These practices can include meditation, prayer, visualization, affirmation and other forms of energy work and spiritual self-care.
Over the years, I have explored various techniques to help me be more present in my power. While the specific method is a personal choice, any meditation or mindfulness technique can benefit our well-being and help us find peace in the midst of chaos.
After experimenting with different methods, I have settled on one particular practice that has been working very well for me lately. It is an effortless meditative approach that helps me connect with both my inner world and the realm of spirit.
This practice, which I simply call “sitting in my power,” not only raises my vibration, but also expands my consciousness, which is crucial for connecting with my spirit guides, loved ones, and ancestors on the other side of the veil.
Drop the idea of becoming someone, because you are already a masterpiece. You cannot be improved. You have only to come to it, to know it, to realize it ~ Osho
Benefits Of Being In Your Power
Recently, after just a few minutes of being present in my power, something unexpected happened. I received an idea to make a situation easier for myself, even though I didn’t ask for help. I was worried that my car was overdue for an inspection and service. The idea to “ask the dealership” came to me.
They responded positively, and I quickly got an appointment for both the inspection and the service, which otherwise would have taken weeks. This is just one practical example of how being more present in your power can benefit your everyday life.
Here are some of the typical benefits you may expect with this practice:
Increased Connection: Regularly being present in your power allows us to establish a stronger connection with our higher selves and spiritual guides. This can lead to profound insights and a deeper understanding of our purpose in life.
Intuitive Awareness: Being in your power enhances your intuitive abilities, allowing you to trust your inner wisdom more deeply. This heightened awareness guide you in making choices that align with your true self and lead to more fulfilling outcomes.
Mental Clarity: The meditative nature of being present in your power helps clear the mind, making it easier to focus on important tasks and make decisions.
Emotional Balance: By focusing on our inner energy, we can achieve greater emotional stability. This practice helps us release negative emotions and cultivate a sense of inner peace.
Physical Well-Being: Reducing stress through meditation and energy work can have positive effects on our physical health, including improved sleep, reduced anxiety, and lower blood pressure.

How To ‘Sit In Your Power’
1. Find a comfortable position
First, find a comfortable position in which your body is relaxed. This can be sitting in a chair, lying down, or even standing, as long as you feel comfortable and relaxed. The goal is to relax your body so that you can focus on your breath without physical discomfort.
2. Set your intention
Before you begin, set a clear intention for your session. Decide what you want to accomplish. Your intention may be to expand your awareness, connect with your higher self, seek answers to questions, or make contact with a spirit. Setting a clear intention helps focus your mind and energy on a specific goal.
3. Align your chakras
Base/Root Chakra: Begin by focusing on your base or root chakra, which is located at the base of your spine. Visualize it as a bright red spinning wheel turning clockwise. Feel its energy grounding you to the earth.
Sacral Chakra: Move your attention to your sacral chakra, located below your belly button. See it as a bright orange spinning wheel turning clockwise. This chakra is associated with creativity and emotional balance.
Solar Plexus Chakra: Shift your focus to your solar plexus chakra, which is located above your navel. Imagine it as a bright yellow spinning wheel turning clockwise. This chakra is associated with personal power and confidence.
Heart Chakra: Next, focus on your heart chakra, which is located in the center of your chest. Visualize it as a bright green spinning wheel turning clockwise. This chakra represents love and compassion.
Throat Chakra: Move your attention to your throat chakra, located at the base of your throat. See it as a vibrant deep blue spinning wheel turning clockwise. This chakra is associated with communication and expression.
Third Eye Chakra: Focus on your third eye chakra, located between your eyebrows. Visualize it as a vibrant indigo spinning wheel turning clockwise. This chakra is associated with intuition and insight.
Crown Chakra: Finally, direct your attention to your crown chakra, located at the top of your head. See it as a brilliant violet or white spinning wheel turning clockwise. This chakra is associated with spiritual connection and enlightenment. Feel its energy connecting you to the universe and the divine.
4. Expand your awareness
After focusing on each chakra, imagine your energy field expanding and your awareness expanding. Imagine your energy expanding beyond your physical body, connecting you to your higher self and the spiritual realm. This expansion allows you to receive information or communication from your higher self or loved ones.
5. Remain in this state
Remain in this expanded state of consciousness for as long as is comfortable for you. Allow yourself to be open to any messages or insights that come through. Trust that you are being supported and guided by higher energies.
6. Close the connection
When you are ready to end your session, gently bring your awareness back to your body. Focus on your crown chakra, located at the top of your head. Imagine it as a purple spinning wheel and express gratitude for the higher help you have received. Thank your guides and your higher self for their support and guidance.
I am not my thoughts, emotions, sense perceptions, and experiences. I am not the content of my life. I am Life. I am the space in which all things happen. I am consciousness. I am the Now. I Am ~ Eckhart Tolle
